  • Oh wow that guitar solo was outstanding! LOL!

  • Lay off the booze boys

  • It makes me tired too...

  • Was he really stoned?

  • Paul drenched in Tequila ,not the best mind you.Check out ... Santana and his Tequila .Emerson btw is Geoff, the sound engineer. He is also famous for engineering Mahavishnu Orchestra and especially "Apocalypse".I know,it´s called deriviation from Beatles to other music ...

  • I heard Lennon did a cover of this

  • @kingrunnisfilms EXCUSE ME?!?!?!?!

  • If you played this to Paul I wonder if he'd even remember singing it! LOL!

  • Absolutely terrible... I love it!

  • I love this

  • Chronic cough at the end.

  • @stratman123 lennon.

  • I heard this song was written by John because he was having an affair with Yoko, and wasn't sure what to yet do with his marriage. He was torn between leaving Cynthia and Julian for her, and was tired from all the recording sessions while working on the White Album.

  • @ritab1281 a demo of the song was recorded before the sessions for the white album began

  • this is like a "stonned-relaxed-happy-version" of "I'm so tired" lol

  • Comment removed

  • this was after it was recorded because the gibberish is at the end of the album version, and Paul was trying to imitate it but couldn't xD

  • Cannabis brought me here

  • I use this song as the alarm tone! XD

  • paul should do this in concert...it would work....

  • sounds like paul indulging john to get him interested in what they were really trying to record.(probably one of paul's songs)

  • Comment removed

  • I think when John and Paul covered each other's songs, they tried to do it not so good to avoid a competition between them.

When John covered songs of Dylan and Elvis he did it jokingly from the same reason.

  • estaba dado vuelta el muchacho

  • I'm the very youngest of the baby boomer generation, but I was old enough to listen to and love the Beatles then each on their own. I envied older people who could go to their concerts! We were blessed with the best music of all times, with many groups lasting right through to our kids being able to love them too. They said mom why don't we have good music like you did? Good Question.

  • i WONDER IF HE DID GET UP AND FIX HIMSELF A FEW DRINKS? But really this is a good example of the whims of the silly git's!!

  • who had more number ones in The Beatles, McCartney or Lennon then?

  • @fogboys03 Paul had more

  • @aaqaaqaaqaaqaaqaaqaa You clearly have no clue about music or anything else for that matter. it's an embarrassment if you even call yourself a Lennon fan, or a Beatles fan.

  • sorry im kinda sick and on medicine right now, none of that prolly made sense... but im sure you get what i mean. THE BEATLES, by far the best band (overall) ever (in my opinion). so ahead of their time and genius material, would give anything to just live then and hang out with em. id love to jam with george and john especially! sorry GOODNIGHT

  • it really bums me out when i realize what generation i was born into. i know theres still good bands out there ...and the music i play with my friends/activities we participate in are somewhat close. but i just wish i was born in the later 40s or something..before everything got out of hand, people had class and respect for each other,, music was well written, people in bands had talent and could write all their songs...blah blah blah.... i dont know how to explain it,

  • The Beatles must have had some fun times. The Stones would have done it this way.

  • this sounds like it's from the white album sessions... love hearing them play with songs, and having fun since they seemed at each other's throats around this era

  • They sound better wasted and high then I could ever hope to sound sober

  • hahah i love it

  • oh sir paul: So Terribly Awful ... and fun to hear this! What a hoot!

  • VOICE THAT HORRIBLE!

  • oh billy keep trying

  • O.o woah, that was mind blowing

  • Nice. Where is this version from?

  • I love this picture of them. :-)

  • is what it felt like coming down, or so we thought

  • WHERES THE BOOZE, BOY?

  • Paul was high on something here. He is Midas in that everything he touches turns to gold.........except this.

  • You can tell that this was not a serious take. They're just having some fun in the studio. There are many examples of this with The Beatles, just listen to Abbey Road!

  • JOHN SANG BETTER THIS SONG. BUT, THE PAUL VERSION IS ANYWAY FANTASTIC. THANK YOU...

  • get some sleep and try it again Paul

  • was he drunk or something?

    he sounds funny

  • haha. paul is so amazing. only paul could make this work! <3 love paul with all my heart!

  • Oh come on guys he's obviously messing around, i mean he's giggling and speaking gibberish half the time. Obviously the real song with John is the best but Paul's stoned or drunk here haha either way he was just being silly. GOTTA LOVE IM

  • In my opinion Paul should have sang it on the record... and way back in 66 John should have sang "Here, there and everywhere".

  • this version smells pot !

  • @manu57ize Hell Yeah! LOL!

  • @manu57ize Besides the pot, it sounds like vocally it doesn't fit Paul. This is one of those 'anger' songs that fits John. Thank god they decided John should do this. It's John's song anyways.

Paul really spazes out when he's high doesn't he? lol

  • From the sound of the drums, this is probably from the Abbey Road sessions.

  • IM SO GLAD THAT JOHN SANG IT

  • @LordDookufan NO NO NO Way , but I love Pauls singing too , but this is a John soug. Still this is cool I love there off hand stuff.

  • @sublimepuravidamae, you don't understand sarcasm, do you?

  • I forever will Love Sir Paul but, I'm glad John sang it :-) LM

  • it could be a fake.

  • @Stube437 Very definitely Paul.

  • Paul sounds more tired than John!

  • Paul better than John!

  • lol he's soooo stonnnnnned. "no! lay off the boos boys" lol

  • he aint tired ,,he's fucking stoooonnnnnnnnnnnnned

  • @whoarethebrainpigs They weren't necessarily high all of the time. It is possible to joke around like this without being high. I'm a little tired of people always assuming The Beatles were constantly high. I think you'd be surprised that they weren't such heavy drug users. Think about it -- if they were always high, they never would have had any problems. They'd have always had fun and gotten along. The studio would have been a fun place. They wouldn't have referred to it as a drag.

  • Don't say John is better, Paul was obviously having fun, and messing around.

  • That's great! Never heard this before.

With Beatles in mind, I've posted the video, "40 years in 3 minutes", which is a music video containing the Beatles' rooftop performance, historical events over the last 40 years and 8mm film antics from the period, all cut tightly to GET BACK and GLASS ONION. Hope you enjoy!

  • Guys, Paul was just fucking around having fun. It's great for what it is.

  • Cought a cold, John?

  • I'm So Happy that John sang the vocals on this

    because Paul sucks on this!!!

  • @bellylaughing You're an idiot. Paul was messing around. This was done during the Get Back sessions. Did 'Let it Be' or 'Get Back' sound like this? The answer is no because Paul was trying to sing for the best possible take on those serious sessions. He is just messing around here. John sang Obla Di Oblah Da around the same time and by your opinion it would suck too compared to how Paul sang it....

  • flat. out. awesome.

  • At 1:06 it is definitely John shouting «I'm going insane»

  • Awesome Paul Ur Rock Awesome Pic

  • Love the ending lololololol

  • Don't think that this is really Paul, guess someone makes a joke. Where and when should he have sung John's song? In the monoversion of this song one can hear ery could how Paul is singing background, but he never sings the leadvocals. Guess this here is fake.

  • @Barratino This is Paul. I´d recognize his voice anywhere.

  • @Barratino Not fake, this version is from the Get Back Sessions, exactly January 3, 1969. By the way, John sung Obladi Oblada the same day, as well as at January 29, Paul sung All Things Must Pass first verse, John the second and George the third verse. Sorry for my not quite good english.

  • @Barratino They often sang each other's tunes while jamming in the studio, and come on,how can't you recognize mccartney's voice?

  • @Barratino Omg you are an idiot. Do you think it impossible at all that during down time that they would play maybe inside favorite songs to pass the boring times? Watch Let it be the movie. They did it all the time. Is it so hard for your little brain to comprehend Paul singing a John song or John singing a Paul song? If you did your research you could find a lot of beatle songs here sung by another beatle. Look up 'Get Back' sung by John here on Youtube and you would be surprised....

  • @Macca1969 Why are you so abusive? My skepticism is not a reason to be insulting. You are far away from the Beatles creed of love and understanding. You do not deserve the name of Macca.

  • @Barratino Macca is not a title that was earned lol. I have that name because I'm a fan of Paul McCartney. But you're right, I was very abusive in my response to you. I apologize for that. After a long time of arguing with fans of John Lennon(who can be equally abusive) I let my temper get the best of me. Sorry again for that post.

  • @Barratino Sorry to butt in to a private well semi private conversation, my take is the the beatles are scousers & taking the piss is a way of life in liverpool, so as angry as anyone can get is soon worn down with years of back & forth verbal stabs. So it's more of a case of the bastard got me that time & i have to wait for my turn. the song

" And your bird can sing " is about jagger telling john about marriane faithfull & that she can sing really well.

    chuckle butties all round.

  • hahahaha I loooovvee Paul :D

  • Lol great stoner cough at the end there priceless

  • I wonder how this song would have sounded if Paul sang it seriously. He used to have such an amazing scream.

  • No, no, no, Lay off the Boose boy

  • I think that coughing at the end says it all :) I love it!

  • Is he drunk or something?

  • @raintalonwindclan even better... high ;)

  • i love it......they were always playing around like this........i love seeing their lip syncing songs............ticket to ride............love me like you did last night......they r always laughing

  • "No! Lay off the booze, boy." Oh, Man, is it sad that I love doing this kind of stuff to my friends? When McCartney dies, a part of me will forever be missing! "Emma Ziggy Besh bizzy bizzy Emma EEma Ziggy!" :D

  • @MissBeatleBailey Paul is dead

  • @downer12256 VERY funny... I've NEVER heard that one before.. Really? You should know by now that that conspiracy just pisses people off.

  • très détendue ça fait aussi du bien à entendre des années après

  • At the end, Paul is saying "John is dead, Miss him miss him". What about this new JID theory?

  • @coliter there was actually a small rumor in 1965 that john died, the cover of Help! started it because they werent spelling 'HELP' but the lettters they showed with their arms were "NFLV' which means "New Found Lennon Vocalist' i couldn't see it resemble that at all but i read that in an article, more bs from the press possibly? idk but there's always rumors about everything going on in the music industry

  • @coliter He doesn't say that at all?..... sounds nothing like it.

  • @coliter Conspiracy theorists. John lives. Immortal.

  • @coliter Maybe because this was recorded by Paul McCartney (or that imposter guy if you fucking belive in that rubbish) after December 8th, 1980.

  • Too funny! From the Get Back sessions, I take it...?

  • @jayburdification Nah, John decided not to show up that day, I take it, and so they're messing around. In the Anthology, Paul mentions that John sometimes would just blow off sessions to go and get high with Yoko. so it must be from 1968.

  • @MissBeatleBailey No, that's deff John's cough at the end.

  • @VideoKillledTheRadio Maybe... If so, that's kind of cruel. :) Making fun of John's song right in front of him... Oh, WTH who cares? It's the Beatles... :D :3 :3 <3 <3

  • @MissBeatleBailey haha AMEN to that :DD

  • "Lay off the booze boy" hahaha Paul should have chimed that in for the final version :)

  • For 20 years I've seen this listed on the back of $100+ bootleg albums in second hand record shops, now I finally got to hear it. Puts a smile on my face.

  • @WagTheDoug should learn how to use bittorent sites.. nobody pays $100 for old vinyl bootlegs anymore. everything is free on the net :) I have over 80gb of Beatles outtakes and boots. There are hundreds of them there, with tons of amazing stuff on them. It's a pity that most fans only have ever heard the officially released 'Anthology' cd's. Those only scratch the surface of all that is out there.

  • @pjtunes1967 May I ask how you acquired such a collection?

  • @klebacher google mp3 blogs, 'beatles boots' bittorrent sites.. there are lots of forums out there for bootlegs, once you find a few you will find links on them to others. and just keep going from there. most of them nowdays have links to direct downloads on file hosting sites

  • It's funny. Paul sang a version of IWY (SSH) too but I don't think John ever sang any of Paul's songs but wanted to sing Oh Darling. I think the fact they were playing around with different vocalists on songs at the end of the band is v.intriguing.

  • Paul was obviously kidding... He's not really trying to make a good song. I agree with AeroBeatlesDoorsLed

  • John's voice is definately better for this song. He also wanted to sing Helter Skelter.

  • @mardi06 Paul created perfection with Helter Skelter.

  • There are hidden meanings in many Beatles songs, but they are perceived by a chance of perspective rather than listening to songs backwards like people have tried. Go to TRUTHcontest [dot]com, then open "The Present" and read through the section about The Beatles.

  • at the end i swear i heard paul say pussy facey

  • the one who coughes at the end sounds like John, is it him?

  • AHAHAHAHAH i love this dude its so funny

  • Cool, i like this, But like John's version, of me, a little better.

  • @Beatlescanner They are just rehearsing and learning the changes...anyone could sing at this point. It's just to map out the song, while they are working on the arrangements

  • @novanine9

I know, I just think that John's voice better suits the song.

  • @Beatlescanner - I agree.

  • @GeorgeHarrisonLovr97 aaah! ok

  • Ha! Cos at the end of the real I'm So Tired, there is some mumbling, but this is just silly!

  • Emma Zigga megga zemma!

  • Me los imagino riéndose los 4 de esta versión xD son geniales y muy graciosos

  • That's Saul, not Paul.

  • @creatorofk Faul = Fake Paul. I saw this horrible "Documentary" about Paul's "death" supposedly told by George Harrison and beside the fact that it sounded nothing like him, the accent was WAY off.

  • @shaitan9 you don't know what your talking about

  • @shaitan9 I don't? I suggest you look for the movie called "Paul is Dead: The Last Testament of George Harrison". Tis where I got 'Faul' since that was what they supposedly called the fake Paul.

  • I love the endless comments by people that just guess and haven't a clue about the facts. And how fairly easy it is to get them. Paul is signing John's song for a laugh. You can absolutely hear George's mahogany Fender guitar (he used it al lot during the filming of Let Ir Be) along with John's guitar and John is doing the harmony. They, in spite of all the talk, really had a lot of laughs together. This was just another of countless funny out takes. Hasn't any of you seen the movie Let It Be?

  • The most talented band in the world.

  • Yeah, I remember "Commonwealth". Surprised it isn't on anything. Are you sure?

  • LAY OFF THE BOOZE, BOY!!!!!

  • I wonder why every thing they did was wonderful... :O my God!

  • Paul's a teribble most of the time...ie now.

  • January 3rd 1969 at Twickenham Film Studios.

  • Silly Paul :) "emma zigga magga zegga"

  • Well, he called her and surely fixed himself a drink, yes, yes yes!!

    an alcoholic one,

Paul Im waiting for you on May in Chile

    Greatest man alive

  • Lay off the booze boy! Good bands know how to laugh at themselves. do you agree?

  • who's saying this isn't Paul? Can't you hear those typical Paul screams?

  • It would be lovely if Macca rescued this for his live shows.

  • I like this version as much as John's, not more than, but as much.

  • @McLen194042

I wasn't saying anything bad about Paul. I was just saying that it SEEMS like he sung most of the songs. And he SEEMS like the one who might have a huge ego. Just because he was the pretty boy of the group when they started out. And thanks for telling me that, love. At least now I know Paul didn't think he was better than the others. <333 (:

  • @jadaskylar Um, he did NOT sing most of their songs. Not even.

  • @binks9997

Well that didn't really answer my question...but thanks, anyway. i suppose. >.>'

  • I know that Paul doesn't sing this song, John does...but I have a question, if anyone can answer it. Why does it seem like Paul McCartney sung most of the Beatles' songs? To me, I think it was because he thought he was better than the rest of them.

I always imagined him being the pretty boy of the group, y'know the one with an ego the size of Russia?

  • @jadaskylar John had just as big of an ego if not bigger. It would be hard not to not become egotistic if your 20 somethings and in the biggest band in the world. I would imagine it would get into anyones head if at least for a bit.

  • @jadaskylar Also tho if your listen to all there albums it def starts out with John singing a majority of the songs. He started out as the main song writer but it seems as the beatles went on paul slowly started to become the lead musician of the group. i remember George Martin commenting in a interview that Abbey road was mostly pauls work.

  • @jadaskylar He didn't sing more songs because he thought he was better than them. In later years, he sang more because he WROTE more while John was strung out and/or depressed. He had a strong work ethic and immense creativity that he didn't waste. If you think that means he thought he was better than the rest of them...so be it, but I think you couldn't be further from the truth.

  • you can really hear him in the mono version of this from white album

  • that aint the real paul

  • Bet ya thats Paul drunk.

  • I don't know if anyones said this yet but it's sang not sung. Just sayin(;

  • @kicknitoldschool85

    sing sang sung

  • Not Paul's finest moment but great stuff

  • Oh, Paul. You're so funny.

  • nice one....... a little bit a fun messing around, that's how these guys were, people!

  • That is fun beetwen friends, tha is all. hahaha, If I were John I would be laughing like crazy and then I will play While my Guitar Weeps. Nice.

  • Love the sound of the guitars on this

  • John is actually there you can hear him coughing and laughing at the end, this is what they did during their recording sessions to let off steam, your all talking BOLLOCKS

  • so funny, but this is one of my favs songs and I so don't like this version haha but it's Paul, so it's awesome! xD

  • The end is priceless, Paul's version of John's mumbling. It sounds like John called in sick that day so Paul, George, and Ringo decided to make fun of his song lol. " Emmma ziggga maggga zemmma!!!!" -Paul

  • @walrusgh Maybe .... except there appear to be two guitars (one warblized, one not), and who's singing the harmonized background vocals? Could it be John, watching (and helping!) Paul wreck his own song?

  • @Jobotubular Wasn't uncommon with the two.

  • @Jobotubular Could be.

  • @walrusgh hahaha so true!

  • @walrusgh - There's 2 guitars playing here plus bass so John's def there. I'm a musician so we pay attention to these things. With the Beatles, it was never about who played what. What makes great bands like The Beatles and U2 is the fact that they all approach each song as 4 separate artists...not four musicians, stuck to their instruments.
