  • Hey birdlady!

    Thanks for sharing this video!

    Kevin from PT

  • im i wrong to say thats on the wrong leg?

  • It doesn't matter which leg you band them on.

  • i was told left leg upside down because if you enter them in a show and yours is on the wrong leg you cant enter? have you heard that before

  • its too bad i dont have any bands on hand to band my squab :(

  • how old were the younsters because that looks a tight squeeze i've been there

  • i have roller pigeons

  • nice and usefull video-info.

  • a few days ago a young (not baby but not adult) pigeon's mother was eaten alive by a cat in the neighborhood (my little sister's nanny saw) I was wondering what I should do to raise it. I've been feeding it through a syrenge so far and teaching it to drink water from a bowl.

  • I raise racing pigeons too. :)

That's pretty much the same way I've been banding them except I think it's easier to have someone hold the bird still. When I was little I used to be able to band them without needing anything to pull the toe through... wish my fingers were still that little!

  • a cool you do? I am just getting involved with pidgeons, any tips on nurturing a pidgeon with a broken legg? Wild pidgeons fly to my shoulder and on the hands but some are injured and i duno what to do. Thanks

  • i like to raise pigeons too, i prefer to raise ornamental pigeon, but unfortunatelly here in brasil we are forbidden to imports them. what kind of pigeon do you raise? i loved to see you putting band in the babies pigeons

  • I raise racing pigeons.
