  • bunch of over read art majors which have turned out to be useless in the real world.

  • This is nothing but a parlor trick. People who have to disappear, ie wanted by the law, exwives, mafia or whatever, they do a hell of a lot better job. I know several people who have had to "take a powder" and have never been found. Now, to a more practical application, personal privacy can protect you from everything from noisy telemarketers to black suited, gun tottin government thugs. Its hard to get privacy, but it still can be done and it will be priceless when you get it.

  • Become overweight

  • @The3adman lololol

  • I can't disappear.

    I love publicity too much.

    George Vreeland Hill

  • @GeorgeVreelandHill :) It would be a shame if you did

  • basically what this video says is if you want to disappear delete your facebook and dont vent your personal life on the net the internet is the biggest paper trail ever invented prepare to be TRACKEDD!!! be smart and be human a social network is a curse just as much as an addiction. everyone wants to know everything bout everyone becuz everyone likes to know everyone's business nothing is private anymore and everyone is losing common sense more and more everyday!

  • Holly shit! I don't even know how to respond to this.

  • Makes me want to try something similiar, but i don't have that kind of money, to use and for the reward.

  • I like the video. If u want to watch a good movie about disappearing watch erasing David available on Netflix. It is a film about a guy trying to disappear in England and to serif to pi's can track him down. Anther good thing to seeks the last enemy a masterpiece series on Netflix about a surveillance state in the near future in England

  • You noobs , watch the whole video, and then comment. or write comments throughout the video and click post at the end when you actually know what their talking about, this video is about an amazing experiment, and would make a great movie :D

  • this is the best mis-click i've ever done :D

  • what tthe fuck am i looking at.

  • orr you could just kill youself :D

  • @Lucky24h But thats not fun D:

  • i see...

  • start at @15:00

Posting photos of yourself online in the age of facial recognition software?

Shit anyone who puts themselves online like that is generally a moronic sheep.

  • When does the stuff about the Wired experiment start? Seems to be all about artists being dumb.

  • OK...Where is the stuff about How to Disappear in America ? All I am seeing is stuff about art! What a let down!

  • facebook, lol. i have my facebook account ,i added game on facebook cityville ,wrote in cityville forum i look for neighbours and bam-after 2 days i have 183 friends, and that guy is thinking so hard how to get 30 friends ,amazing :D

  • How is this related to 'How did Gabe Newell become fat?'

  • BORING!

  • bet ALL those politicians & banks WANT you ON THE GRID!Your their slaves for political & economic reasons ONLY!

  • interesting that the cellphone can be tracked until you remove the battery...and with these many new cellphones we get much more of this phones where you actually can't take the battery out...

  • @00Kaleidoscope00 wrap the phone in aluminum foil and it will act as a Faraday cage, blocking all incoming/outgoing signals. if the phone is still on it will run the battery down quickly as it boosts the signal searching for towers, but it will block the signal. to test it make a call, listen to the other person on speaker phone then hear them cut out once you finish wrapping it.

  • He should have crossed the border and either have gone to Mexico or Canada. I think he kind of did everything correctly. He hopped from town to town but that was his mistake he should have chosen a really small town around New England or the Mexican border. He left too many glues behind as he went moving from town to town. I'd have stayed in a small town and kept a low profile. I have a relative who had disappeared for over 30 years when we found his whereabouts he was already dead.

  • The point was to stay hidden IN AMERICA. You can read, right?

  • @ObscuredByTime read my post again stupid asshole. I mentioned Mexico and Canada well those countries are in America.

  • Art that is so minimalistic that it's hardly there amuses me to no end. Fine example is the stage light in a darkened gallery. As an artist it's also incredibly infuriating. I immediately think "THAT'S art?!", but yes anything is art if explained.

  • @SupportWikileaks CHINESE B*TCH!

  • just call a random number then read numbers from the phone book with letters hear and their. that will freak them out.

  • who the fuck watched this whole damn thing?

  • @2yan5 ...me....crap...does that make me an idiot?

  • @2yan5 Me.

  • Where's Waldo

  • I love how the seekers of internet regulations call social networking a seek for fame and privacy... REALLY? You think there aren't just people that want to talk to their friends, as its the only way to anymore, or perhaps the fact that the people that want fame from social networking are too stupid to know what is supposed to be private and what is public.

  • @TehW00terMan use a telephone

  • @benerack

I do.. and from my phone I check in, check Facebook, ---- i dont get your point.. Also, I said that there are people out there that do these strictly because of their friends. I know damn well half of these social networks are flash in the pan.

    Try using a brain..

  • @TehW00terMan ppl are talking via the majority. the most common activity of the internet is attention whoring. its permeated in the culture of the internet

  • stay away from technology, but if you must use a computer, use a different one every time with no connection to yourself. if you must buy one, use cash and wear a hat when you purchase and perhaps sunglasses, and do not connect it with any information that relates to you or anyone you have any connection with. make friends using new identities. make other friends with other identities. always wear a hat and try to wear sunglasses. remember to disable the camera and mic on the computer you use

  • He uses a mac, no longer paying attention.

  • @manka6

That and his general feminine characteristics...dead ringer for an obama voter.

  • @r3ap3rrr But that's in England :)

  • @HeyItsTateAndRory move engalnd to the U.S.

  • so....no ones going to comment on how the heck did the uploader manage to upload a 1:24:05 long vid???

youtube wont even allow me to post a 16 mins long vid!!

  • @garchompelago he's a youtube partner

  • @garchompelago You think that this video is long? Check this one out: /watch?v=Q7aF_FhALzs its 4 weeks long

  • @garchompelago

I doubt your videos are even as close of a quality to this one.

  • @Dawgmeatt thats not even relevant to my question D:

  • @garchompelago

Yeah, but it sure is douchy of me to say. Certain profiles that Youtube choses gain the ability to upload videos as long as full length movies, maybe longer. Usually when you become a youtube partner that happens it seems.

  • @Dawgmeatt ohhhh bribing youtube and sucking up to their asses so you can post a longer vid? its not worth the effort well atleast now I know how those vevo bastards and other motherbleeping companies come out of nowhere pop out all around youtube claiming copyrights on videos and deliberately removing a lot of vids here those f..king companies doesnt exist in the past now they just remove good videos just because their music is "used" or something its not even like we claim that its ours -_-

  • @garchompelago You're one of those people who finds things to complain about when it's free, right?

  • @WaterCow12 you dont get my point im sure of it

  • @garchompelago They don't bribe, they don't suck up to their asses, no. You apply to become a partner. You WILL be accepted if you your channel is popular enough.

  • 3150s CIA apparently likes to be stereotypical

  • Fascinating video. Eye opening on so many levels and a great confirmation of my wariness about digital "security" and anonymity.

If the woman who asked the question about small talk at 1:07:00 ish ever reads this (unlikely I know) - that was a fantastic question and something I'd been wondering almost the whole way through and have considered before too. Thanks for asking it. :D

  • This guy is a wanker!

  • This Guy should be on TED.com

  • The whole experience is strangely a pretty good description of what it's like to be autistic.

  • This guy learned from 2Pac, haha.

  • utube freeman

  • I mean, whats the point of making it so complicated? Why not just rent an apartment in NYC for 30 days, stay put, and not use the Internett at all for 30 days?

  • @xxerman

You'd still be using your own credit cards, your own ATM, your own bank account, etc.

Remember, all his info was posted to the public, so if he had stayed put, it would have been a huge indicator of where he was.

  • @xxerman Mmmmm what you fail to take into account, is that not using the internet for thirty days is FUCKING IMPOSSIBLE!!!

  • People who fake their own deaths??

    Oh..

They mean like, Michael Jackson, was was spotted and identified sitting in the audience of his own funeral dressed in his famous "old man" disguise.

  • @CorporateRule ... MJ is dead you fuck. He had an open casket...

  • @Javis586 You sure it wasn't just a rubber mask?

I mean - how would you tell the difference?

    :p

  • @thirteenfingers lollllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll

  • @Javis586 - No he didn't. It was closed. Either way, thereis no conclusive proof of his continued living or death.

  • @JHandcock1111 Give me one reason why he would fake his own death?

Yeah exactly, there is no logical reason lol.

    He is dead...

  • @Javis586-Ur asking me why the most hounded man on the planet would get sick and tired of it and fake his own death? With all due respect, if U can't come up with logical reasons why MJ would choose to fake his own death, u have serious problems with comprehension and logical thought - lol. As I said before, there is no conclusive proof either way (However, his "corpse" sitting up while they were transporting his "body" by air is something to consider in ur musings concerning this subject.).

  • @JHandcock1111 Ok, then why did he wait until now to fake his death?

I know he is one of the most ridiculed persons on the planet, but thats been going on for a long time, so why wait until now?

  • @Javis586 - The most obvious one is that he was facing bankruptcy and Havenhurst would have been forclosed on within a month of his "death" if he hadn't "died". He had to have known that he'd make more money dead than alive, and it is well known rehearsals were depleting a body in poor health beyond what it could stand, and his performances @ same were well below par - he would not have been able to complete his contract, and would have been sued. He was a man with nowhere to go.

  • @JHandcock1111 Dude, he's fucking dead... respect it kid, jesus people like you are ridiculous.

  • @Javis586 This all started w/ me pointing out he had a closed casket - indeed, it was later revealed the "body" wasn't even in the casket @ the memorial. I really have no opinion - I can argue either way, and I do. BTW, I am not a kid - check my profile. Assuming my age, or indeed, assuming a personal point of view from a non personal debate is silly.

  • @Javis586 -Further, I'd like to appologise for my snarky comment from two days ago("-u have serious problems with comprehension and logical thought - lol."). I was getting alot of flak from pp -in other threads-for whom their debate level doesn't go beyond 'Cherrios or Cocoa Puffs?' and I was finding it frustrating dealing with them. I took it out on you and I'm sorry. Please accept my apology. And btw, you didn't come back at me with a logical counter point to my last point-wanna try? =)

  • @JHandcock1111 Tbh that was some good logic lol, maybe he did maybe he didn't, but he's not comin back anytime soon.

  • ......wat the heck is this crap... i thought it was magic!! >:(

  • @MultiLizardQueen you made me lol

  • omg it look like need 2 days to upload

  • jack bauer would of tracked this wimp down and waterboard his amateur ass..

  • @DREwestcoast You suck. Jack Bauer is a created figure that makes putting camera's up citizen's asses sexy in order to recruit dummies into the pro-government movement.

  • @GittarHedd Jack Bauer always does the right thing..

  • @GittarHedd keiffer is a stooge . Im glad I punched him in the face in public school : )

  • This guy had a good idea, but he was pretty sloppy with the planning.

If you need to "disappear" you aren't going to set up a facebook or twitter account. In regards to people searching for you online, common names create big problems with finding the right person.

If you know how to use tech properly you can disappear easily.

    Anonymous credit cards = good

    Anonymous cell phone = good

Internet = spoof your MAC and hit up the free McDonalds Wifi, or Tor that shit!

  • sweet... ill never loss a game hide n seek ever again

  • where in the world is carmen san diego.

  • where inthe world is carmen san diego.

  • The title is spelled wrong it should be 'How to Disappear in America for 25 days.'

  • This is the world we live in, in a nutshell. You tell people what's going on in life, the world, the shadow government, and they think you are crazy. And here you have this "nobody" (no disrespect intended) who has no money, is not power hungry, etc, who has just pulled off this heist of sorts, BUT...for some reason, it's not plausible that megamillionaires and billionaires who are rich beyond, greedy and power hungry for more control simply CANNOT and WOULD NOT do such evil things to mankind!

  • @XenophobicPiglet First off.. LOVE THE NAME!!!! but no, I was just resonding to some one else's post, Although I do love Fight Club!

  • @babycanaryyellin I get what you are saying, The last 20 years of presidents have most definitely been puppets and the people are meant to follow. The thing about this world is it is FULL of people who believe what they are told if there is just a little "coincidence" evidence. They are called Sheep! Internet, TV and Video games are a distraction, but if they dont choose to really listen and pay attention to whats really going on then let them parish, the new world wont need their ignorance.

  • @Shirenkie You just get done watching Fight Club or something?

Tone it down a bit dude.

  • think she had impotence on the mind

  • This was a very interesting story. Goes to show what we can accomplish when we work together.....Now, if only americans would do this for the bankers that run our lives.

  • @CoNiGMa Oh how great to be rid of this entirely ILLEGAL bunch of psycho bankers who stole power over our lives in 1913, without the consent of The People! A lot of people still don't know! If only we could have REAL presidents again, not bankers puppets scared of being shot like Kennedy was for not agreeing with the bankers insane plan to enslave us all by using FEAR.

There are MILLIONS more of us than them, and that's why they're scared & brain-damage us with TV in case we realise it!

  • WTF 1 hour

  • They think I'm 12 with that patronizing intro?

  • Please edit out the intro. Please do not patronise me by stating the obvious about art pieces.

Please speak louder and faster. Please realise that slow quiet talking is very selfish and boring.

Please find a louder audience, thank you.

It verges on mental cruelty to make an interesting topic SO DULL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

  • @BabyCanaryYelllin ...lol

  • Thumbs up if you think this isn't worth watching.

  • @Smashingpain dumbass.

  • @TheBuxxx Nope.

  • Cool! I want to go into hiding

  • Sick of asshole cops and the scumbag politicians they really protect? Visit my website "SAY NO TO COPS" and let's raise a collective middle finger to these motherfuckers. The link is in my profile.

  • the best way to disappear is to get off the internet, change your name, close you bank account, stop using your ss# only use cash. that is it. voila. you are not longer alive.

  • @pandabead No longer alive and separated from everything and everyone you've ever loved. It's sounds easy to do, but going into hiding is more psychologically traumatic than most would think. Constantly paranoid, no idea what's going on with your loved ones... no place to truly call home.

Many who've faked their own deaths were undone by their inability to not check in with the family they've left behind once in a while.

  • 1:23:57 He kicked over his water!!!

  • It is said the NSA in America has the power to make some people disappear, such as witnesses of high level govt corruption, some later found dead. One such case is of the girlfriend of US Congressman Gary Condit, Chandra Levy. Reports say Chandra Levy told a friend she was pregnant and was going public, which would likely force Congressman Condit to step down from the House Intelligence Committee. Chandra Levy vanished and was later found dead. Chandra was Jewish, so it's not Jews doing this.

  • Amazing discussion. I just wish that the 15 minute introduction was eliminated, though. Granted, fascinating to hear about previous ventures of this nature, but when the speakers use disjointed sentences to sound poetic, that's just disappointing.

  • lmao at gluten free restaurants 35:50

  • Every one here sucks...

At 15 secondss of the video i just got bored.

Even Howcast is way better than this shit.

  • Doesn't this guy sound a bit 'self-obsessed"? Narcissistic? Ego, ego, ego??

This whole thing is about his disappearing...but he didn't want to disappear so much as to 'be famous'??

  • 47:07

    MIT vs Nerdfighters, yeah? :3

  • i skipped to 21 minutes and got the point and now i'm leaving.

  • @jw16e4 u leave yet?

  • They decoded scrambled IP addresses to find this Evan guy? Isn't that illegal? There should have been a cash prize for helping Evan hide. He could easily have had a bunch of geeks help him become invisible and it would have been even footing.

  • I loved this.. I wish Id known about it as it happened.. it would have been great to follow.

  • 0:21 to get to the point

  • tl;dr

  • Comment removed

  • =/ my attention span isnt long enough sorry but it sounds intresting =)

  • longest youtube video ever!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Skip to 21 minutes in to get to the point.

  • @PrepareForChaos ..lol

  • @PrepareForChaos thanks!!

  • LOLOLOLOLOL!

The guy who (used) to work at microsoft uses a MAC!! ahahahaha :D

  • Nothing new here,in the days of Kings they could find you because of things like confession and you could not get very far away anyways.

  • The whole dissapearing thing kinda starts at 18 mins in.

  • Holy crap, these guys like the sound of their own voices. Jesus, get to the damn point! Next...

  • Artists of the 20th century we tell these shallow morons to F--k off.

No more pretentious talentless schlock of low quality.

Reboot the fast food cultural paradigm of the fear of depth greedtards.

Nobody cares about your idiotic identity crisis, dude.

Yeah, it's not real, it's superficial it doesn't withstand the test of time.

Go back to your job at K=Mart-you have no skill, no talent except for bs.

  • @Starwheel6 ... the fuck?

  • @mikeboogie25 I think what Starwheel is trying to say is that McDonald's sucks and that commercial artists suck.

  • @Starwheel6 wow, douchebag... this isn't an "identity crisis" this is an exercise in privacy, very useful for certain ppl, on the run from immoral laws (e.g. our drug laws), or dissidents and NGO folk in other countries (e.g. the authoritarian regime in Russia). Please get a grip, you stupid tit.

  • @MEpianist No one's surprised you're deluded by your own pretensions.

Are you saying privacy has nothing to do with a crisis in identity? Ha Hah! You are such a shallow loser. Too bad for you, you stew in a

narcissistic soup of your own delusions. Yeah you can try to spin

your attempts to solidify ego identity with convoluted political correctness.

Now you're piling crap on top of crap. All you end up being is a dung beetle

pushing your own turdball up a mtn of pretensions. It's laughable.

  • @Starwheel6 sounds like fatty got a thesaurus!!!!

  • @shintosungod -What are you? 6-years old? Again no one's surprised that the audience for this crap

consists of the shallow, the infantile, the deluded and the weak-minded.

Like attracts like. The like-minded and all that.

My rants have no need of a thesaurus since they are based on wit.

If you want to share more of your chicken mcnuggets of non-

wisdom than I'd be happy to wipe the floor with your McDonald's philosophy.

Your fast food thinking is easily seen thru.

Not at all fat by the way.

  • @Starwheel6 hey you had them lost on the word "pretensions" they think that's the shoulder pain they experience as they reach for the white pill of delusion.

Let's hack them with our humane wisdom that was not substituted for similac of the mind , media worship sponsored by all those master entertrancers.

  • zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

  • Very boring and 2 long

  • I just finished this, and for all the people who say it was too long, you need to finish this, once you get past the art it is an amazing story and it's funny but really deep and interesting.. Makes one really think..

  • @MrModernNinja Thank God, someone who actually has an attention span longer than a Kesha video.

  • Interesting. I stopped watching at 10:37. Too long...

  • Stop'd at :1 when the woman speak'd, Thought it was goin to b a cooking show or something..

  • ...

  • to long, didn't watch...

  • This exercise is also a good illustration how the intel agencies use disinformation.

  • This illustrates why Intel agencies purposely keep info 'silos' so that 'their' actions can not be fully traced. Plausible denial. Interesting piece recall reading it in Wired. problem with this example is he remained tethered to the technology.... they should try it under another scenario.

  • awesome story thanks for sharing

  • Interesting video. Did they farm the transcription job overseas? It gets worse as the vid progresses.

  • 1960's TV Show "RUN FOR YOUR LIFE" is about being chased by the Feds. This i like to do when i retire & i don't have to explain it unless I'm in A.A. meetings as a Speaker. The more closer I am with people I started to tell the truth & people just drift away because I got my head together or a sexual relations with some women gave me some good input & made them feel comfortable around them. I felt that some people are boring, so I wanted to hang with people who work with Google are not losers.

  • @papo1957 What are you talking about???

  • That's a good point.
