you need to be careful when doing bottle cuts. I managed to cut through 5 gallon milk jugs with a boning knife but it ended up in my knuckle. It did what a boning knife does best, removes meat off the bone

if you want to really test your cutting skills, take a inch diameter hemp rope, have it just hanging, and see if you can cut through it.....this is a test we used for checking a correct cutting edge
