@EAAY111 No, age has nothing to do with it. Shakespeare is old, but it's as relevant today as ever. It's cheesy because, like you said, they can't act this scene well. The music is awful and not appropriate for the scene at all. Very bad. Sorry to those who love it, and I'm a big fan of both these actors and 80s movies, but this scene is just not very good.

What's so good about this is that ponyboy says he remembers it cos he never quite new what it meant. He wouldnt get it cos he is gold. Johnny got it cos he lost his goldness. When I read it at school I was amazed by this poem and very quickly forgot about it. Now i'm a little older I totally appreciate this poem. I stole the book from school without cos I knew it was good act didnt remember why. When I read it again I remembered exactly why.

@camman1998 You should reeeeaaaallllyyy see the movie again and read the book. Definitely not Soda. Rob Lowe and Christopher Howell don't even look remotely similar. That scene takes place after Ponyboy and Johnny had already run away after Johnny murdered Bob. They're outside the abandoned church there I'm pretty sure. Sodapop had dark hair in the movie btw. Nowhere near blonde.
