  • has so much cum been squirted in your eyes that you can't see that this is a noble cause you rusty cuntbuckets?

  • Cheap eco symbolism! Lets be like a Pyongyan-style living! Oh, by the way, candles give off CO2 and gives off carbon! So all you tree huggers should just sit in the dark! I did my part….stocked up on a 20 year supply of incandescent light bulbs during the last two years! Those dim, mercury infested curly bulbs will not light up my house!

  • YEH~ MANILA~ [:

  • What ridiculously stupid event. Hyper inflation and rising energy costs will make energy unaffordable anyway. Maybe Al Gore can shut out the lights in his mansion that uses 10x more than most homes....or stop using his private jet for a day like the rest of all these rich hypocrites pretending they give a fuck about "the earth".

  • mjaaa93 bad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! >:(

  • lol MEL BOURNE BRIS BANE

  • too bad that those douche bags that hate electricity just didn't commit mass suicide instead.

  • "Unless Carmen Electra calls for an emergency titty fuck, don't answer the phone!!!!!!"-Jeremy Piven as Arie Gold on Enterouge to his gay little Asian assistant

    I love you Jeremy Piven.

  • I'm going to turn on all my lights and idle my car during earth hour to protest left-wing retardedness.

  • @HelmutHedd same man, same. im also going to leave my fridge door open and turn on the oven and light some old tires on fire

  • Why point out what everyone is NOT doing - that just excuses you from doing SOMETHING. The point of this is to DO something rather than complain about everyone else. Don't give excuses, take ACTION!

  • Jeremy piven makes EVERYTHING BADASS

  • No offense against Jeremy, but it's kind of ironic that he promotes Earth Hour while driving in a Range Rover.

  • I think they should do it for longer than an hour and more than once a year!

  • How much electricity did Jeremy Piven spend getting his hair transplants? Probably enough to light up an entire African village. Quit pretending you're not bald, jackoff!

  • NOW! that the earth hour is done..

let's make another move for the mother earth.. let's start celebrating the air hour, by holding your breathe for an hour to reduce carbon emission we made.. LOL

  • Al Gore did not participate in Earth Hour. It was too inconvenient.

Al Gore's mansion uses 221,000 kilowatt hours of electricity every year - more than 20 times the national average.

He couldn't even bother to turn off the floodlights illuminating his driveway and his trees.

  • Maybe China and India can really do something for the earth...huh? You think? How about persuading those countries to do something...?

  • One of the best hours in life just enjoyed the Silence. I hope next year the whole world joins and not only for an hour let the 60 be 120.

  • Yah I agree and I think they should do more than once a year!

  • is it just lights or everything?

  • Make a small difference - switch off your lights for 1 hour. Make a world of difference - go vegan for life. The meat and dairy industries cause 18% of all greenhouse gas emissions. Please switch to a planet-friendly plant-based diet! After earth hour, download a free vegan starter kit at myspace[dot]com/veganfuture

  • Norway took part as well, and i was actually suprised to see that so many turned off their lights.

    Great initiativ... !!!

  • I refuse to turn out my lights tonight in support of "Earth Hour" because I refuse to be in the dark about Global Warming.

  • 14 minutes left! Gothenburg Sweden will shutdown for earth. WE WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE, RIGHT FOLKS?!

  • Why no turn off computer aswell? your computer uses more than lights.

  • I enjoyed the Earth Hour, Beijing became quiet and peace.

  • Of course there's tons of other stuff that would work better, but still... It's just a symbol to show that we can reduce the effects of global warming if we really bothered ourselves to... Pls stop bitching about this ppl, be a bit more open minded and join the campaign!

  • Happy Earth Hour!

  • btw, Brisbane is pronounced "Brisb'n" (not "Brisbayne"), and Melbourne is pronounced Melb'n (not "Melborn") ... sorry, had to clarify lol 8)

  • It`s the sun to blame, all planets from our solar sistem are warming since 1980 because of the sunspot cicle.

    Search : illuminati

    wake up

  • You can not claim one direct cause to this. See it in perspective. billions of cars, factories, ships, planes, heating. You can not claim it has no effect on "something".

  • LOL, YOU and PEOPLE LIKE YOU are killing our earth. you are the one who needs to wake up. STUDY SCIENCE and dont blindly depend on the internet like a 7-year-old kid.

  • Moreover, as it is seen in the video 1:02-1:10 . It is common sense that we should switch off the lights when we are not using the room and not switch off the light for 1 hour just because of a lame earth hour.

  • I think ppl focus too much on the 1 hour and why must it be 830? It is so dumb to even specify the time. Maybe what we need to do is just use our current mobile phones for more than a year before changing it. I think this is more helpful than ppl switching off lights at 830.

  • Support earth hour!!! Turn your lights OFF at 8.30 pm, 28 March 2009... Where ever you are!

  • 8:30 PM - 9:30 PM

Turn off your all your lights for Earth Hour

    March 28, 2009

    EARTH HOUR

PUT THIS ON 10 YOUTUBE VIDEOS TO HELP SPREAD EARTH HOUR

  • I put up my Christmas Lights, Let's celebrate earth hour with a gigantic power surge bitches!

  • jerk

  • WHY!?

  • guys this is for last years Earth Hour okay! 2008! not 2009! that's why the date is different- just heard of Earth Hour huh? Well now is your chance to participate this year! 2009 March 28 at 8:30PM-

  • Earth hour is nothing more than a way to create a collective of simple minded people that do not question what they are being told. You create a large voter base of zombies that will vote/act/do whatever you tell them as long as it's for the "earth"

Earth hour = good for the earth, so I must do it or else I hate the earth.

Listen to your Government and the movie stars! Follow what they say! BE SHEEP!

    Don't think for yourself!

  • T_T what paranoid BS

  • Your dates and time are fucked up!!!

    March 28!!!!!

    8:30!!

  • Yeah that's it I will turn off my lights 28th

  • Yeah liberal, Bow down to the environmentalists slave!

  • Now hug it out bitch.

  • Just FYI - It's March 28th!!! not 29th!!!!

  • dixideas you suck

  • dlxideas are u fucking retarded dude or what? Cant u get the meaning of all these?

  • dlxideas i think you suck cocks evry day and youre tired because your boss is fat and he snaps u ;) FUCK U IDIOT!

  • ahahhhahahahaahahahahahahaha LOL

    xD

  • wtf is your problem.

u are missing tho whole point of this WHOLE thing.

    you SUCK.

  • hi all! we're reallly happy to join earth hour as well. new video on our page.

  • This can't be just an one hour thing... You have to call on companies to reduce wastes such as harmful chemicals... Starting with the cigarrettes (4,000+ chemicals burning into the atmosphere and into the streams during floods) to styrofoam, the world cannot depend just on coal and gas for energy~ This global effort starts with people pressuring their local politicians to make greener choices~

  • where can I find the background music of this video clip?

  • It should be done on the first day of each month.

  • I was just thinking the same thing.

  • There is no reason for small cities to turn their lights off.

Cities like Hong Kong, Shanghai, Las Vegas, Dubai, and Los angeles are the main cities that needs to turn their lights off. Also New York and Chicago. Toronto and Vancouver. Paris and London. Kuala Lumper and Singapore. Taipai, Bangkok, Tokyo, Seoul, and the rest of the other cities.

Now THOSE cities, I have seen them. And they are really hurting Earth!

  • after watching this I am totally willing to cooperate with mother nature and turn off all my lights :)... although I think that we should do that for a whole day...that would be a feat!

  • good documentary!

  • mayB u're right.actions like these should've been taken years ago..but that doesn't mean that we're gonna give it up and not do anything we have to fight the Global warming as long as we're alive to save what we can save for the 100-years-later generation!

  • I honestly think that it is impossible for humans to reverse climate change. Shit isn't being done about it and action should've been taken 10 years ago. The generation to come 100 years later if there is even an earth are seriously fkd

  • They should try that for a whole day. :)

  • super vidéo même si j'ai pas tout compris la narration ^^

  • piven+ genius

  • why couldn't houston do that?

    we're a big city!

  • Attention all you Jeremy Piven fans:

Jeremy will be at Rockit Bar & Grill in Chicago, IL this Saturday June 28 for the Annual Piven Theatre Workshop Benefit.

Come check it out and support a great cause!

  • Piven rules!

  • I live in Atlanta i remember doing this at the GM plant. At 8:00 we pulled the main breaker and shut down the plant for an hour it was pretty neat.

  • Proponents of Earth Hour would have us live in the dark permanently

  • we can do something. we can reduce our impact on earth so that we dont use all the resources up instantly. we can prolong the presence of mankind on earth by sustainably using our resources

  • cool vid pretty good

  • you dont have any

  • Ok, global warming has actually been proven a fact as I did MY research. Yes it is proven, but now sceptics are saying it is not as fast as we think it is actually going. WTF!!! Make up your minds!

  • what so the increased occurrences and severity of natural disasters and increase in temperature is fuckin rubbish? i dont think so mate. im pretty sure the world is heating up and global warming/climate change is occuring. maybe it isnt maybe im wrong, but still we need to drastically reduce our impact on the planet to consolidate the future livelihood of mankind otherwise we will use up our resources too fast and run out, e.g oil.... we need to become sustainable eventually to survive

  • Its too late for that. Do you actually think that we humans have the capacity to controll nature??? How arrogant. The earth is doing quite well; it is us, the human race, that she will do away with. There is really nothing we can do about it.

  • we do have the power to change nature. we fucked up the climate

  • There is no concrete proof for this.

  • scarry

  • I honestly do not care whether you believe in climate change or not, but, reducing our pollution and CO2 emissions can't HURT the Earth, can it? The way I see it, is that whether it is real or not, reducing pollution isn't going to kill anyone. Besides, with all of the vehicles and crap on the road, it is adding stuff to the air that we should not breathe in, especially in cities. So, my point is, turning off your lights, or anything you are not using can only make things better.

  • reducing ollution and CO2 accually hepls us. I say we do Earth hour more often...

  • wat a tard cant say Brisbane or Melbourne right haha

  • population needs to be culled.... I think we can live with out northern europe

  • how do you know, you dont know the future or past so how would know if global warming exists or not? But your last line is too true. Never the less, why are we talking about this? What about the EARTH.

  • Your an idiot mate, do some actual research. The earth does go in a lot of cycles, the problem is we are forcing CO2 into the atmosphere when it used to be a feedback mechanism. This in turn is causing an increased amount of water vapour, and a decreasing ability of the earth to absorb the carbon in the natural cycle. I really don't think there is much we can do now anyways, but it is happening champ, whether or not we can solve it is a whole nother issue.

  • We're all fucked

    We're all going to die

    There's nothing

    Nothing to prove

We've been fucked since the day we stood up on two legs and took a walk out of our caves

    We've been fucked

Stop wasting your time and money on people that use this as an industry

  • ahh i love jeremy piven

  • why cant we do this evveryday

  • estoy de aucerdo

  • estoy de acuerdo

  • estoy de acuerdo

  • Nice video ;)

  • This is all bullshit, climate change is not such a devastating phenomenon. The mass media are just emphosizing this issue to scare people.

  • i´m agree with you

  • The "60" STANDS FOR 60Minutes u dumbasses. Does it take you like forever to figure that out? dumb asses...

  • "Ahh of course, it's the "lefties" in every industrialized nation in the world who want their economies to go into recessions. Of course, why didn't I think of that?"

I take some offense to that, as I'm a definite Democrat, and I not only joined several "groups" supporting this cause, I also participated. Not all Democrats are stupid, and not all democrats think that global warming and pollution are jokes.

Just like not all Republicans, even those that think they do, do not know everything.

  • may i know what's the "60" stand for?

    thank you

  • I was wondering that too when I first saw it, but now, if I had to guess, I think it stands for the 60 minutes that are Earth Hour. I could be wrong, though...

  • You are a fucking moron..

    1 hour + 60 minutes....

  • Well, Ill be waving at ya in heaven. Sorry u dont belive.

  • sadly theres nothing we can do since 80 percent of global warming is caused by the government and by factories which we dont own, and millions of people can change, but we cant change the world in a dramatic turn like everybody says we can, we need to start making a diference one by one, but as i said, first we need to change the top rank people...

its going to be hard and sometimes waste of time for some people, but its the only way we can change this, if theres a god... put us in our place!...

  • shops and offices etc. should turn their lights off when their shut anyway! i always walk past shops at night that are shut, but still have every light on and nobody in!

  • I agree with the message of the initiative but the matter is that it's gonna go to waste if multinational companies and governments keep ignoring environment as if it's something they don't concern 'em!

  • Fuck the Fund Long Live The Federation!!!!

  • vean "la hora del planeta en mi canal" al menos creo que tiene mas onda, saludos

  • it's quite a paradox to turn off the light in such a darkened world, anyway I didn't know of this action yet spent that evening under candle light which brings enough light and a mlore appropriate one for a saturday night.

  • to see varied videos excellent happen throug my channel.greeting from Barcelona (Spain)

  • How about ceasing for one hour the false attribution of every notable weather event to "climate change". Lets call it "Logic hour"

  • ¡VIVA MURCIA!

  • Earth hour is shifting the attention to a NON-ISSUE. Global Warming is a scam to implement a global carbon tax. Biofuels drive up food prices and create food shortages. Energy efficient light bulbs are 1000 times worse for the environment with all the toxic mercury in them. We are in the coldest winter in over 70 years. Mars's ice caps are melting at the same rate as ours. The climate changes and that's natural. GMO and depleted uranium are the two biggest threats to our Earth. WAKE UP!!!

  • Good comment ceresone. You're going to have to give up using common sense, reason and clear thinking to deal with the global warming religion zealots. They're drinking the Algore kool-aid and unable to grasp those concepts.

  • fucking loser you are

  • This is the best:

    watch?v=Q0XvxBM7hJI

  • It's all those damn colors leaving all those damn lights on.

  • Its great! W

  • sick!

  • I do that every day, when I'm sleeping... lol

  • lol haha... me t0o i do that every single day...!

  • omg look at japan and usa they waste power the most!!

  • They produce the most. Using energy to produce a better society is not waste.

Japanese and American societies provide much of the world's advancements in many fields such as medicine, agriculture, communication, etc resulting in a better life for their people firstly and others in the world eventually.

  • They produce the most. Using energy to produce a better society is not waste.

Japanese and American societies provide much of the world's advancements in many fields such as medicine, agriculture, communication, etc resulting in a better life for their people firstly and others in the world eventually.

  • Good point. Using energy to drive hummers and build weapons is, however.

  • There you go again with the ignorance, I don't drive a hummer and I surely do NOT like them. Those are useless cows, and street legal unarmed tanks....

  • "There you go again with the ignorance, I don't drive a hummer and I surely do NOT like them. Those are useless cows, and street legal unarmed tanks...."

    I wasn't talking to you.

  • Perhaps you would prefer the government or Pope Algore I tell you what you must drive, assuming you'll be allowed to use motorized transport.

As far as weapons go, more money should be spent on weapons development. The secret to future peace in the world is the good guys having the technology, weaponry and strength of will to obliterate the bad guys. When our guys are safely behind keyboards melting down the terrorists, peace will be given a chance.

  • I would prefer the government regulating what cars can be driven. And it's going to happen, obviously. There are strict vehicle regulations all across Europe which are only going to get stricter. You're an idiot if you don't think the same will happen in North America.

As for your second paragraph, I generally don't respond to pure ignorance and hate. Also, perhaps you should look at where the weapons America develops are going before you assume they'll only be used by "good guys".

  • I'm not really surprised that you would prefer that government regulate and control everything. You're a big government liberal so I knew your answer when I asked the question.

As far as my 'ignorance and hate' goes, you lefties may want to sit around the campfire, hold hands and sing kum-ba-ya with these assholes - but you need to realize they aren't into that. By the way, they also want to kill you.

  • Ahh, as I expected.. reading isn't your forte. I never said I want government to control everything, I said I don't mind if they regulate vehicle emissions. Can you spot the difference?

  • It's also hilarious that you're against the government having the power to regulate vehicles consumption of fuel, but you're all for the government having the power to "melt" anyone in the world while sitting behind a desk. Mental?

  • I don't have a problem with the vaporization of terrorists. You may be concerned with the health and welfare of these shit stains on the landscape of humanity- I'm not.

  • Again, inability to read seems to be your problem here... Maybe I should be sending you these posts with pictures attached, but it seems like an awful lot of work to convince some inbred hick that indeed global warming is a bad thing.

My post stated that you had a problem with government having the power to regulate vehicle emissions, but you were all for government having the power to "melt" terrorists wherever they are, from behind a desk. Can you see the point? cont..

  • My ability to read English is just fine, thank you. I don't need an English degree to recognize a pompous liberal asshole when I see one. Thirty years ago global cooling was going to kill us all. Now it's global warming-because the weather has trended that way recently. Mars has also warmed in recent years as well. Why this doesn't ring a bell with pseudo-intellectual, snot-nosed punks is something I can't explain.

  • Is it actually possible that changes in the sun - primary source of light and energy on earth - are the cause of the recent trend? Why would you think the weather should never change? There have been extremes in the earth's weather over its existence. Reliable weather data collection is a recent development. This amount of time is but a tiny sliver of time on the earth's clock.

The way the so-called scientific 'consensus' was arrived at is highly suspect as well. 'Consensus' isn't science.

  • You're absolutely right, fluctuations in the sun could prompt weather changes on earth. You know what else could? Drastic increases in the atmosphere of CO2. Global warming is obviously caused by some of both these factors, along with other meteorological phenomena. Unfortunately, the only factor we can affect is that of our CO2 emissions, hence the need to reduce emissions. Understand? Nobody said consensus is science, but just because a consensus exists doesn't mean it isn't sound science. ass

  • The eruption and resultant ash of Mt. St Helens in Washington in 1980 had more effect on temperatures for a number of years in the western half of North America than any current allegations of the global warming hoax. Humans have very little control over the weather. Get used to it.

  • Lol, no it didn't. Anyone can say random shit, but it takes a real mongoloid to think it's fact - fact.

Got any other world changing theories? Perhaps you also think the moon landing was faked, the world was created 4000 years ago, and rain is really God crying.

  • Why don't you tell me about the 9/11 conspiracy? You seem like the type.

  • lol, all about the generalizations with you. Shows the true nature of your "intelligence" :p.

  • Explain to me how an exponential increase in CO2 wouldn't contribute to global warming. That's all you have to do. Prove all these climate change scientists wrong without having a clue what you're talking about. That's all you have to do! Good luck!

Obviously planets warm and cool by themselves, that's not the point. The point is pumping tons of CO2 into the atmosphere increases increases the output of the greenhouse effect, increasing trends to a rate they naturally wouldn't occur at. Get it?

  • Clowns like you have been predicting 'The world will end tomorrow' since the world began. Now you're backing it up with politically motivated junk science. Keep drinking the global warming kool-aid and worshipping Pope Algore I.

  • lol, you're absolutely right. I mean, I'm not a politician. I'm not a fan of Al Gore. I'm a science student who has studied the theories behind global warming, and it's hilarious to me that you would call the consensus of field-leading scientists "junk science". You obviously have no clue what you're talking about, and have offered no alternative to the effects of increased CO2, other than it's "junk science". Get a clue mate, you sound like a fucking idiot. :p

  • I wish I had a buck for every self-proclaimed expert I encounter on youtube. Surprise! Surprise - you're a 'science' student. Smoking weed with a bong may seem like mind-blowing research but it's really not. Get a job and join the real world.

Once again, consensus is not science. The whole global warming scam was politically motivated from the start. Naturally the scientists will give the politicians what they want to hear. It tends to keep the research grants coming in.

  • Lol, who's the conspiracy nut now. Again, until you've actually studied the science, your opinion on the validity of it means absolutely nothing.

And once again, I never said consensus is science. What I said was it's hilarious that you, who has yet to offer any explanation why the greenhouse gas effect model is flawed, would claim that all these field-leading scientists who offer evidence for why it isn't, are wrong. Get it?

  • There are scientists who don't buy into the global warming bs. They are treated like pariahs.

It's much easier to just go along with the crowd, like lemmings. It's safe. Being in the majority is always the safest and easiest - not always right, but safe.

  • Wow, such deep philosophical insight... twat. Nobody said being in the majority means your right. But thanks anyways! How about instead of stating these irrelevant parable, you have a go at proving the leading theory wrong.

I've sent you the list of scientists who have gone on record in saying they don't believe human action is responsible for global warming. It's 22 names. None of them study climate change primarily. Next?

  • And if the overwhelming majority of scientists who claim global warming is fueled by CO2 output are really just pawns of politicians, why is it that your president has been so keen to not admit global warming is happening? Why is it that he's been paying scientists to find flaws in the theory of global warming, all of which have been shown to be junk science?

Western nations have everything to lose by regulating emissions, so you're a complete moron for thinking they started the "hoax".

    punk :p

  • It is the politicians of the lefty persuasion who have pushed this agenda, not people like Bush. Liberals are fundamentally internationalists and socialists so they are more concerned with the UN and bashing the US than even their own nations. The American left is just walking lock-step with the idiots at the UN and elsewhere.

  • Ahh of course, it's the "lefties" in every industrialized nation in the world who want their economies to go into recessions. Of course, why didn't I think of that?

I mean, you're talking absolute nonsense. Next time, read what you type for you press send, you might save yourself the embarrassment of looking like a complete moron, though I'm sure by now it's a reoccurring theme in your life.

    :P:P:P moron.

  • Your retardedness seems boundless. Go back to your bong and your useless existence as an endless drain on society. After you leave your school you should be well qualified to make french fries. Later comrade.

  • lol, I love when these morons are backed into a corner with their nonsense and then respond with weak insults and blocking me.

  • Ladies and gentlemen, this concludes tonight's episode of 'Spin the lib-tard'. Thanks to clashemma for providing his special and unique brand of stupidity. This is your host HelmutHedd signing off for now.

  • That if gov't has the power to melt terrorists anywhere in the world, they also have the ability to "melt" anyone, anywhere in the world. Do you think this might be a bit more power than regulating vehicle emissions? Just a bit? I mean, that kind of ability would be complete world domination, while I'm suggesting the regulation of emissions. Do you see the humour in your illogic? Use your words now....

  • Here's a newsflash for you: The USA and Russia have had this power for years. Both countries could destroy each other repeatedly.

Improvements in military technology are necessary to defend the country. As much as you lefties protest, that is actually something the government is supposed to do. Defending the country is more important than liberal crap like socialist medicine and housing, free needles for junkies, welfare and ________(insert other stupid liberal bullshit here).
