I do agree with what you were trying to say in this video. That so much hurt and rudeness (if that was even spelled right) from others can actually drive someone so far and to the point of just going darker and darker, and that the more people pick on them and more they try to tell them that they need to change and all that, with some people will actually drive then deeper and farther into it. That people don't relize that they'er really not helping at all in some cases

Party city is also not a goth store but they have gothic things during Halloween that are really good goth accessories all year round. Also if you didn't know there is a section on the hottopic site called old school hottopic where u won't see all the wayne and justin bieber stuff.

I've always been a goth at heart. Yeah I was bullied but life is life. I would say I was a goth at heart but I tend to wear whatever. I wear leather jackets and stuff like that and I used to wear those cool bracelets. Now my style is kind of a hint of goth if you know what I mean. Goths tend to be sensitive, decent sorts and are usual really creative. I think goths are so attractive and I fit in most with them. They are 'my people' I suppose.
You aren't ugly or fat, but I can see what your point is. I definitely wasn't a goth from the very beginning of my life and only realized I was one with 16. I also think that people who influenced my life in a bad and harmful way have also contributed to be becoming a goth. In elementary and middle school I always had to fight off these guys who wanted to ruin my life by bullying me. I definitely think that that was part of the reason why I turned goth.

@victoriaisntsosecret well there are many categories of goth there is the Cyber Goth ,Nerd Goth,Gothic Lolita, Gothic Visual kei, Victorian Goth, Romantic Goth,Old school Goth, Vamp Goth, Zombie Goth, Punk goth.. etc. Tere are over 150 types and each have their own style. I do go in Romantic pile but i love to stretch my horizons to the other styles as well. I will message you a link to see what i mean.
You have to express yourself with w.e way you were comfortable. I can relate fully to this vid because ever since I started revealing myself (some people call it a 'style change') people HATE it.. and they way you've explained it, the you then and the you now' is the same EXACT thing I have been telling people and they just don't get it.
And as far as black and Goth, you can use black as a like a base and you can add on other colors if you like.

I saw that video about the Goth boy and his asshole dad two times already and it still aggravates me because he is an arrogant asshole who is very ignorant. About the whole Goth thing, i started to get into the subculture at the age of 14. I was usually picked on as well when i was a little kid but of course it got worse when i turned 12 & 13 So i later found comfort in this subculture and found the people associated with it to be more accepting and not assholes!

this change in me didn't start until i felt i couldn't take it anymore. My work, my life, everything. I got very depressed, and that was when i started to find the darker things in life blissful. I don't know how to explain it, but goth to me is not something you wear, it's a state of how someone thinks, and feels, about themselves and the world. Wearing all black because it makes me feel safe. My family thought it was kind of strange, but no one ever really judged me. I am an artist in real life, and make goth clothing and sell them online. The only people that judge me are the ones on the internet. There seems to be a lot of really ignorant people on here.
