Nice guitar! I would like to buy a National Triolian steel body but this one is also very interesting. Not sure which one to buy. Maybe you can give some advise?
@NiekkieNick Thanks very much. Actually, I was on my way to buy a National Vintage Steel, which was sold before I got there. So, I "settled" for this one. Boy, I'm glad I did! It has the punch of a resophonic guitar with the sweetness of a mahogany wood guitar. I find that it's very versatile and works in many styles, not just country blues. Good luck!
Brilliant!!!!! Ive just bought a Regal and cant believe it its a dream!! Do you happen to know this song in open D tuning?? Thanks and congratulations!!!
@gaturro86 Thanks for the kind words. I've never tried in open D. I'd probably play bottleneck on it, which sounds great on this guitar. Enjoy your Regal!
Yes, absolutely. It's such a versatile guitar. I just took it to an old-timey, bluegrass jam the other night and it sat in the mix very nicely. Not to brash, but still cuts through an acoustic mix. National just put out the M1 Tri-cone which is absolutely stunning. I'd check that one out as well.
Lovely relaxed playing, listened twice, thanks!!

Take care and keep on picking

Did you wind up buying it? I really like mine. It's great for slide, but just as easily can be used for old-timey country a la Jimmie Rodgers.
