Wow, I can't believe I just found this channel. Excellent video, you bring up both answers I have been looking for, as well as knowledge I never considered. God bless.
I'm not a Christian myself, but I must say I do enjoy your videos very much! Religion is one of my favorite subjects and I like listening to people actually use logic to explain their beliefs rather then force them upon others with violence. Maybe some time I will make a video about my beliefs.
342 people don't understand: logic, philosophy, science, reason, time, theology, omnipotence, omnipresence, omniscience, nature, thermodynamics, sin, morality, justification, sanctification, necessity, humanity, psychology, genetics, life, death, purpose, God's law, hell, relationship, the Bible, freewill, Satan, or redemption... and the saddest thing is that it seems the don't want to know.
@papasmurfXXX Yep, his parents are Jewish. He went to Hebrew school as a kid. Then he was an atheist evolutionist, then found Jesus through watching Kent Hovind. He's mentioned it all in previous videos. Don't know if he was strict orthodox or more liberal but if his mother was Jewish, strictly speaking he still is.
As long as they don't have Jesus on them, then it's fine. Catholic Christians have Jesus on their crosses, but the Bible says not to worship any idol or statue -- no creation, just the Creator. Therefore, you shouldn't wear any idol/statue of Jesus. Besides, He's risen, anyways, and to depict Him STILL on the cross is to dismiss that, in a way.
very good video im a scientist and an agnostic and i liked it your level of conviction is inspiring and compelling my views may very from yours a little but you did an exelent job of expressing them and i enjoyed your vid alot thank you
@sam122403 You're a scientist, yet you don't even know that being agnostic has nothing to do with believing in God or not believing in God? And I see you're using some very scientific grammar.
@TicklesMcLolz i do not recall saying being agnostic has anything to do with believing or not believing in god just that i am the fact still remains that even though i have a differing option of god than Shawn he still did a good job of expressing his point and i thank him for the time he took to do it also thank you for the complement on my scientific grammar
Your videos are amazing and you're super intelligent. This sums up a lot of questions and mysteries of God many may ask. it's awesome!
But I have a question myself- Are Christian rock and screamo bands justified in worshiping? Personally I love the music genre of "heavier" Christian music but some of my fellow Christian friends believe its satanic. What's your input on Christian screamo/rock music?
28:32 I can relate. I was moving toward being suicidal till I returned to Christ. The futility of life is overwhelming as an atheist. Sure, you live in the moment and might enjoy it, maybe distract yourself with different pursuits, but in the end, it's ultimately pointless.
Hey man, really like the Q and A's. I don't even mind that it was almost an hour and a half long; I watched it in parts. You've answered so many questions that many of us simply didn't know how to answer. For this I thank you, I sincerely learned a lot. Keep it up.
Woow thanks! My Dad teaches Physics in a High School, Im the only Christian and ex-"atheist" in my family. I hope this video may help but at the end I kno.w is GOD who will have to change his heart.
Just kidding man it took me over 3 years to get 10 thousand views that you got in a matter of days! I check your channel out every day bro, love all your videos. I have to tell you, you are the only person who can actually explain everything about God so anybody gets it. I really hope you continue this for a long time and even grow. God Bless and have a great Easter!
I can't believe you got 10 thousand views, I got 41thousand views on my video, but yours is so much better I really believe it deserves at least 100k by now. Awesome video thanks for answering all the tough questions, your biggest fan. GOD BLESS!
To expand on the god knows the future/free will point, you need to look back further. Before god created life he knew every outcome and every action his life would take. He also knew that by one action he could create the universe with any number of combinations to bring about any conditions. Of all those he chose the one that led to every thought you have ever had and he knew before he chose. At that point, god chose your actions among many other options he could have picked. God chose.
@redcommander27 ...uh..did you mean your comment for VenomFangX? I didn't say those things so I'm assuminig so...but for giggles..he fullfilled them all and didn't contradict a thing except maybe human tradition. Crucified, Buried, and Raised the Third Day...fullfilled.
Wherever or not the universe had a start or not with or without the big bang, Evolution is a fact based on how species survive over longer periods of time on planets.
There is nothing that says the Big Bang is a necessity for Evolution or the other way around. It's two completely different scientific theories which has very little to do with each other.
@ixthustruth Correct, the 1st law should state "matter and energy can not create matter and energy", which is true, and not "matter and energy can not be created or destroyed" which is speculative, since the 2nd description is a metaphysical statement that can not be proven. The fact that matter and energy can not create matter and energy tells us that it needed to be created by something that transcends matter and energy.
@SimonSays288 The is more evidence of God, then there is of evolution. You know me buddy, show me scripture! I will glady show you how you use scripture out of context. No my friend the Commandment said "thall shall not murder". God's peoples dis-obeyed him, and continued to worship thier idols. Sin = Death.
@0Godspeed0 Numbers 31: 14-19, Numbers 15: 32-36, Deuteronomy 21: 10-15, Deuteronomy 22: 13-30, Deuteronomy 25: 11-12, Joshua 6: 21-22, II Samuel 12: 11-12, II Samuel 12: 15-19. Show me five valid examples of why evolution's false and five valid proofs for God's existence. So murder's murder but not when I say it's ok, the point of making the commandment seems useless then. The first three commandments were used by God for his own, that really shows that he's God, and he's insecure.
@SimonSays288 Numbers 31: 14-18 If you were to actually read the book of Numbers, and not even that, but the passage you gave you should understand it. The Midianites were trying to overcome Israel, and one of their tactics was to send married women and aggressively offer sex to the Israelite men (married), and then convinced them to do further acts (more sex and dis-loyalty to God). So you can see why Moses was upset when they brought those very women who were used to destroy
@SimonSays288 the Israelites, BACK into their camp. The young girls (virgins) were spared, and sent to families, so they were sheltered, cared, and feed. The reason why they weren’t killed was because they weren’t involved in those evil sex practices.
Numbers 15: 32-36 Another example of you using verses out on context. The Sabbath was very important. It was God’s sign of his covenant, when he delivered them from Egypt. The day was to rejoice in God and fellowship with God.
@SimonSays288 But by gathering wood, it shows he doesn’t care of the salvation God has given him. The man also showed that the law of God did not matter to him. He knew God’s law, but did not care about it. He knew the judgment which God pronounced on those who violated it, but was ready to put God to the test.
Deuteronomy 21: 10-15 If you take a captive women you must take her to her home, and change garments. Mainly because they were to attract and seduce men.
@SimonSays288 KKKThen you let her mourn her pagan gods, because another religion is not allowed., and She isn’t forced to believe in her captives God. After that she can choose to marry the man, or if she doesn’t want to, or the Man doesn’t want her, she is to be freed.
Deuteronomy 22: 13-30 Verses 13 – 21 really show how you don’t understand the cultural of that time. Virginity was very important, and expected to be kept til marriage.
@SimonSays288 So if a Husband was to make a false claim, he was charged pretty hefty, and had to live with his wife for the rest his wife. EX. She cooked his meals for one. =p losing one’s virginity before marriage was very wrong in that time, and looked as very evil, and couldn’t be tolerated. Sex before marriage led to the evils of lust, and adultery.
Deuteronomy 25: 11-12 The woman is severely dealt with because of the great importance of the perpetuation of the family.
@SimonSays288 A man who cannot beget children, and marry his brother's widow to keep his brother's name alive, nor can he beget offspring to perpetuate his own family.
Joshua 6: 21-22 Once again out of context. The people of Canaan were wicked. They were burning their own sons and daughters as sacrifices to their gods.
II Samuel 12: 15-19 It was David’s punishment for murder, and committing adultery.
@SimonSays288 I would love to explain the evidence to you, but It can’t been done here. I don’t want to fill 10 comment pages. Private message me if you want evidence. No my friend murder is not just murder. God is Just. Sin equals death. Shall I explain further? Lol. no that doesn’t make him insecure. They just state that God loves us, and wants us to love him.
@SimonSays288 Well you did. You took verses out of context, and claimed them to be something thier now. I replied using verses in the same chapter that change the total meaning of the verse you stated. So yes you took them out of context. Shall we review them? Please stop just throwing out objections, and stay on topic. To begin the Bible says the earth is sphere shaped, suspened in space. Isaiah 40:22 Job 26:10, and Job 26:7. Evolution is just another theory with feeble amount of evidence.
@JonathanSerious oh, wow, just wait a second. I didn't insult any christian. I just answered to the ones comment with its missionary content. Calling other people to be hateful is rather an insult.
And you are a christian? I wouldn't ever think that, with that great skull on your channel and its black background. Or is it meanwhile christiain to be a fan of death and darkness?
@SimonSays288 again I do not focus on the just the a partial part of scripture due to life lessons i've learned thru experience. If I said anything that made it sound like that then I apologize since that was not my intent. This conversation was all about gays and their rights and is now switching to how evil you view the bible to be. I agree with godspeed when he says to read the whole bible to get a clear understanding of what you are reading/ interpreting before doing so.
@Lburna84able Do I have to read those boring parts where they say the son of someone and his son named something and his son named something that married someone named something and then that goes on forever. When it comes down to it, doesn’t the Bible just contain philosophy and political ideologies packed and readymade for you? Because nobody can live without a philosophy and it's sometimes hard to work out something yourself, but hey, he Bible's there, now you don't need to think.
@SimonSays288 What I mean is to actually read the whole chapter, or passage to fully understand what is being said. Because you on numerous occasions have just picked verses out on context, when the answers where in the same chapter. Hope that clears it up. You also do not understand what the Bible is inteaded for. Its basically the standered on how to live our lifes, and how to have a relationship of Jesus Christ. No the Bible isnt just a philosophy handout, because
@SimonSays288 of all the different interpetions. You think it would be a lot more simpler. Kinda funny, you actually I have to think for yourself, and interpet the Bible.
@sthnwatch When I wrote that I did notice something. It seems YouTube withholds information on me, I thought you wanted me to read between lines to see some deeper meaning, now I found what you were referring to. When ancient Egyptians explained the "person" they said the soul resides in the heart, a valid assumption considering that when you're emotionally hurt your heart hurts as well. Taking science and add some deeper meaning to it seems redundant to me. A sunset is beautiful on its own...
@SimonSays288 Yes, it's valid alright. Our MIND, our BODY, & our SPIRIT are all connected. They're complimentary & because they fit together so well, it can be hard to differentiate each one. The lines are blurred! That being said, with real focus & diligent study, there's plenty of knowledge on the subject to get a grasp of it, if we want to. I obviously have. As have you.
But.. You're right, do we really need to analyze life so much? Let's just live it!
@sthnwatch When I wrote the last reply I didn't notice your explanation, I thought you asked me to read between the lines or something, I apologize. But still, you are taking science and add some deeper meaning to it. When the ancient Egyptians tried to explain the soul they said the soul resides in the heart, a valid assumptions considering that when you're emotionally hurt your heart hurts as well. But now we know, do we really need spirituality? A sunset is beautiful on its own...
Shawn, I agree with everything you say but one: I believe Adam knew of the concept of right and wrong before he sinned. From the moment one has been warned of the bad(!) consequences of an action, one knows that to disobey has these consequences. Iow, the warning gives the concept. Action-reaction. To choose to do something while knowing the consequences is sin. To be concience is to have a concience. While Adam didn't see sin around him, he knew that to disobey God would be a bad thing to do.
@TheAbyrwalg Again you apparently have an issue with your ears, because he said that people murder as a result of free will; basically, Elohim will not force you not to sin, as it would defy free will.
@TheAbyrwalg Apparently you have a problem with your ears. He said that because of the inherited sinful nature of humanity because of Adam and Eve eating the apple, illnesses were able to occur. He didn't say that those who had diseases have diseases because they deserved it, he's saying that with the knowledge of good and evil came the consequences of disobeying Elohim.
@SimonSays288 Now this is getting out of hand. I have answered all your questions peacefully, and now your attacking me saying im forcing my "toys" on you. Im just defending what I believe, after you questioned it. It really irritates me when people say Im forcing my beliefs on to others, but its fine, when you can bash and question my faith. And yes its a choice. Either give up the sins of this world, and live. Or Live in your sin, and die. If you say no to God, then you choose hell. Watch Vid,
That's very true, but people are pleasure-seeking and pain-avoiding beings (which is more than natural), so temptation to let those (heaven and hell) affect to our actions - even in subconscious level - is very strong, because of duration and strength of those in religions. True desire to help others doesn't rise from those motives.
If God exists outside of time, would you say that a born again Christian in 2011 is already with God in the new heaven and new earth to God not us since we are still within time, and do you think they have the knowledge that God can still see them in years past or now that all things are created new then that time has all passed away even from God?Something I can't quite wrap my mind around. The only thing I can think of is that when all things are created new it does not include time?
@SimonSays288 I know im not involved in this conversion, but I just had to point this out. This is yet, another example of nit-picking, and taking stuff out of context. If you read the ENTIRE chapter (which is 9 verses) you wil see this is a unknown author, crying out to God in angry about the edomites, and babylon actions againist Jerusalem. This verse says nothing about God Killing children, or ordering to kill children. The Bible is not evil my friend, you just need to actually read it.
@0Godspeed0 Then why is such an evil thing as smashing children at rocks in the Bible then, would God intervene if they actually were to smash children at rocks?
@SimonSays288 Free Will means we choose what we want to do. Should God intervene everytime you go and drink or smoke? (not assuming you do, just a example) and stop you, because its bad? Yes I know that its grapic for children to die like that, but thats how far man has fallen.
@0Godspeed0 I mean is it moral to, when destroying your enemies you adopt their brutality and violence to do so, using evil to defeat evil. Taking pleasure in the notion that when their time's up we can wreak havoc, rape and slaughter them just like they did to us. These are the good guys talking in the Bible. And in the end shouldn't they thank the Babylonians, without them they would not have the Noah's story ark or the Tower of Babel.
The Exorcism of Emily Rose aka Anneliese Michel. I listen to the exorcism tapes(which are here on YouTube in english subtitle) and did other research on it. And that's what led me to be a born again Christan.
Sean, It is such a pleasure to see you back online. You have wonderful insights on the questions that have plaqued mankind for thousands of years. The Christian community is very thankful for you willingness to take much hate from the atheists. They are really sad, and need our prayers.
Tribes in africa and south america have never had any outside influence and so have never even had the chance to be converted so it'd be unfair to just send them to hell. You can then argue that if they lead a good life then they will go to heaven and if they live a sinful life then go to hell. If this is true then why don't we just not tell anyone about religion, that way people are judged for the way that they lived their lives because that is their true behavior, and not out of fear.
In the 24th minute there is a revelation! Any ATHEIST with any question like "Does God exist?" should go to the 24th minute. It changed my perspective. Very clear. CRYSTAL CLEAR!!
Hi Sean, I have been watching you for over 3 years now. I have grown in my walk with GOD and can see that you have too. You have really have done a wonderful job in this video. Praise and Glory be to the Lord Jesus Christ! I want to give you a question to which I already know the answer but want you to explain your answer using your vastly blessed intellect. Why did GOD even put the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil in the garden of Eden to even tempt Adam and Eve?
@Thekitkatmaster Go look in the mirror. The evidence is right in front of you. You are a god yourself. We all are. We're beautiful, creative, just & merciful spirits. The God you're asking about is the Grandaddy of us all! Try to understand that the evil force that was always envious of our relationship to our daddy has interfered as much as possible to pervert our contact with the Almighty God. Please try to understand this and you'll have a better understanding on why you struggle to believe.
@Thekitkatmaster Did you get to the 24th minute? There's a pretty good couple minutes of revealing knowledge at about that mark that might help your search.
Why do people dislike this video? He's merely answering your question, and doing a damn good job at it. Tired of people who dislike just becuase they disagree with the world view and not because they have any legimit reason to do so He's just explaining the bible view. One logical reason to dislike this video?
@Stianchez Well I am mean he has 400 likes to 180 dislikes. I mean how often do you even see something like that on a christian forum. And omg g = gosh, athiests are complimenting him. Are we all dead or something. What is going on here. Am i hallucinating am I?
I'm Agnostic. I've read the likes of Dawkins, Hitchens, Dennett. However, after watching this video (which surprisingly covered almost all the questions I had about the Christian God), I find myself not only seriously impressed by how far Sean has come, but somewhat surprised at how he's made me reconsider my position as to God's existence.
Also, I don't think anyone can doubt Sean's intellect after watching this.
@BarryGormley2010 If you were truly a Christian in the past you wouldn't ask "is there a god" or say "prove its the Christian god" because you'd know that there is a god and he's the only way. My guess is that for whatever reason you only treated Christianity like a rulebook and didn't really believe. And man do you even know what "good conscience" is? God who is holy has to punish sin, and hell is the punishment. Oh in case you didn't know he offers eternal life too. -_____-
@lancecryor You didn't answer his question. His question as a ex Christian was totally valid, his points is what you really need to consider; "is there a god" and "prove its the Christian god", the only thing you got is a book. You're saying that he should know that God exists because he was a Christian, it's totally irrelevant if he was a strong believer or not. Saying "well you were never a true believer" is the same as saying "you never ate the right food, that's why you're no longer obese."
@Dagaman64 God wants us to love the sinner and hate the sin. Meaning that these people should have all the same rights as any other individual, however the sin of being gay should not be tolerated. For example, if a couple (male and female) work in the same office it's not ok for them to flaunt their relationship around the workplace and doing so could get one or both of them fired, the same thing should apply to gay relationships in the workplace. Hope that helps
@Lburna84able So you're saying that we should hate the rape but love the rapist? Hate the murder but love the murderer? Love Osama? I wonder, why of all the horrible crimes a human can commit homosexuality is considered the worst, even though it's perfectly natural and it's NOT a choice. It has even been observed in animals. "The sin of being gay should not be tolerated", then let god sort them out, better, let us sort them out, this intolerance has claimed lives and still do in this modern age.
@SimonSays288 Thanks for clarifying that lol, yes that's exactly what I'm saying. No one said following God's will was easy but that's what he ask of us, also I'm not God so I'm already aware there will be instances where i will fall short by not being able to hate just the sin. Just answering his question it's not geared just toward gays it does apply to all sin
@Lburna84able yeah, but, generally all religious people has something against gays. Why is the issue of what two people, hetero or gay alike, do in their beds? If I understood you right you mean all the sinners have the same rights but not gays. And if I understood the Bible right, God's will is the following; commit genocide on other religions, slavery is ok and killing children is a valid way to show that you mean business etc. Leviticus is basically the 100 reasons you suck and should die.
@SimonSays288 Then clearly you DON'T understand God's will right. All unrighteousness is sin so that means fornication too.. gay or straight. Oh and the new testament is waiting for you lol
@lancecryor I know that there's the new testament, I'm just so astounded by the fact that God seem really schizophrenic considering the huge personality change from OT to NT. It doesn’t matter to me that there's the nt, the fact is that God DEMANDED all the things I listed. Still, the nt is sexist, thinks slavery is ok and when you consider Jesus as a teacher he said many contradictions, he didn't speak clearly etc. So it's a sin to continue the survival of the species? It's unrighteous?
@SimonSays288 Its seems you dont understand the OT very well, nor the NT. God enforced those laws to show one thing. To show what it takes to be righteous with God. If you read on you can see Gods people failed. So this is just more understanding why Jesus was needed. Please show me scripture where sexism is presented, and slavery in the Bible was not like slaverly we faced. And please share these contradictions. For I see none. Be sure to actually read the Bible instead of googling arguements.
@0Godspeed0 E.g. 1 Timothy 2:12 1 Corinthians 14: 34-36. Those laws they say he enforced gave the Hebrews an excuse to go on a murderous rampage killing and raping their way to the holy land. Moses gave a detailed account for what to do with prisoners of war; kill the men rape the women. Many of God's chosen would have been given life sentence today. Slavery is slavery, there's no difference, u could beat the slave mercilessly, u owned his children, his wife and u could beat them to.
@SimonSays288 1 Timothy is very difficult for me to explain so I ask you check out this website. Once again your nit-picking verses without understanding them. 1 Corinthians 14: 34-36 is talking about disruptive women who would shout out over to their husband and cause a lot of drama. You must understand God loves both man and women and created them in his own image. Check out Ephesians 5: 22-33, Colossians 3: 18-25, I Peter 3: 1-6. Cont....
@SimonSays288 I think I know were yout going with this, lol. Can you please provide scripture? I think I know what your going to put down, but please, it would be helpful. No my friend slavery in the OT was not like those 200 years ago. Instead of being sold into slavery like a bunch of animals, people then sold THMSELFS into slavery, if they couldnt make a living for themselfs. This way they do not die of starvation or expousure. They receive food and housing in exchange for labor. Cont...
@0Godspeed0 People that were prisoners of war were also sold into slavery, do you think they wanted that? In the Bible it's said that you can beat the slave mercilessly, if the slave dies the master's to be punished, if the slave survives it's ok. According to the Bible a slave needs to serve for 7 yrs, but his master can get around this by giving him a wife, when the slave gets to leave he can hold his family hostage, the slave has no choice but to return and the master owns him permanently.
@SimonSays288 Once again, do you just google certain scripture? To start off, if you actually read a ahead to Exodus 21:27, you see that, if a owner were to abuse, and harmed a slave, the slave shall be set free. No the master does not hold the family hostage. Because the master can not just give him a wife. The Slave can accept or choose not to accept the wife. So If the slave really likes is master he could stay. If not go. The slave wasnt bribed. You should check verse 3 of that passage to...
@0Godspeed0 The doesn't the whole thing get contradictory real fast? The Bible sais that if the slave loses an eye he'll be set free, that's nice. But the thing I react to is that the Bible's ok with beating a slave to death as long as the slave doesn't die immediately. The Bible doesn't say if slavery is moral or immoral it only sais that slaves were treated better, so believing that slavery's ok in the Bible needs you to believe that owning people as property is moral.
@SimonSays288 There is no if, ands, or buts, If A master killed his slave, immediately, or not the master will be punished. If The master harms the slave, the slave shall be freed. Yes the Bible, doesnt condem, slavery, because one it exsisted before the jews became a nation, and continued aftered, It Played a minor economic role in that time period. Slavery was also used as punsihment for crimes, as there wasnt jails in that time period. Slavery is not of God, but mans will. But Slavery
@SimonSays288 by the Israelites was much, much better then any kind of slavery of other nations. As slaves for the Israelites had many laws for protection, and rights.
@0Godspeed0 But if it's not moral to own a slave then why didn't God condemn it or create some substitute for it? Did he just say, "Hey that works just fine, owning people, there's nothing wrong with that I do it all the time"
@SimonSays288 Because slavery was already being practiced, and played economic roles in those days, before God gave the law. Slavery was also used for criminals, because they didnt have jails, or prisons. Just flat out condeming it will do more harm then good. So God did the right thing with the laws givin to slaves which were fair. You have to agree to do that. And what possible substitute is there for slavery?
@0Godspeed0 Today the same economical problems still exist just on a larger scale, you don't see people enslaved in civilized countries today do you. I do not know a substitute, but considering there are no people enslaving themselves or being enslaved form money anymore must mean something have been found. And for God there should be no problem finding a substitute, he's God after all.
@SimonSays288 Nowhere did I mention that there was problems. I just noted thats how thier economical system was balanced. The substitute was giving slaves rights that protected them. No other country gave slaves such laws, and Rights.
@0Godspeed0 The government won't tolerate enslavement, if you commit a small crime e.g. smashing windows you may do community service. If you're in debt you need to work it of by the procedure given by the government and not by the person you're in debt to. A prisoner of war won't be enslaved, a criminal won't be enslaved, a foreigner won't be enslaved. Slavery in any form was condemned long ago. Slavery was the easiest moral question mankind has faced, God got that one wrong.
@SimonSays288 Yes, but you must understand that the didnt have any prisons at all. So what do they do with POW, and Criminals? Allow a POW that hate your guts just run free, and criminals in unjust. They Government at no answer for those who was in debt, or couldnt make a living for themselfs. Slavery by the israelites, was strongly protected by God. You dont really understand the nature of God Either. Slavery isnt of God. Its the result of sin. Free Will, the people choose to enslave and...
@SimonSays288 torture people. Slaverly was cruel, but thats the choice they made. And by the scripture I have givin, you see God did intervene and gave rights to slaves. They were givin food, had shelterworked for money, couldnt be hurt, released after 7 years. The other option for some people where to die on the streets and suffer. Like I said the government had no answer for poverty. So slavery by the israelites is wrong, but people dieing on streets is alright.
@SimonSays288 Now this is getting out of hand. I have answered all your questions peacefully, and now your attacking me saying im forcing my "toys" on you. Im just defending what I believe, after you questioned it. It reallu irritates me when people say Im forcing my beliefs on to others, but its fine, when you can bash and question my faith. And yes its a choice. Either give up the sins of this world, and live. Or Live in your sin, and die. If you say no to God, then you choose hell. Watch Vid,
@0Godspeed0 First thing first, I was speaking about Christianity in general, not about you, sorry. Ok, let's do it like this, I tell you that you can have any kind of drapes in your room, with ay colour you like. You want orange, well I want blue. But it's your choice, you can have orange if you want, but I will hurt you badly and then I will put up the blue drapes. Did I give you a choice there?
@SimonSays288 I apoligize for what I said then. I thought you were just starting to flame. No thats free choice, and nots whats supported in the BIble. Lets me use venom's examples. You speed down the highway, bu get arrested for speeding. You choice to speed, no one forced you. Or you steal, and get thrown in jail. You decided to steal, no one forced you, so you have to suffer the consquences. You are choosing sin over God. You are a athiest so your rejecting God. You chooced to do that, so
@SimonSays288 you choose Hell. God doesnt send people to hell. People choose to go to hell. So you have a choice. Accept Jeses Christ into your life, and be saved. Or continue to life the way you want to, and die. I know I soubnd preachy, not intended to, but I hope you understand this.
@0Godspeed0 I don't accept Jesus Christ into my face. I don't choose to go to hell. Jesus Christ was nobody more than a mocker. Accepting such a guy as saviour is ridiculous.
i love it! u r amazing keep this up

is it ok to wear crosses?
eblack333 9 months ago
@eblack333

God chose.

@MrUnorthobox
Actually, it's very possible.
Wherever or not the universe had a start or not with or without the big bang, Evolution is a fact based on how species survive over longer periods of time on planets.
There is nothing that says the Big Bang is a necessity for Evolution or the other way around. It's two completely different scientific theories which has very little to do with each other.
Read a bit more up on it.

Creation cannot destroy or create energy. A vase cannot make itself or destroy itself.
ixthustruth 10 months ago

0Godspeed0 10 months ago
SimonSays288 10 months ago
@SimonSays288 Numbers 31: 14-18 If you were to actually read the book of Numbers, and not even that, but the passage you gave you should understand it. The Midianites were trying to overcome Israel, and one of their tactics was to send married women and aggressively offer sex to the Israelite men (married), and then convinced them to do further acts (more sex and dis-loyalty to God). So you can see why Moses was upset when they brought those very women who were used to destroy
0Godspeed0 10 months ago
@SimonSays288 the Israelites, BACK into their camp. The young girls (virgins) were spared, and sent to families, so they were sheltered, cared, and feed. The reason why they weren’t killed was because they weren’t involved in those evil sex practices.
Numbers 15: 32-36 Another example of you using verses out on context. The Sabbath was very important. It was God’s sign of his covenant, when he delivered them from Egypt. The day was to rejoice in God and fellowship with God.
0Godspeed0 10 months ago
@SimonSays288 But by gathering wood, it shows he doesn’t care of the salvation God has given him. The man also showed that the law of God did not matter to him. He knew God’s law, but did not care about it. He knew the judgment which God pronounced on those who violated it, but was ready to put God to the test.
Deuteronomy 21: 10-15 If you take a captive women you must take her to her home, and change garments. Mainly because they were to attract and seduce men.
0Godspeed0 10 months ago
@SimonSays288 KKKThen you let her mourn her pagan gods, because another religion is not allowed., and She isn’t forced to believe in her captives God. After that she can choose to marry the man, or if she doesn’t want to, or the Man doesn’t want her, she is to be freed.
Deuteronomy 22: 13-30 Verses 13 – 21 really show how you don’t understand the cultural of that time. Virginity was very important, and expected to be kept til marriage.
0Godspeed0 10 months ago
@SimonSays288 So if a Husband was to make a false claim, he was charged pretty hefty, and had to live with his wife for the rest his wife. EX. She cooked his meals for one. =p losing one’s virginity before marriage was very wrong in that time, and looked as very evil, and couldn’t be tolerated. Sex before marriage led to the evils of lust, and adultery.
Deuteronomy 25: 11-12 The woman is severely dealt with because of the great importance of the perpetuation of the family.
0Godspeed0 10 months ago
@SimonSays288 A man who cannot beget children, and marry his brother's widow to keep his brother's name alive, nor can he beget offspring to perpetuate his own family.
Joshua 6: 21-22 Once again out of context. The people of Canaan were wicked. They were burning their own sons and daughters as sacrifices to their gods.
II Samuel 12: 15-19 It was David’s punishment for murder, and committing adultery.
0Godspeed0 10 months ago
@SimonSays288 I would love to explain the evidence to you, but It can’t been done here. I don’t want to fill 10 comment pages. Private message me if you want evidence. No my friend murder is not just murder. God is Just. Sin equals death. Shall I explain further? Lol. no that doesn’t make him insecure. They just state that God loves us, and wants us to love him.
0Godspeed0 10 months ago
@Simonsays228 also I have no problem having a reasonable discussion with you. Just don't turn this into attacks, or insults.
0Godspeed0 10 months ago
@SimonSays288 Well you did. You took verses out of context, and claimed them to be something thier now. I replied using verses in the same chapter that change the total meaning of the verse you stated. So yes you took them out of context. Shall we review them? Please stop just throwing out objections, and stay on topic. To begin the Bible says the earth is sphere shaped, suspened in space. Isaiah 40:22 Job 26:10, and Job 26:7. Evolution is just another theory with feeble amount of evidence.
0Godspeed0 10 months ago
@JonathanSerious oh, wow, just wait a second. I didn't insult any christian. I just answered to the ones comment with its missionary content. Calling other people to be hateful is rather an insult.
And you are a christian? I wouldn't ever think that, with that great skull on your channel and its black background. Or is it meanwhile christiain to be a fan of death and darkness?
Editfan 10 months ago
@SimonSays288 again I do not focus on the just the a partial part of scripture due to life lessons i've learned thru experience. If I said anything that made it sound like that then I apologize since that was not my intent. This conversation was all about gays and their rights and is now switching to how evil you view the bible to be. I agree with godspeed when he says to read the whole bible to get a clear understanding of what you are reading/ interpreting before doing so.
Lburna84able 10 months ago
@Lburna84able Do I have to read those boring parts where they say the son of someone and his son named something and his son named something that married someone named something and then that goes on forever. When it comes down to it, doesn’t the Bible just contain philosophy and political ideologies packed and readymade for you? Because nobody can live without a philosophy and it's sometimes hard to work out something yourself, but hey, he Bible's there, now you don't need to think.
SimonSays288 10 months ago
@SimonSays288 What I mean is to actually read the whole chapter, or passage to fully understand what is being said. Because you on numerous occasions have just picked verses out on context, when the answers where in the same chapter. Hope that clears it up. You also do not understand what the Bible is inteaded for. Its basically the standered on how to live our lifes, and how to have a relationship of Jesus Christ. No the Bible isnt just a philosophy handout, because

SimonSays288 10 months ago
@SimonSays288 Yes, it's valid alright. Our MIND, our BODY, & our SPIRIT are all connected. They're complimentary & because they fit together so well, it can be hard to differentiate each one. The lines are blurred! That being said, with real focus & diligent study, there's plenty of knowledge on the subject to get a grasp of it, if we want to. I obviously have. As have you.
But.. You're right, do we really need to analyze life so much? Let's just live it!
sthnwatch 10 months ago
@sthnwatch When I wrote the last reply I didn't notice your explanation, I thought you asked me to read between the lines or something, I apologize. But still, you are taking science and add some deeper meaning to it. When the ancient Egyptians tried to explain the soul they said the soul resides in the heart, a valid assumptions considering that when you're emotionally hurt your heart hurts as well. But now we know, do we really need spirituality? A sunset is beautiful on its own...
SimonSays288 10 months ago
Shawn, I agree with everything you say but one: I believe Adam knew of the concept of right and wrong before he sinned. From the moment one has been warned of the bad(!) consequences of an action, one knows that to disobey has these consequences. Iow, the warning gives the concept. Action-reaction. To choose to do something while knowing the consequences is sin. To be concience is to have a concience. While Adam didn't see sin around him, he knew that to disobey God would be a bad thing to do.
EdjeBos 10 months ago
@TheAbyrwalg Again you apparently have an issue with your ears, because he said that people murder as a result of free will; basically, Elohim will not force you not to sin, as it would defy free will.
AdonTimasu 10 months ago
@TheAbyrwalg Apparently you have a problem with your ears. He said that because of the inherited sinful nature of humanity because of Adam and Eve eating the apple, illnesses were able to occur. He didn't say that those who had diseases have diseases because they deserved it, he's saying that with the knowledge of good and evil came the consequences of disobeying Elohim.
AdonTimasu 10 months ago
@SimonSays288 Now this is getting out of hand. I have answered all your questions peacefully, and now your attacking me saying im forcing my "toys" on you. Im just defending what I believe, after you questioned it. It really irritates me when people say Im forcing my beliefs on to others, but its fine, when you can bash and question my faith. And yes its a choice. Either give up the sins of this world, and live. Or Live in your sin, and die. If you say no to God, then you choose hell. Watch Vid,
0Godspeed0 10 months ago
"Reward does not make this any less moral."
That's very true, but people are pleasure-seeking and pain-avoiding beings (which is more than natural), so temptation to let those (heaven and hell) affect to our actions - even in subconscious level - is very strong, because of duration and strength of those in religions. True desire to help others doesn't rise from those motives.
Why did you remove my comment btw?

If God exists outside of time, would you say that a born again Christian in 2011 is already with God in the new heaven and new earth to God not us since we are still within time, and do you think they have the knowledge that God can still see them in years past or now that all things are created new then that time has all passed away even from God?Something I can't quite wrap my mind around. The only thing I can think of is that when all things are created new it does not include time?
dedred5 10 months ago
@SimonSays288 I know im not involved in this conversion, but I just had to point this out. This is yet, another example of nit-picking, and taking stuff out of context. If you read the ENTIRE chapter (which is 9 verses) you wil see this is a unknown author, crying out to God in angry about the edomites, and babylon actions againist Jerusalem. This verse says nothing about God Killing children, or ordering to kill children. The Bible is not evil my friend, you just need to actually read it.
0Godspeed0 10 months ago
@0Godspeed0 Then why is such an evil thing as smashing children at rocks in the Bible then, would God intervene if they actually were to smash children at rocks?
SimonSays288 10 months ago
@SimonSays288 Free Will means we choose what we want to do. Should God intervene everytime you go and drink or smoke? (not assuming you do, just a example) and stop you, because its bad? Yes I know that its grapic for children to die like that, but thats how far man has fallen.
0Godspeed0 10 months ago
@0Godspeed0 I mean is it moral to, when destroying your enemies you adopt their brutality and violence to do so, using evil to defeat evil. Taking pleasure in the notion that when their time's up we can wreak havoc, rape and slaughter them just like they did to us. These are the good guys talking in the Bible. And in the end shouldn't they thank the Babylonians, without them they would not have the Noah's story ark or the Tower of Babel.

RaptureOrTribulation 10 months ago
You would think that the most freqeuent question about god is, Does god Exist, Do you have any evidence? (Yes, I'm Atheist.)
Thekitkatmaster 10 months ago
@Thekitkatmaster Go look in the mirror. The evidence is right in front of you. You are a god yourself. We all are. We're beautiful, creative, just & merciful spirits. The God you're asking about is the Grandaddy of us all! Try to understand that the evil force that was always envious of our relationship to our daddy has interfered as much as possible to pervert our contact with the Almighty God. Please try to understand this and you'll have a better understanding on why you struggle to believe.

@lancecryor I find it funny you're Christian yet you love all these evil characters like Bison or Kazuya Mishima. You sir are a contradiction.
Sunsuperman 10 months ago
@BarryGormley2010 If you were truly a Christian in the past you wouldn't ask "is there a god" or say "prove its the Christian god" because you'd know that there is a god and he's the only way. My guess is that for whatever reason you only treated Christianity like a rulebook and didn't really believe. And man do you even know what "good conscience" is? God who is holy has to punish sin, and hell is the punishment. Oh in case you didn't know he offers eternal life too. -_____-
lancecryor 10 months ago

Lburna84able 10 months ago
@Lburna84able So you're saying that we should hate the rape but love the rapist? Hate the murder but love the murderer? Love Osama? I wonder, why of all the horrible crimes a human can commit homosexuality is considered the worst, even though it's perfectly natural and it's NOT a choice. It has even been observed in animals. "The sin of being gay should not be tolerated", then let god sort them out, better, let us sort them out, this intolerance has claimed lives and still do in this modern age.
SimonSays288 10 months ago
@SimonSays288 Thanks for clarifying that lol, yes that's exactly what I'm saying. No one said following God's will was easy but that's what he ask of us, also I'm not God so I'm already aware there will be instances where i will fall short by not being able to hate just the sin. Just answering his question it's not geared just toward gays it does apply to all sin
Lburna84able 10 months ago
@Lburna84able yeah, but, generally all religious people has something against gays. Why is the issue of what two people, hetero or gay alike, do in their beds? If I understood you right you mean all the sinners have the same rights but not gays. And if I understood the Bible right, God's will is the following; commit genocide on other religions, slavery is ok and killing children is a valid way to show that you mean business etc. Leviticus is basically the 100 reasons you suck and should die.
SimonSays288 10 months ago
@SimonSays288 Then clearly you DON'T understand God's will right. All unrighteousness is sin so that means fornication too.. gay or straight. Oh and the new testament is waiting for you lol
lancecryor 10 months ago
@lancecryor I know that there's the new testament, I'm just so astounded by the fact that God seem really schizophrenic considering the huge personality change from OT to NT. It doesn’t matter to me that there's the nt, the fact is that God DEMANDED all the things I listed. Still, the nt is sexist, thinks slavery is ok and when you consider Jesus as a teacher he said many contradictions, he didn't speak clearly etc. So it's a sin to continue the survival of the species? It's unrighteous?
SimonSays288 10 months ago

SimonSays288 10 months ago

Cont...
0Godspeed0 10 months ago
@0Godspeed0 People that were prisoners of war were also sold into slavery, do you think they wanted that? In the Bible it's said that you can beat the slave mercilessly, if the slave dies the master's to be punished, if the slave survives it's ok. According to the Bible a slave needs to serve for 7 yrs, but his master can get around this by giving him a wife, when the slave gets to leave he can hold his family hostage, the slave has no choice but to return and the master owns him permanently.
SimonSays288 10 months ago
@SimonSays288 Once again, do you just google certain scripture? To start off, if you actually read a ahead to Exodus 21:27, you see that, if a owner were to abuse, and harmed a slave, the slave shall be set free. No the master does not hold the family hostage. Because the master can not just give him a wife. The Slave can accept or choose not to accept the wife. So If the slave really likes is master he could stay. If not go. The slave wasnt bribed. You should check verse 3 of that passage to...
0Godspeed0 10 months ago
@0Godspeed0 The doesn't the whole thing get contradictory real fast? The Bible sais that if the slave loses an eye he'll be set free, that's nice. But the thing I react to is that the Bible's ok with beating a slave to death as long as the slave doesn't die immediately. The Bible doesn't say if slavery is moral or immoral it only sais that slaves were treated better, so believing that slavery's ok in the Bible needs you to believe that owning people as property is moral.
SimonSays288 10 months ago
@SimonSays288 There is no if, ands, or buts, If A master killed his slave, immediately, or not the master will be punished. If The master harms the slave, the slave shall be freed. Yes the Bible, doesnt condem, slavery, because one it exsisted before the jews became a nation, and continued aftered, It Played a minor economic role in that time period. Slavery was also used as punsihment for crimes, as there wasnt jails in that time period. Slavery is not of God, but mans will. But Slavery
0Godspeed0 10 months ago
@SimonSays288 by the Israelites was much, much better then any kind of slavery of other nations. As slaves for the Israelites had many laws for protection, and rights.
0Godspeed0 10 months ago
@0Godspeed0 But if it's not moral to own a slave then why didn't God condemn it or create some substitute for it? Did he just say, "Hey that works just fine, owning people, there's nothing wrong with that I do it all the time"
SimonSays288 10 months ago
@SimonSays288 Because slavery was already being practiced, and played economic roles in those days, before God gave the law. Slavery was also used for criminals, because they didnt have jails, or prisons. Just flat out condeming it will do more harm then good. So God did the right thing with the laws givin to slaves which were fair. You have to agree to do that. And what possible substitute is there for slavery?
0Godspeed0 10 months ago
@0Godspeed0 Today the same economical problems still exist just on a larger scale, you don't see people enslaved in civilized countries today do you. I do not know a substitute, but considering there are no people enslaving themselves or being enslaved form money anymore must mean something have been found. And for God there should be no problem finding a substitute, he's God after all.
SimonSays288 10 months ago
@SimonSays288 Nowhere did I mention that there was problems. I just noted thats how thier economical system was balanced. The substitute was giving slaves rights that protected them. No other country gave slaves such laws, and Rights.
0Godspeed0 10 months ago
@0Godspeed0 You have an economical problem if you willingly enslave yourself.
SimonSays288 10 months ago
@SimonSays288 That person indivudal may, not the country itself.
0Godspeed0 10 months ago
@0Godspeed0 The government won't tolerate enslavement, if you commit a small crime e.g. smashing windows you may do community service. If you're in debt you need to work it of by the procedure given by the government and not by the person you're in debt to. A prisoner of war won't be enslaved, a criminal won't be enslaved, a foreigner won't be enslaved. Slavery in any form was condemned long ago. Slavery was the easiest moral question mankind has faced, God got that one wrong.
SimonSays288 10 months ago
@SimonSays288 Yes, but you must understand that the didnt have any prisons at all. So what do they do with POW, and Criminals? Allow a POW that hate your guts just run free, and criminals in unjust. They Government at no answer for those who was in debt, or couldnt make a living for themselfs. Slavery by the israelites, was strongly protected by God. You dont really understand the nature of God Either. Slavery isnt of God. Its the result of sin. Free Will, the people choose to enslave and...
0Godspeed0 10 months ago
@SimonSays288 torture people. Slaverly was cruel, but thats the choice they made. And by the scripture I have givin, you see God did intervene and gave rights to slaves. They were givin food, had shelterworked for money, couldnt be hurt, released after 7 years. The other option for some people where to die on the streets and suffer. Like I said the government had no answer for poverty. So slavery by the israelites is wrong, but people dieing on streets is alright.
0Godspeed0 10 months ago

SimonSays288 10 months ago
@SimonSays288 I apoligize for what I said then. I thought you were just starting to flame. No thats free choice, and nots whats supported in the BIble. Lets me use venom's examples. You speed down the highway, bu get arrested for speeding. You choice to speed, no one forced you. Or you steal, and get thrown in jail. You decided to steal, no one forced you, so you have to suffer the consquences. You are choosing sin over God. You are a athiest so your rejecting God. You chooced to do that, so
0Godspeed0 10 months ago
@SimonSays288 you choose Hell. God doesnt send people to hell. People choose to go to hell. So you have a choice. Accept Jeses Christ into your life, and be saved. Or continue to life the way you want to, and die. I know I soubnd preachy, not intended to, but I hope you understand this.
0Godspeed0 10 months ago
@0Godspeed0 I don't accept Jesus Christ into my face. I don't choose to go to hell. Jesus Christ was nobody more than a mocker. Accepting such a guy as saviour is ridiculous.
