ah i see what you are saying, it would be nice to see that familiar waffle pattern on the side of those mags but SVD mags are just SOOOOO hard to get in the US
@MrBman956 what I was saying is that since it is from Russia if they were going to make it take mag from another gun they would have useed SVD mag because in Russia they are easy to find and are cheap.I did want one of these till I found out it uses 5rd single stack mags. I still want a vepr but I thing I will get the 308 version
will be buying the Vepr Tactical soon....no thanks to your guys lame ass videos. Maybe you would pass the production costs for it our way, in that case ty. Any plans far a Tactical Vepr in 5.45x39???
What are you, a Fucking Mall Ninja? Trolling my SERIOUS comment concerning this video, as they did not even bother to test fire their product? Nice GaY Anime on yer youtube homepage by the way; I'd be fucking ashamed to be linked to that GaY shit. Do you even know how to field strip & re-assemble an AK in pitch darkness; or is your experience merely limited to Airsoft products? You MUST be a member of ARFCOM!
So does Atlantic still have these VEPR's in stock? I know they used to be imported but as far as that goes I havent heard anything new. Are they being imported once again?
beautiful simply beautiful here i was thinking about a semi auto 7.62x54R besides the SVT-40(no one wants to let go of this where i live) and i find this! wonderful..but i doubt id ever see this because i live in California..(stupid CA restrictions) and to make such a fine work of art and engineering into a CA legal gun is pure blasphemy!
@ukrexnub Vyatskie Polyany (1:04) - is a city in Kirovsk region of Russian Federation. This “VEPR" is NOT Ukrainian gun & never was. You probably red an article in Wikipedia, but didn't you notice SLIGHT difference in caliber, this is 7.62X54r - semi auto & Ukrainian is 5.45x39 - select fire & design BULLPUP? Ukrainian VEPR is nothing but redesigned AK-74 to Bulpup version... Don't mislead people & learn the subject first.
Ok, you've got a heavier receiver, it shoots light ball and heavy ball ammunition, has a thicker chrome lined barrel than a PSL with a chrome lined gas block. Now the bad- it has a single stack magazine, and no magazine higher than a 5 rd limit made for it currently. You could grind out the mag well to fit PSL mags but that could potentially lead to a broken $1000 gun if it's done sloppy. Someone stated something about no LRBHO. This is an AK action people.
I have five crates of mid-1980s Soviet production 7.62x54R. I would love to get one of these to burn some of that ammo! Can you get higher cap mags (10-15 rounds)? What is the cost of extra mags? - Mike
Has the VEPR been released yet is the question? And if it has what will be the price of the VEPR. It seems some gun stores haven't even heard of it yet.
@x42b you can buy them online at the Atlantic Firearms web sight for $1,169.00 I would definatly buy one if I could find a good supply of magazines prefferably ones that hold 10 rounds. thinking about getting it anyway.
I'm expecting sub MOA groups with from this tank. Will there be higher capacity mags in the future? This would be alot less expensive to shoot than my Kel Tec RFB.
@esh325 >>>Yes they are chrome lined >> Enhanced against weather and mechanical wear the cartridge chamber, barrel bore, gas cylinder, and bolt- support rod are chrome lined
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
So this is a review? How does the rifle group? Did you guy's even bother taking it to the range? Sure, it's a VEPR, it's well made, it's built on a receiver patterned after the Russian RPK; but most of us inquiring minds who would like to see an actual review on the Vepr 7.62x54 alraedy know this. Thanks for wasting my time. This is nothing more than an advertisement for your shop. Pathetic.
@polytech44xyz >>>It is a BRIEF pictorial review it was NOT designed to be a 20 minute long range report. Please realx a bit we clearly cover in the text above this is a Brief Virtual walk around review designed to be short & sweet not a detailed review .
It's about time someone offered an autoloading rifle chambered for this round considering how much of this ammo is floating around now. Up to now, the only autoloaders have been the Dragunov and its knock-offs. Even the Russians didn't bother after they took the Tokarev SVT-38 and -40 rifles out of service.
ya, I've bought like 5-6 guns from you guys, gonna be subscribing, that would be cool if I could actually see products being handled before purchasing! And as I remember I asked if you were able to do a side by side comparison on ARFCOM, you guys never disappoint!!!!
We are working on a brief You Tube virtual walk around review on most of the firearms we offer and hope to start posting more each week. not bad. i think it would be cool if you did the close up's and what not but after all the close ups do a talk threw as well?like the koraynovich arms ak vid i did for you guys. its still on my channel page to the right corner. but otherwise pretty cool i must say.

if it took SVD mags I would get one
yurik19881 1 week ago
@yurik19881
Why?
PSL mags are FAR more common and much less expensive.
Last time I saw an Actual SVD mag for sale is was like $60
MrBman956 1 week ago
@MrBman956 or PSL mags would be nice too. but if it were going to take any it would most likley take SVD mags because it is from Russia.

Mmmmm... PPSH-41 with 16 inch barrel.... What gun is that at :06 ? Looks like it uses M14 mags. Is it an AK variant? A Vepr?
I'm not a fan of how the fore end looks on this gun but it's still very cool. I dig any new made rifle chambered in 7.62x54r.

@LifeisGood762 the rifle that " looks like it uses M14 mags" is a .308 super Veper unfortunatly it cant use M-14 mags

I like it, but for the money involved, why not get a saiga in 762x51 which comes in hi-cap magazines and is also more common ammo.

One thing I'd also like to point out is that the gas block appears to be chromed lined, opposed to the PSL which isn't.
