Basically the patient sits down and discusses if they would like hospice care and which hospice to their doctor, how the patient wants things to play out etc. There is nothing about rationing care to the sick or dying.

@fbi10 I know it doesn't touch people over 55. By 2030 people 55 will have to pay 65% of their medicare compared to 25% now. People who are 54 at the time of this bill will be given a voucher and have to try and find somebody to cover them. How easy will it be for somebody with cancer, heart conditions, etc? It'll be near impossible for people like that to get coverage. This is a move that benefits only insurance companies. And for the 9 millionth time, obamacare does not ration care.
The vouchers would not go up it would create insurance exchanges through which private plans, approved by the government, would be available to seniors. The government would provide a subsidy for retirees to offset the cost of coverage & adjust it based on income &then let them shop around for the best deal...kinda like obamacare in a way. Rationing is required for obamacare...what don't you understand about that fact??

The "death panel" was referring to end of life counseling. Basically the patient sits down and discusses if they would like hospice care and which hospice to their doctor, how the patient wants things to play out etc. There is nothing about rationing care to the sick or dying.

@fbi10 I know it doesn't touch people over 55. By 2030 people 55 will have to pay 65% of their medicare compared to 25% now. People who are 54 at the time of this bill will be given a voucher and have to try and find somebody to cover them. How easy will it be for somebody with cancer, heart conditions, etc? It'll be near impossible for people like that to get coverage. This is a move that benefits only insurance companies. And for the 9 millionth time, obamacare does not ration care.

I did not vote Obama and will not vote Obama. That being said the last people that would ever get my vote are republicans.
