Sorry bro. Merchanting is not illegal. Your allowed to invest your money into things with intentions of gaining more money than what you originally invested. Its called the stock market. And on runescape its called flipping. Flipping on runescape is a very neat simulator of real life investments. Many people use the G.E. to practice investing with intentions of moving on to the stock market. I'm one of those people and I've made 400mil so far investing with the g.e.

Also you at the video real merchanting and merch clans should be differentiated, there is no problem with flip merchanting as all it does is take advantage of people selling min and max who don't care about losing a little on their items.

and i actually tried merchanting once. It was a high grade merch clan, they merched santas. They were on the east coast USA like me. turns out, after they rose 400k, they dumped at 5:30 am. I wasnt up that early at all and all the demand for santas had been met. I finally sold it for junk and that junk finally sold but i ended up losing 7m from it. btw most of the junk was 50k regular restores which was about 10m at the time and is now around 45m lol kinda wish i kept em!

when the price of laws go to about 300 nats are 200

then it switches and nats are about 300 and laws 200

this is because when the price of one goes higher more pple make and more are available in the econemy so the prices are always goin from 1 to another-

In my opinion if you're smart enough to manipulate the economy in your favor then by all means go for it. Jagex shouldn't ban it. People should learn the hard way not to get scammed and to watch out for themselves. I think they have rightfully EARNED their money. It my opinion it takes a lot of brains and stradegy to do what Chessy did and although it may not completely ethical I respect her for doing what she had to do to get on top. 2. they actually put the name and tell the recruits what they going to merch, then they tell you at what price to "dump" the item at, so lets say they merching...like rune plates for instance...they say dump it when it reaches 100k, but the leaders themselves dump it at 80k and they make money, then the item crashes and all that bought that item are gonno lose the money they invested.

theres 2 ways which they do it.

1. buy all the stocks of a certain item before telling the unranked people they recruited, and about 1-2 days later while they put "dump" on their clan name, they sell it and put the name of the item they bought and are trying to sell on the clan name...so at first they buy all the stocks at lowest and put it at g.e highest so all the recruits buy it, and the leaders make money...OR
