  • i don't get it man ... i rly dont understand ... i knew the kata from hein shodat to JION perfectly but now i dont know nothing xD cause i havent done karata for 4 years ... will i learn them fast again ?

  • One word to your Heian Yondan: The essence of the kata is the dynamic use of your centre of gravity. Your tension is good, but your tecniques are slow. I talk about the time between start and finish of a single tecnique. Minimize your movements and make it more relaxed. Tension only at the end. Because of your slowlyness you overrun tecniques in your kata to compensate it. That´s not nessecary. If the singe tecnique is faster, you have the time for the stops. Good luck.

  • Very good Kata

  • Awesome, thanks for commenting. I appreciate it and am glad that you're enjoying the videos.

  • Ohhh nice Jion. Expand some of those actions out and thats going to be a pretty vicious kata. Good hip dynamics on the fumikomis, nice turns, and I liked the tempo on the age ukes as well. Jion was a kata designed for bigger guys so think BIG when you do it. Also keep that head up, wise man says if you look down you'll go down but if you look forward you'll go forward.

  • Thank you very much for the comment. I will take your advice and think BIG when doing Jion. Also, nice saying about looking down vs. looking forward.
