Soo cool, can you tell me what chords you used, or how you played it because I have this thing coming up next wednesday for church adn I'm sooo not sure how to play it.
thanks and you're right. I picked about 3 or 4 songs w/ barres in them and am determined to learn them better, faster. lol. I've also been experimenting w/ open D tuning which is very cool and easy for major chords but not easy w/ minor chords
So true. Im determined to learn them too. I think its important because Im auditioning for our youth groups worship team, and I only ever see the leader using barres so I think he wants me to be able to play them too!
open d tuning is a lot of fun. you can strum all chords w/out any fingerings and it's d major. barre one finger on each fret and it's a major chord. no other fingers needed. tune you guitar like this starting w/ the low E: DADF#AD. you can always tune it back. really cool

Lovely. I find playing songs with barre chords actually helps you learn them faster :D
