  • COOL 68 i love it i have a 65 impala with the same combination my question is what type of drive shaft & pinion yoke are you using? im sure its not a stocker with those launches your doin...anyhow keep up the good work people dont realize how hard it is to get these big cars rollin with a small motor and no jug...65 impala ss396 best e.t. to date 11.69 @114 mph

  • @ironsides64

The guy doing my diff/drive shaft & pinion yoke is using Mark Williams stuff. All sfi approved (SFI 43.1) and your choice of 1350 & 1480 U-joints. Hope it helps. Nothing cooler than makin a heavy (Chevy) car haul the mail. :)

  • Awsome ride, love it. I have a new engine one the way for my 67 396/325 SS Impala which i plan to run at the occasional nostalgia meets.

I was going to pick your brain about your chassic combo but it's probably easier if you gave me some reccomendations based on my engine. Its a 582 that made 728HP @5600 rpm and 752ft-lbs@4500. Any ideas on set up? Im thinking Hotchkis trailing arms (adjustable uppers) Qa-1 shocks etc etc....

    Any help would be appreciated.

  • Impys are WAY cool.

    Fast Impys are best.

  • very nice car. nice performance

  • Awsome

    is it stock??

  • If you call going through twenty sets of heads and intakes, cheater "factory cam", high dollar lifters, headers, decked block, milled and cc'd heads, correct valve train geometry, degreed cam and gears "stock", then YES, it's stock, lol.

  • haha definitely not stock, although it seems to be "naturally aspirated" meaning it doesn't have turbos, superchrager, etc.

    great car though.

  • Just stunning!!

  • that is one nice ride.

  • Beautiful..

  • They can just cancel super gas/comp/street, top fuel, pro stock, funny car, and keep Stock and Super Stock in my opinion.

  • @dfinkie Pro Stock is cool I think, but other than that I agree.
