  • I really like to use the KB stabilizers, they are quick and sturdy and set great on hard pan bottoms as well. Keep up the good work.

  • What trap would work best for beavers?

  • @SuperJg4567 Duke 330 or like me i prefer snares their cheaper and easier to set but do what you think works best

  • well done nice vid and nice beavers

  • I have a question for you, which you might not be able to answer because of where you live. I am trapping in northern new york, and i am having a hard time. I caught 3 very young beaver in a 330 blind set. Then i caught a huge beaver stick that the bigger ones were dragging the next day. After all this, the adults became trap shy. I set a foot hold on a place where the beaver were walking over a damn. I missed one two days in a row, and now they are afraid of footholds too.

  • @TheGarrett39 You might want to look into setting some snares, they're affective on the slides and places where you know the beaver are gonna be walking. But check with your local laws if your going to use a locking snare. Some states dont allow them.

  • Nice vid, just trying to get back into trapping after being out of it for 30 years. Want to pass it down to my boys.

  • you sir, have some of the best trapping videos on youtube. Im in Tennessee, so i wont be trapping to far away from ya this season.

  • Nice video, I am trapping a lake this year through the ice. Im pritty pumped up about It.

  • can you use a #220 to trap beaver?

  • I have seen alot of trapping videos on Youtube. But you sir, have an excellent one! Just inspires me to go trapping with a friend this winter up here in Mass. Thank you

  • @LarsonsMom Thanks!!

  • I've been trapping since "74. I've had more luck using Castor mound sets during the mating season in early Spring, but sometimes use them as a curiosity . Do you use a Castor-based lure all year-round? Thanks. Good video :)

  • @snyper069 I will used castor based lures pretty much most of the year. If I am trapping May-Sept I will generally use a food based lure or I am using blind sets.

  • @85trapper No, beavers do not care about human scent.

  • @gatrapper I disagree. I have found that when it is warm they pay moreattention to exposed traps and human scent.as well as other disturbances. When the temperature is cold they don't seem to be affected very much. Where I trap In south Georgia that window is Dec. 5th to febuary 15th.

Just my observation over the years.

We need more kids involved in the sport. These videos really help.

  • Great how to video, I can't wait to get started trapping my property. Those beaver do a lot of damage to my land here. Maybe next year i can grow a nice garden down by the creek. Thanks.

  • @MrWhiskyDog Way to go this video was so informative thank you so much these sets will really help this year hope you get lots of beaver. Good luck trapping
