So I would not say Islam equally persecuted nor that they are not a war-like religion. Their holy book the Quran actually tells all Muslims to wage war on infidels, and that means anybody not of the Islamic faith. Ye fair point and im sorry for it. I do believe good things come from religion I like to think of the bible as a book of morals and a guide to living in peace. But for some people who take it to fair it does the opposite. Practically every war has been based on religious believes. Not trying to offend anyone but in todays world I believe it would be a more peaceful place if people did look at alternative believes.

@kenjg67 I think there is one flaw in this argument: Islam is equally heavely persecuted, does that make Islam the truth too? I think why christianity is so heavely persecuted is because some 'christians' threats people with hell, preach war and so on. Islam is equally attacked because of it's extremists too. For example, if you were an atheist, and somebody threat you with hell all the time, wouldn't you too be angry then? I would. I think we have a responsibility as christians to be loving.

It is a spiritual battle that rages between God and Leucifer that drives the persecution of christians across the ages and spurs the wars waged on this world between nations. Great Song. In response to TeslaSagan, history does not disprove God nor does science. Science does not say who created the world or any beings. It just say how things came to be. Your comment is very ignorant. Next time you have an idea, think it over before you post it. I am a christian and a bioengineering student and i believe that science proves the existence of god because, science comes down to a point where nothing can be explained. No can disprove the existence of God.

the leadership held the slaves, not the people. the people were punished because of a few "bad apples". even the poor egyptian guy working in the mud and grass who has no political intrests was punished with the death of his first born. is that fair? is that loving? is that logical? no. no. NO!

The Good News is that God has made a way for people to be free from the bondage of sin, & that is to repent and be baptised in the name of Jesus. However, there r still a lot of good people out there who r still in the dark about it, so as a result they lived with guilt and shame in their lives. They need to know that God loves them. God wants desperately to be in our lives. I believe in Hell, but I don't believe God is so harsh. I think he'll measure us each by the lives he led us to live. What kind of God would condemn people living in distant places who have never heard speak of his name? Who never had a chance to believe? Not my God. I think the kind of people who go to Hell will be the ones taking their lives for granted. People who never give back what God has given. We are here to uplift one another.

For me it was never like that. I never saw God as a byway to Heaven. I never chose Him because I was afraid of Hell. God is not about HATE or FEAR or even eternity. God is about love and he wants everyone to live life to the fullest without petty differences.

Great Song. In response to TeslaSagan, history does not disprove God nor does science. Science does not say who created the world or any beings. It just say how things came to be. Your comment is very ignorant. Next time you have an idea, think it over before you post it. I am a christian and a bioengineering student and i believe that science proves the existence of god because, science comes down to a point where nothing can be explained. However, no one answered Shadrach76's question: what is sin? Simply put, sin is rebellion against God. Whether through our thoughts, words, or actions, when we disobey God, we are sinning. (disobedience is rebellion)

Dude, I'm an Evangelical Christian who lives in Singapore, and has believe in Christ since the age of 11. I noe the NIV well enough to be pissed off by shadrash's lack of bible knowledge, as well as his false accusation of our God as a murderer of babies and children. Christ died so that we can live and do good deeds, yet pple like shadrash continue to kill off the reputation of christians worldwide, simply becoz he is prejudiced against them. Such lack of responsibility is just horrendous!!

I truly believe that good people will go to Heaven regardless of their faith. There is no harm in just living life and being a good person. None of us are perfect. God says come to Him broken, He wants you as you are, He doesn't care and He loves you. When that day comes and Jesus returns, even then he will forgive you and admit you to Heaven. All these people preaching hate just remember that it's called Judgment Day for a reason. All your sins will be laid before the world and before God.

The Good News is that God has made a way for people to be free from the bondage of sin, & that is to repent and be baptised in the name of Jesus. However, there r still a lot of good people out there who r still in the dark about it, so as a result they lived with guilt and shame in their lives. They need to know that God loves them. God wants desperately to be in our lives. I believe in Hell, but I don't believe God is so harsh. I think he'll measure us each by the lives he led us to live. What kind of God would condemn people living in distant places who have never heard speak of his name? Who never had a chance to believe? Not my God. I think the kind of people who go to Hell will be the ones taking their lives for granted. People who never give back what God has given. We are here to uplift one another.

For me it was never like that. I never saw God as a byway to Heaven. I never chose Him because I was afraid of Hell. I very much dislike it when people use FEAR of God to try to swede people to THEIR version of Christianity. As if that will make people accept God into their hearts? I don't think so. God is not about HATE or FEAR or even eternity. God is about love and he wants everyone to live life to the fullest without petty differences.

The bible is a reflection of life itself, so im not surprised that it is contradictory. Life itself is a contradiction. Take for example war and peace. Only those who had fought will understand how valuable peace is. Only the sinner will appreciate the grace and mercy that God extends to people who repent from their destructive behavior.

God didn't create Hell, Satan did. God banished Satan and his followers from Heaven after they revolted against Him.
God didn't make Hell the "default after life destination." He wants every soul to come live in Heaven for eternity; it's just that there are people who refuse to believe in Him.
God doesn't make deals for souls. God can't let people into Heaven who don't accept His Son for who he is.
