I agree, why does she completely skirt the issue that he left his child alone with a known drug user and someone who he had previously felt was an unfit parent? Why doesn't she care that he apparently never called his child to find out that she wasn't in school? Nancy is just bawling all over this guy completely unconcerned with his obvious involvement (intentional or not) in his daughter's death.
He was away out of town on a business trip. He still should have been more attentative though and wary about leaving his children with her monster of a month.

I don't buy this guy's religiously-inspired stoicism - he's playing the God card to make difficult questions go away. He's culpable, but hey, let's all send him some money instead.
