hi i've just started heavys and i can do rally's but when i do the tip i end up bringing it back and forward haha ! I'm not supposed to buy my heavys yet so ive been practising with trainers on and they are no good so its really hard, have you got any suggestions what i could wear until i get my heavys?
@therandombananas98 - Trainers can be a nuiscance coz they tend to scuff the floor when doing trebles. Could you maybe borrow an old pair off someone or even a pair of tap shoes? If not then maybe just practising in your socks would be better than trainers. Hope that helps a little :) x
ur really good at that im only a novis but i already know the st patricks day im only 10 can u help me with the 2nd part of the st patricks day pleeeeeeeaaaaaaase????
@cupcakesprinkle123 - I stopped dancing in competitions when I was 19. I'm 27 now. I have a video with St Patricks day on it, hopefully that will help you :)
Hey, im just a beginner in irish dance, can you please tell me what the difference between a treble jig, treble reel, light jig and heavy jig is? i would appreciate that so much :)
@AbiT50 - A Treble Jig & Heavy Jig are both the same dance, just different names. This is normally the first dance you will learn in heavy shoes. A light jig is the equivelant of the heavy jig but done in soft shoes. The treble real is usually danced as 1 step, usually only in open & championship level. This is the equivelant of the real.
I hope this helps a little. Please feel free to ask anything else if need be :)
yeah it does look like your shoes are a bit too big or stiff... to help you could bend them in half (toe to heel) and tie them in that position then sleep on them... always helps me, it also loosens your shoes so you can do toe stands nice and easy :)
You have great potential to be a dancer, keep working hard.
That's pretty awesome. I wish you could have danced on this piece I wrote for bagpipes, electric guitar and drumset. I've got a recording if you wanna check it out.
You know, I'll bet you'd get more views on your irish dancing if you did them scantily clad. Double whammy! yeah!
Hello your could practice in just normal shoes light shoes not converse

Interesting. Now I see that it's called Irish Dancing, but what I've seen Scots do looks similar. Course I'm not a dance expert! ;)
