It's true that God never leaves us, & we often drift away from him, but it's not fair to say that all who feel abandoned do so because they left God or because of sin. Life often has trials that make us feel far from God. God allows these to strengthen us but it doesn't necessarily mean we left God. Saying that can often unfairly discourage those who feel those moments but have not really walked away from God. (contd)

I am a firm believer in Christ and this video really spoke to me. It's amazing what He can do when you ask for help. Reading some of the previous comments on here amazed me. It's a good thing to show others Christianity and try to show them what God can do, but a level of respect is still needed to be shown. If someone isn't accepting your beliefs then try a different route or even let it go. It's one thing to try to lead someone to Christ, but if they don't want to go, you cant force them.

There is no proof that you can show me (as well as I do not have any proof to show you) that the way you believe is the true way. While conventional logic might lean towards there not being a God, that does not mean that it is not so. I use logic in my belief in God as well as in my daily life. It is all based on a persons' perspective on what is logical and what is not.

I'm agnostic and don't really know whether or not I believe in a higher power. I really would like to have a true and established relationship with "god" because it would provide me with security - and everybody wants to be secure. Logic points us towards god being false - but who says logic is everything? It could be argued that man's thought processes are corrupted by Satan - through logic / science. Organised religion is incredibly flawed though - faith should be the only thing that matters.

That's the thing though, there are so many branches of Christianity: Catholics, Baptists, Presbyterians, Mormons, Anglicans, Methodists etc. Each with it's own methods, rituals and practices... only one must be correct right? It's true that God never leaves us, & we often drift away from him, but it's not fair to say that all who feel abandoned do so because they left God or because of sin. Life often has trials that make us feel far from God. God allows these to strengthen us but it doesn't necessarily mean we left God. Saying that can often unfairly discourage those who feel those moments but have not really walked away from God. (contd)

I get where you're coming from but I want to add balance to what you said and acknowledge those who feel pain because of life but don't need the extra weight of false guilt and condemnation (from self or from others). I am a firm believer in Christ and this video really spoke to me. It's amazing what He can do when you ask for help. Reading some of the previous comments on here amazed me. It's a good thing to show others Christianity and try to show them what God can do, but a level of respect is still needed to be shown. If someone isn't accepting your beliefs then try a different route or even let it go. It's one thing to try to lead someone to Christ, but if they don't want to go, you cant force them.

I also find it funny that Jesus, who would have been a Middle Eastern person, is portrayed (yet again) as white. It would have been far more accurate to cast the black guy as him. But it just goes to show that religion is more a reflection and outgrowth of its cultural setting than a product of actual history.

I'd like to start by saying even if you don't believe in God or this God there's nothing wrong with somebody believing in something bigger than themselves. Altho I cant say I feel God's presence when I watch this, I feel better knowing that somewhere in this world people promoting something other than sex, violence, drugs, an greed. if you take God out of this, then it's still a person helping another person and if you can't make sense of that then maybe you're beyond help. dont hate.

Actually, no. The commercials you see on TV are authentic brainwashing, they actually use subliminal hypnosis and the like, so if you are going to go there, you might as well condemn everything you see on TV and on billboards. Try it yourself, and you'll find there's no greater joy or concious desicion.

@nikhimmou Even though he's done absolutely NOTHING to even prove he exist. You have a 2000 year old book written in an age before intellectual maturity. People lived pretty savage like back then and were very superstitious. There were many gods before the story of jesus with very similar stories ( demi gods half man half gods ) born of a virgin and preforming miracles and then dying and resurrecting thousands of years before the story of jesus, an NO, I did not get that from the movie Zeitgeist

for some reason skits like this do not interest me at all. and im christian. but still i get nothing out of it. i know whats happening but i dont feel the emotion without them vocally expressing the emotion as well as the actions. and no the song doesnt help me with that part.

I'm agnostic and don't really know whether or not I believe in a higher power. I really would like to have a true and established relationship with "god" because it would provide me with security - and everybody wants to be secure. Logic points us towards god being false - but who says logic is everything? It could be argued that man's thought processes are corrupted by Satan - through logic / science. Organised religion is incredibly flawed though - faith should be the only thing that matters.

@beansrule Thanks alot man =] I believe in some of the values in christianity but if we were to follow the same premise (I know I'm using logic again here and I've just stated it may not be the most important thing out there - but it definitely is the main tool which aids human understanding) then we could also argue that Satan has been present since the writing of the bible, the building of churches and the evolution of christianity - thus corrupting everything about the christian system.

That's the thing though, there are so many branches of Christianity: Catholics, Baptists, Presbyterians, Mormons, Anglicans, Methodists etc. Each with it's own methods, rituals and practices... only one must be correct right? I think the Devil is active in many christian denominations as things sway further and further from the truth. But I know in my heart that the Bible isn't corrupt. My logic tells me it could easily be wrong but my faith tells me its the only thing i trust

@Day3091 I completely respect that you believe organized religion is flawed. It truely is. I am an Atheist, so I completely understand that religion can be very confusing. In fact, that is the point of religion; to keep you thinking. They want you to be confused. That way they can easily brainwash or suggest things to you without resistance. It's not too late. Look up Atheism.

@JDWnSRV Clearly we have a difference of OPINIONS!... However, after witnessing several miracles, I know there is a higher power. Not sure bout the vampires, but if that's what a person believes, who am I to argue their opinion.... I believe in God and that's my mine. And this sort of convo is taking me away from where I want to be. GN!
