In my opinion you can't really compare Slash and Synyster. They both have a different style (once again this is just my opinion). If I want to chill with some soothing classic rock with melodic solos, I will listen to Slash. If I want to chill out or get pumped up with some heavier guitar and fantastic riffs I listen to some Avenged Sevenfold. They are both fantastic guitarists. Anyway that's just my opinion, maybe you agree maybe you don't , but I felt it needed to be said.
