It sounds a little bit cheesy, but I compare this video to life. It's a beautiful road, with exciting and boring parts, and at the end you don't know what comes next.
Thank you, thank you, Princess of Babylon. I've finally watched, teeth gritted, all of Season 5. This was a good moment, and they were thin on the ground.
This vid really reminds me of french landscapes (the fields and the electric pylons) or at least some european ones. Maybe I'm wrong but this sheet of paper on the screen's bottom left corner looked written in French. I figure the first word on the right may be "chaque".
I love it when the song shifts to that lower tone. Eluvium makes excellent music, it's like a song that's both mournful and celebratory, like watching a beautiful pearly cloud dance in the sky while it vanishes so slowly you don't notice it's leaving until it's gone. .
Guy doesn't take his foot off the sustain pedal on the piano, so it's a bit muddy. Could be a bit of background music, I guess. Reminds me of when I have sat at the piano and something interesting came out, and I repeated it, but didn't know where else to go.
The music today dosen't really reach me. Personally, I enjoy songs that are simple and bring you back. This is great 'inspiration' music, perfect for clearing that writer's block I always have.
surreal solemnity steadfast serous soulful rest easy keep breathing and when the music stops saddle up is what it says to me (or is that a bit to deep for a description)
There's a solemn harmony adding to the seemingly innocent story the melody seems to be telling. Like how a person talks, and there's a hidden sadness you can hear weighing them down, or when you look into another's eyes and they pierce you with a stab of obviously feigned complacency. The way it is to say, "Ow.. It hurt me. It hurt me too because it's something we've both known." Inheritting the bereavement of another;sharing a quiet moment, gazing at a full moon. That's what the song tells me.
I like this piece but I'm not sure I like the message the video portrays to me.
Actually if I look at it in a different way it becomes emotive. I won't express my interpretations in fear of influencing others, when it should an individual experience.
I dont see anything wrong with influencing others with your own interpretations... and its not like your own individual experience with the song is being stolen when you hear another person telling their experience... its not harmful. just interesting i think.
He comes VERY close in All the Sails off of When I Live By the Garden and the Sea. You can hear some person far off in the distance saying something akin to, 'yooooooooooowaaaaaaaaaaay'. I'd call it a near miss.

This is why I feel the best music is instrumental; it's so much more striking and every chord is like a thought, captured in a fraction of a second
