m17x which this isn't has great battery life when in steath mode. my m15x with a standard battery works for a full day of college without charging. I am guessing it's about 4hours of use. it works really well for me. it's not over sized imo.

the m17x is what made me want the m15x. I didn't need some of the features on the m17x, but i wanted power.

by watching tons of reviews.. if your going to buy an alienware laptop you should go with the m17... the m17x is a little too big and the specs arent great.. the m15x is just all over the place.. the m17 is right in the middle.. and the m17 also is a little smaller than the m17x and it also can be upgraded to act like a m17x for cheaper money...
