oh yea, I love that ashton is talking. Common, most hollywood A-listers have gag orders in their contracts. Actors and stars are bought out by the corporations and dare not bite the hand that feeds. @chamba84 The Fed is not just giving money to banks, it's buying assets that they can no longer handle and occasionally offering loans to prevent widespread economic problems. Those major banks are the conduit that the lifeblood of our economy (investment and credit) flow through. Ideally they would have put in more regulations. Who can change our government if not us? In the words of "V", governments should be afraid of people, not the other way around.

If I'm not mistaken, the term "tax" implies that you are required to pay. Kind of like, when you go to a store, and they "bill" you for your groceries. There's nothing anywhere that says PAYMENT OF YOUR GROCERY BILL IS MANDATORY, AND FAILURE TO DO SO IS PUNISHABLE BY LAW. There are, however, as in the tax code, penalties for *not* paying. Saying that the law does not mandate that we pay our taxes is silly and meaningless. Plus, it has very little to do with anything that Ashton said.

Since you didn't get what Ashton was saying I'll try to explain it to you. He said the CEO's of corporations who are failing should be the first person to take a pay cut rather than get a multi million dollar payday. He also said that the taxpayers are the ones footing the bailout bill. Yet the taxpayer has no say in how the money is spent. Therefore, the taxpayer just got punked!
