  • I just installed this exact exhaust on my car. It sounds amazing, it doesn't sound like someone strapped a coffee can to back of my car. It has a deep roar to it, no videos on YouTube can justify the sound the exhaust produces. But it was definitely much harder to install than this guys makes it out to be. Can't wait to see improvements on my 1/4 mile time

  • A real race engine is built for a turbo out of the factory, a 4g63 is a race motor, dont understand? type 4g63 in youtube and the top 50 videos show 600hp 4g63s owning everything on the street, type in civic si and you see teenage Asians boys with baseball caps riding all stock trying to race and showing off their "exhaust"

  • Honda guys just dont know anything about making power, on my turbo Eagle Talon TSI a exhaust upgrade alone gave me 23awhp to the wheels, he barley gained two, there isnt any power to be gained unless your packing a turbocharger, to bad skunk noobs are two stupid to realize that.

    You dont get it, a exhaust system on a non turbo car will get you "ZERO" wheel horse power, sure the dyno read 4-8 but you are getting "ZERO" to the actual wheels, you get sound and thats it, a turbo Talon TSI on the other hand is being badly restricted due to its ability to put out ridiculous amounts of boost completely stock, there is no way the stock 2inch exhaust can flow 25psi on boost efficiently, thats why boosted cars need a huge exhaust, a civic is not being restricted.

    Everything you said is wrong, on a turbo car a tune isnt required to gain power from a wider exhaust and if the civic has a race engine than tell me why you have to sleeve it to turbo it?

    oh gotcha, but i been talking to some friends that drive Si's or have acuras, they told me that u might wanna get a 700mm one if u have things done to ur engine and all, and a 600 if ur engine is stock, now what would u recomend if u only had like a intake and headers? a 60mm or 70mm one?

  • Skunk2 actually reduced the HP look at 0:56 the Max is 185.3 HP and Trq is 131.6 and after the installation at 6:07 Max is 184.6 HP and very little increase in Trq 132.8.

    The engine is rated at 197 from the factory. That rating was don eon their dynos, at the perfect temperature for maximum horsepower. Most Civic Si's on a regular dynamometer on a warm day rate at 180-183hp 128tq.

  • @resident123456 car builds heat, an heat kill HP. If u ever start a car on a cold day an drive it, its gonna make u feel like u gain extra 5+ HP untill the heat kicks in turn back to stock HP. This is why u get some crazy sport or racing radiator too keep everything as cool as possible.

    It takes multiple bolt-ons for for the HP to start multiplying.

  • bolt-ons make very good gains on the k20. I dropped a full second 1/4 mile time on my acura rsx-s with intake, headers, and exhuast.

  • The max horsepower was around 8,200 prob, and it dropped .8 hp just there, But think about it, You gain over 4 horsepower from 6,200-7,000, and alittle more in most areas, not bad.

    I have a stock 07 Si sedan that i'm going to install an injen CAI, pay hondata for a one-time flash map for the CAI+Catback, and the skunk2 catback itself. Hondata says you HAVE to have less restriction in the new catback, which i presume the regular megapower skunk2 does. I do NOT want a loud, attention-drawing exhaust, otherwise i would just go with the Megapower R.

  • this car is near perfect from factory. i still wouldnt spend 4-600$ on an exhaust for only 4-6 whp. its just not worth it. but hey, it helps when 'combined' with other mods.

  • this first screen shot of dyno shows max STPPwr of 185.3 and a mx Trq of 131.6 lb-ft THEN after the install he gets Max STPPwr of 184.6 and max Trq of 132.8. Guess I would want my old exhaust back. What after cold air he gets a whopping 3 HP and a couple points on lb-ft? ahahah lot of noise and no power.

    Like all keyboard tuners, you have overlooked the fact that under-the-curve gains are all that matter... even if you have no gain (or even loss) at peak power. If the area under the curve increases then the car is faster regardless of peak numbers.

    I obviously can't post numbers since I don't have this setup, nor do I clock 0-60 times pretending they mean anything in real life other than how tall your 2nd gear is. There are tons of videos on here of 8thgens racing with different bolt-ons. A common trend is that cars with high-flowing exhausts pull harder... even more so with headers.

  • What most people do not realize is that they do dyno test runs immediately after installation, the cars ecu needs to recognize the change after driving around for a while. There could be an improvement or worsening from changing these parts. They need to dyno after driving the car around for a day...

    Like he said, "The first pass of the day is always the best." (Which came out to be 185 HP)

    When they did other passes after the very first one, it came out to be 183 HP.

    The last dyno showed 184.6 HP.

    Therefore, it shows an increase.

    I could be wrong, but that's what I gathered from it.

  • yeah exhaust alone wont do much except make more noise. you should always upgrade air intake when you upgrade the exhaust if your want more noticeable power gains.

    it clearly sounds like you have no idea what your talking about. K20 is known for its 20-25 hp to wheel jump in performance with just three minor upgrades CAI/RH/E. The reason being that k20's come very restricted.

  • 183 to 184 overall 1 bhp gain 600 bux wasted, CAI first. you could have dropped a 50$ k&n panel filter in and had more gain.

    I put an K&N air filter in my SI and it also increases your fuel economy. So double win. Also I recently had a dyno completed on my car and I got 196 horsepower. Other than the filter my car is stock for now. I am getting ready to purchase a Greddy turbo kit YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I miss my Si :( I remember installing this exhaust on my friends driveway, no penetrating oil, it was an experience... Sounded great after break in, but sometimes too loud.

  • Hell yeah I got it on. Luckily a buddy of mine got his kit with double bolts n nuts. I jacked some grommets from my lead tech's "extra shit" box, and It went on without a hickup. Sounds great, not squeeky, doesn't wear out in the upper rpm band.
