I think the Supplimental Draft was the death of the Tag Team Titles. Which teams are left? The Colons.....and....and...THATS IT! Jessie and Festus are gone, Kendrick and Jackson are gone, The Edgeheads are gone, Finlay and Hornswaggle are GONE! MIZ AND MORRISON. Crime Time are very over, but thats the reason they dont need the titles. It wouldnt work very well with two teams that over to fued. Ok Legacy.....Next tag team champions..

Watching the draft myself I got the strong impression that the only reason why Cena didn't get drafted was because he is going to lose the World Title at Backlash. Either by losing to Edge or winning and then losing the belt to CM Punk (which would mirror what they did last year). Another reason why I think he stayed in Raw is because if he went to Smackdown they would have to prolong this who rivalry between the two. Which is getting old if you ask me.
This way the titles would seem more then just props and when someone wins the rumble they might just be the big main event at mania other then just another title match. Also I'd have the unified IC/us title defended more often. At the moment we can go months without seeing a title defence which is pathetic! Also make the tag title big once again and stop the tag champs losing almost every other week to the main singles stars. Any other thoughts on this?

If I was in charge of the drafting I would put all the upcomers and hardcore guys on ECW and make the show no holds barred like it actually used to be! I'd make Smackdown more of a child friendly show and put all the tag teams on there and bring back the cruiserweight title so it would be qiuute fast paced! Raw would be more gripping like in the attitude era and have most of the singles stars on the. I'd unify the heavyweight straps and us/IC and make the champions roam the 3 shows. tbc

SD's ratings sunk like WCW Thunder's with HHH there. He was getting 20-30 min of TV time a week while a very talented midcard containing Shelton, MVP, Kendrick, Chavo, R-Truth, Helms, Kennedy & Umaga (when not injured) get about 5-10 min each a month

Yeah he is a big bruiser and bruisers are hard too work with because they are so big. They look good when destroying a jobber but when put in an actual match they have problems. Koslov NEEDS something, Batista is not that versatile but the little he can do he is GREAT at it. Selling is the key, look at Hogan, he can't do hardly anything in the ring anymore, but the little things he actually does sell BIG TIME

i can also imagine an ECW with all the latest jobbers having good lengthy matches and i think that would defo attract purist audiences. Mark Henry doesnt fit on ECW - hes a bad worker whos just taking up space not trying to prove himself. Kendrick, Edgeheads, Ziggler etc should be on ECW and learning their trade there
I agree 100% with what you said about ECW. I'd send Kendrick, Zeke Jackson, Truth, and Noble over there. Eventually I'd like to see Zeke turn face and turn on Kendrick in a Diesel/HBK like feud over the ECW belt.
I thought it was a good draft but not as shocking as last year's. The thing that bothered me was the constant titles switching from one brand to the other. I'm glad Jericho's getting a fresh start on SD since we haven't seen him their in action since 2002 (unless you count last year's when he fought against MVP but that was just an interpromotional thing). It'd be pretty stupid if Edge wins the belt back from Cena for like the umpteenth time. Titles switching hands are getting on my nerves.

It seemed to me like they just switched around a few of the changes from last year. Rey returned to Smackdown after being drafted to Raw last year and HHH returned to Raw after a year on Smackdown.
I guess you can see how much WWE has soured on Kozlov too. I kind of like ECW as it is. They revolve more around the young, athletic talent. The other two shows are headlined by guys with 4 moves.
I'd want to see Evan Bourne on Smackdown, and have him team up with Rey Mysterio. That one time they tagged on Raw last year showed a potentially great pairing.
I really was'nt expecting a secondary title unification like the rest of ya. The IC title going to SD means it'll get more TV time cause SD is more of a midcarder's show. I just hope the US title does'nt get ignored like the IC title did on Raw(a main eventer's show). But TSlay you did mention Superstars so maybe it'll get some TV time there. The Hardy's(especially Jeff) should've stayed put on SD. I guess Christian will win the ECW World title at Backlash, maybe thats why he stayed put.

The cruiserweight title should stay dead and buried. This company doesn't need anymore belts. Raw gets double the audience of Smackdown and Smackdown is on lame duck network, there could be no good done by moving Cena to SD.

I'm pretty ok with SD's picks. If nothing else the moves were interesting. Like TSlay I would like to see some of the talented but seldom used guys head over to ECW in the supplemental draft. Jericho on Smackdown will be interesting. With this draft it seems to me like at Backlash, Cena is either going to lose to Edge or Punk is going to cash in to bring the belt to Smackdown. I can't see them having two heavyweight belts on the same show for too long.
And, I can't really understand why Miz went to Raw and not Morrison. Doesn't seem to make much sense. Morrison should definitely get a push this year.
I believe that the writers are making Christian earn his way back up, I believe that he will win this "elimination" and beat Swagger for the title, thus, possibly making Swagger switch brands? and Christian (somewhat) bigger.

Not gonna happen. They're done with that storyline. HBK is basically done. His leg is fucked up. He's taking some time off WWE. They're match at Mania wasn't supposed to have continuity. It was really just something for the fans. Shawn wants to spend some time with his kids.
1st of all, the draft means nothing if things go back to the way it was and guys start showing up on different shows left & right.
2nd, I think SD got the better end of the deal in terms of which talents I like. With Edge, Jericho, Taker, & Punk all on the same show, I might actually watch regularly. They also go tthe better midcard & Women's champs. If they had Christian & Morrison, it'd become my favorite show in the WWE.
Raw didn't gain much. I mean yeah they have both World champs (which might lead to a unification match unless Punk somehow steals one) but that was the case going into Mania, so that didn't matter really. MVP & Matt Hardy might be interesting choices, although I am a little upset that they ended the Hardy feud so soon.
ECW stayed the same basically. They didn't lose anything huge, they didn't gain anything huge. Its the same.
For th emost part I kind of feel like the brands just gave each other the talents they had no big plans for originally. Kane, Punk, Rey, Kozlov, & Big Show were just there & were kind of floundering. And no way in hell Jericho is gonna be a top guy on the same show as Cena & HHH. Not a prayer of that.
The draft this year seemed to me like a little bit of a novelty. Its just an attempt to boost ratings heading off the back of wrestlemania....and a weak attempt at that. The big draws that moved brands were too obvious, no real big shocks and the show was lackluster for a 3 hour special. So ECW got Kozlov, apparently he needs "better competitzion!!"...good luck finding it their!

i wonder sometimes who is filtering these creative decisions in WWE. i reckon the internet community IS the most knowledgeable and reliable source of direction for the company.
i can also imagine an ECW with all the latest jobbers having good lengthy matches and i think that would defo attract purist audiences. Mark Henry doesnt fit on ECW - hes a bad worker whos just taking up space not trying to prove himself. Kendrick, Edgeheads, Ziggler etc should be on ECW and learning their trade there

I thought it was a good draft but not as shocking as last year's. The thing that bothered me was the constant titles switching from one brand to the other. I'm glad Jericho's getting a fresh start on SD since we haven't seen him their in action since 2002 (unless you count last year's when he fought against MVP but that was just an interpromotional thing). It'd be pretty stupid if Edge wins the belt back from Cena for like the umpteenth time. Titles switching hands are getting on my nerves.

with BOTH champions on RAW, i think everyone is expecting CM Punk to cash it in at Backlash.
BUT THIS SEEMS TOO OBVIOUS FOR THE SMART FAN, so i'm predicting a swerve.
Cena just got the belt back, but he may get screwed by CM Punk or lose to Edge, HOWEVER,
HHH has held the gold for a while longer now, and his belt wouldn't lose any cred if Punk cashed in

It seemed to me like they just switched around a few of the changes from last year. Rey returned to Smackdown after being drafted to Raw last year and HHH returned to Raw after a year on Smackdown.
I guess you can see how much WWE has soured on Kozlov too. I kind of like ECW as it is. They revolve more around the young, athletic talent. The other two shows are headlined by guys with 4 moves.

Raw got some pretty crappy drafts besides MVP & Matt Hardy.
Smackdown got some good ones, with Jericho, Rey & Punk.
Still don't get why they drafted Miz to Raw and not Morrison who has way more talent.
Can't wait to see the Supplemental Draft and see who else gets drafted..hopefully Christian to SD or Evan Bourne to Raw.

I really was'nt expecting a secondary title unification like the rest of ya. The IC title going to SD means it'll get more TV time cause SD is more of a midcarder's show. I just hope the US title does'nt get ignored like the IC title did on Raw(a main eventer's show). But TSlay you did mention Superstars so maybe it'll get some TV time there. The Hardy's(especially Jeff) should've stayed put on SD. I guess Christian will win the ECW World title at Backlash, maybe thats why he stayed put.

The cruiserweight title should stay dead and buried. This company doesn't need anymore belts. Raw gets double the audience of Smackdown and Smackdown is on lame duck network, there could be no good done by moving Cena to SD.

I'm pretty ok with SD's picks. If nothing else the moves were interesting. Like TSlay I would like to see some of the talented but seldom used guys head over to ECW in the supplemental draft. I know that the WWE has trouble booking the titles that are currently active, but ECW should have the cruiserweight title on its show.

I can see your point. I think TSLAY mentioned that because Smackdown should get some kind of top level guy in return if they are giving up their top man. I don't want to see Smackdown stay as the B-show. It would be nice to have 2 relatively strong brands. With that said I agree with you in that it would be very very hard to move your top man off of the flagship program.

Jericho on Smackdown will be interesting. With this draft it seems to me like at Backlash, Cena is either going to lose to Edge or Punk is going to cash in to bring the belt to Smackdown. I can't see them having two heavyweight belts on the same show for too long.
And, I can't really understand why Miz went to Raw and not Morrison. Doesn't seem to make much sense. Morrison should definitely get a push this year.

I believe that the writers are making Christian earn his way back up, I believe that he will win this "elimination" and beat Swagger for the title, thus, possibly making Swagger switch brands? and Christian (somewhat) bigger.
and Matt Hardy might(and it's a big might) become a main eventer, at least, I thihnk, they're giving him a big push with these last hardy matches

I think Punk will turn heel very soon. After Cena beats Edge Punk will pick up the scraps, and maybe we'll see Cena/Punk feud(which by the way, i don't mind at all). Batista might also turn on HHH and join Legacy or be a heel on his own and feud with HHH while Orton feuds with other dudes(MVP, Show, Matt, Cena). Would be cool, i've been waiting for a heel Batista for 2 years now.

having guys like Jericho, Punk, Edge, Benjamin, Jeff Hardy, Kendrick, and Mysterio could lead to a more "wrestling-oriented" show, while RAW could remain as the show more focused on the "entertainment" factor.
YES, this may solidify SMACKDOWN as the B show, but a B show with great wrestling beats an A show with HHH & Cena any day.

1st of all, the draft means nothing if things go back to the way it was and guys start showing up on different shows left & right.
2nd, I think SD got the better end of the deal in terms of which talents I like. With Edge, Jericho, Taker, & Punk all on the same show, I might actually watch regularly. They also go tthe better midcard & Women's champs. If they had Christian & Morrison, it'd become my favorite show in the WWE.

Raw didn't gain much. I mean yeah they have both World champs (which might lead to a unification match unless Punk somehow steals one) but that was the case going into Mania, so that didn't matter really. MVP & Matt Hardy might be interesting choices, although I am a little upset that they ended the Hardy feud so soon.

For th emost part I kind of feel like the brands just gave each other the talents they had no big plans for originally. Kane, Punk, Rey, Kozlov, & Big Show were just there & were kind of floundering. And no way in hell Jericho is gonna be a top guy on the same show as Cena & HHH. Not a prayer of that.

The draft this year seemed to me like a little bit of a novelty. Its just an attempt to boost ratings heading off the back of wrestlemania....and a weak attempt at that. The big draws that moved brands were too obvious, no real big shocks and the show was lackluster for a 3 hour special. So ECW got Kozlov, apparently he needs "better competitzion!!"...good luck finding it their!

I think Swagger looked really good in the match against Cena, so I was happy with that. They should have unified the US/IC and the Women's/Divas Championships and then put keep the IC Championship on RAW, the Divas' Championship and all the women on ECW, and the WWE Tag Team Championships and the tag teams to Smackdown.
RAW Announcers should be Micheal Cole and Matt Striker.
ECW Announcers Todd Grishim and Josh Mathews.
SmackDown Announcers JR and the King.
