First time I heard about Sleater-Kinney was in my 9th grade English class. We were studying Homer's Odyssey so I think we listened to Memorize Your Lines. Then they opened up for Pearl Jam and I was hooked. Great band Portlandia's awesome too so is Wild Flag

The Woods is by far my favorite S-K album.

Big drums, sonic guitar bombardment, primal vocals. It's meaty and visceral.

It is everything a brilliant rock album should be and nothing it shouldn't be. Perfectly in its open breathing nature.
