This movie had so much potential. The trailer made it look like it had much more substance than it actually did. Instead, much of the movie is each character walking to their next destination. Also, I was told it was supposed to mirror Columbine. I only saw a few parallels; the rest were just common misconceptions.

I don't believe Columbine was based on any bully situation. The shooters had a large group of friends. One of the shooters was a psychopath, the other had plans of suicide his entire life.

No. As someone from Colorado who saw the shootings unfold I can say that Erick Harris and Dylan Klebold were bullied/excluded and that's what made them ban together and execute people in their school.

Sure, they probably got bullied, but I doubt that it pushed them to the limit. Eric already saw everyone as being inferior, Dylan was sort of just following. I'm just getting my facts from 'Columbine'. Some of the stuff seemed accurate and made more sense and it was deeper than just being bullied.

That theory has pretty much been proven false. Cassie Bernall, whose mom wrote that book, was never even asked the question. Eric Harris peaked under the table, said "Pekaboo" and shot and killed her.

Valeen Schnurr was asked if she believed in God by Dylan Klebold. She said yes, he asked why, and then nothing really happened from there.

It's sad, but true. People always try to find comfort when a loved one is lost, and the Cassie Bernall story is a direct result of that. What a tragic event.

Acutally, this story was made up... They asked another girl if she believes in God because she started screaming 'Oh my God', but she was merely injured. Cassie, the girl you are talking about, was shot - but for no reason.

I was so intruigued by The Columbine Massacre, in and out. So I was deeply moved when I came across this movie. Its moving, and I admire Gus Van Sant for taking his own approach with something as sensitive as this.

En mi opinión lo de la masacre en Columbine sólo es el telón de fondo, de lo que trata realmente es del bulling en las escuelas e institutos...y de las consecuencias de eso...Pero además hay muchos temas secundarios:la anorexia, la incomunicación entre padres e hijos, la soledad,etc...que son mucho más importantes que el hecho de la matanza en sí misma...
