  • I like new sonic people need to cut sega some slack

  • Yugi Naka come back!

  • Hypothesis: Black knight is gonna suck. What happened: Black knight sucked. You´re a good future teller.

  • Or else what? Sonic's ALWAYS been good. Shadow was pretty cool, Heroes was great, Black Knight and Unleashed were awesome for their gimmicks and story and Secret Rings had a great level up system. Sonic fagboys like yourself need to be slapped around and be taught how a game series works: IT. EVOLVES. INTO. SOMETHING. NEW. AND. BETTER! Get that. New > Old. Complex, better graphics, voices and story, complex and new gameplay > Simple, shitty graphics, no voice, bad story and ancient gameplay.

  • @vgman94 Wow. You apparently like better the sonic games that were worse. Sonic is de-evolving (whatever). Not evolving. At least the voices in Sonic Colors were an improvement. IF THEY CHANGE THE FREAKN VOCIES FOR THE NEXT GAME, I SWEAR I WILL NEVER BUY A SONIC GAME AGAIN!!!

  • @Tibiademon555 The voices in Colors SUCK, except for Tails. Sonic sounds like a 20-year-old. Sonic has new ideas in each and every game and don't let the same gameplay repeat itself into shittyness (not a word, I know..). Not buying a Sonic game if they change the voices again? What kind of sick brat are you? Sonic's gimmicks > Running mindlessly for 20 hours with no variation. Get it through your head: Sonic is just better with variety, not simplistic repeats of gameplay made 20 years ago.

  • @vgman94 ._.

Y´know... I´ve hated sega for a few years now. Sega, I forgive you. I´m sorry for insulting your voice actors and your ways of making jokes. I´m sorry. I didn´t know it was your fans that told you to do all this SHIT. MAN, SONICS VOICE HAS ANNOYED ME FOR YEARS. THEY GET A GOOD ONE, AND YOU SAY IT SUCKS! Sega is trying to get NEW fans not please their OLD fans! That´s what every company does! GET MORE FANS! They clearly won´t advance at that if they keep SUCKING!! *huff* *huff* >:(

  • @Tibiademon555 He is supposed to be a sly, cool, teenage smartass, not have the voice of Atlas from God of War 2. I'm not knocking Roger Craig Smith as an actor. In fact, if he could try a slightly higgher voice, he'd be fine. SEGA was trying to get new fans for YEARS with the gimmicks. New ideas each and every game, unpredictability, always something new. That was the great thing about Sonic, along with the music. SONIC. HAS. NEVER. SUCKED. GET. THAT. IDIOT! 06' may be an exception, but still.

  • @vgman94 THAT´S what makes sonic so annoying. He´s a TOTOL showoff. Hell. He doesn´t even run at the speed of sound. HE JUST SAYS IT SO MOUCH THAT IT GETS EENNGGRRAAVVEEDD INTO your SKULLLL! And he ALWAYS REPEATS HIS ONE-LINERS! Faster than the speed o´ sound! Faster than the speed o´ sound! Faster than the speed o´ sound! Faster than the speed o´ sound! FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK. I DON´T EVEN KNOW IF THE JOKES IN THIS GAMES R SUPOSD TO BE FUNEH! ASDFASDF ASSDUFFFFFF \.!.. (fk u)

  • @Tibiademon555 Black Knight rocked, you idiot. Sonic even got some character development, before it was thrown out the window for out-of-character jokes. He's NEVER said "faster than the speed of sound", EVER. Or at least not in the damn games. If anything, you should say something on his lines like "I'm Sonic, Sonic the Hedgehog". The jokes in Colors or what other game? And fuck you too. You have no taste in games. Small minds do like running around in circles more than more intelligent beings.

  • @vgman94 So... you´re saying that sonic and the black knight... the worst sonic game ever in worldwide opinion... the game that made sega gain infamy and hate... rocked. Proof that some people just don´t know how to play video games. That game... had the easiest, dumbest, lamest excuse for a final boss I could have ever thought about. Also it is a follow-up of sonic and the secret rings. The sonic game... sorry... the game with the stupidest ending. Using a wish for handkerchiefs. How saddening.

  • @Tibiademon555 Please, in worldwide opinion, Black Knight is a mixed bag. In worldwide opiniion, 2006 was the worst. If YOU think THAT game gave SEGA hate, you're an idiot. The hate started since Adventure, but it was only until Heroes and Shadow that the fanbase became crackheads. The difficulty of a final boss doesn't speak for the rest of the game. He was thinking of her, not himself when he made that wish. Jeez. Not that it was a smart wish anyway, but what could you do?

  • @vgman94 Hmm... Thank you for reminding me how much I hate sonic. Let´s hope you have something worth responding in the next comment.

  • @Tibiademon555 YOU IDIOT. you again? your just a fat troll with no life.

  • @vgman94 Your Opinions are not Facts, please Stop Stating them as Such.

  • @PKMNTrainerTyson When others start doing the same. Until then, why should I hold my tongue while they act all mighty about their underdeveloped thoughts?

  • @vgman94

I guess you make a Good Point...

  • @vgman94 No it doesnt you dumbass Classic will always beat Modern FACT

  • @bardhi09 Shove your "FACT" up your ass, pal. Classic is simplistic, outdated and decent, but Modern games are far better (excluding the horrendous Colors and Generations games).

  • @vgman94 Are you a fucking idiot or what? Colors and Generations were actually good games but let me guess you're favorite sonic game is Sonic '06 what a faggot.

And Classics is certainly not simplistic or outdated at all(in terms of gameplay) in fact its complicated i struggled to master the physics to my advantage for months but when i got a hang of them i was having so much more fun.

  • @bardhi Good games?! Running for 100% of the time is BORING. Sonic was never meant to be just speed. Sonic 2 had Tails, 3 had Knuckles, CD had time travel, the Adventure games had multiple characters/storylines. Heroes up until Black Knight all had unique gameplay mechanics to improve the gameplay and add variety. They're all gimmicks, THAT'S what Sonic's about. Hell, speed was added as gimmick when making Sonic 1. Unleashed is my favorite, dumbass. The gameplay in the 3D games are more complex.

  • @vgman94 Well Colors did have gimmicks(and they didnt suck like in Black Kight or Unleashed Werehog). And no Sonic does not run all the time in the Genesis Series he has platforming and also explores alot.

Speed was a gimmick for Sonic in the first place do some research Oshima wanted to do a game about a hedgehog running through loops.

Unleashed is anything but Complex You're just holding the Boost Button for most of the time.

Adventure and Adventure 2 however were good.

  • @bardhi09 Black Knight added a simple, but effective combat system that helped move the gameplay along without feeling monotonous. The Werehog was made as an opposite version of the Day stages, making it 2 games in one which helped each other from becoming repetitive by giving them breaks. That's miles from sucking. Unleashed is complex because the Werehog has 30 moves, platforming while Day has speed and exciting levels. The Wisps were power-ups, not real gimmicks.

  • @vgman94 From what I've seen, SATBK's Gameplay looks like Hold Foward, Constantly Swing the Wii Remote and Occasionally Jump to Win. And the Werehog Stages while the Platforming and Exploration was Cool, the Fighting made it very Repetitive for me. But...that's my Opinion I suppose.

  • @vgman94 ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME? If anything Balck Knight felt monotonous all you had to do was go forward->stop->Fight and rinse and repeat.30 moves doesnt=Complex at all and Sonic isnt a beat em' up.

The wisps were gimmicks not power-ups the levels were designed with them in mind for the most part hence they're gimmicks.

And if you think the classics are monotounous then yoyu're dumb as hell since people have played them for 20 years and they're still fun and give you new surprises

  • @bard SATBK felt monotonous? You had multiple swing options (not many, but a few) a flying kick and even a homing attack while spinning the sword. "Sonic isn't a beat 'em up". Who says? Sonic had his trademark speed in the Day stages and experimenting with combat is nothing wrong. 30 moves is A LOT for games like Sonic. Many enemies in Black Knight can also be skipped easily. I don't care if people have played them for 20 years. I've played other games which held surprises years after release.

  • @vgman94 So what? Its the same shit! Says Sega and says the famous games such as the Classics he's a platformer not a beat em up experimenting is why Sonic Sucked for almost 10 years.

Black Knight or Unleashed for example never give you any surprise since there isnt many alt paths while the classic(Especially S3&K) have like mutliple paths and secrets which you never know of them all cuz the levels are so large you always can find a new route you didnt know of before to take.Im done with you

  • @bard "and says the famous games such as the classics he's a platformer not a beat 'em up". If the majority opinion said self-mutiliation was cool, would you do it? Sonic hasn't sucked for 10 years. Experimenting is what makes it fun and unpredictable. It made the series adventurous. Now we have predictable and boring rehashes of old, unimaginative (as of now) gameplay. Unleashed has a few multiple paths here and there. Multiple paths in and of themselves aren't well-suited for games like Sonic.

  • @vgman94 Bullshit as if i want to play a main game where sonic punches enemies.I wouldnt mind spinoff to expirement such as like Sonic the Fighters but the Main Series need to stay intact.Multiple paths are very well suited for Sonic Games that's a major part why i still love replaying the Classics and recently Generations.

  • @bardhi09 "but the main series need to stay intact". It DID stay intact. Speed was present in the Day stages, in Heroes and Shadow (which also had the exploration you so needlessly value). Black Knight had speed as well (if you skipped a few enemies, which you can do in a large amount of Sonic games). The extra gimmicks were great for experimenting and not letting it become a stale, repetitive piece of shit. Repeating the same gameplay so closely is idiotic and forces it to lack creativity.

  • @vgman94 Obviously you're an idiot just becuz its not repetetive doesnt equal good and Balack Knight is a spinoff so i guess they can exprirement whatever the fuck they want but i still wont buy it

  • @bardhi09 Just because it's repetitive, that doesn't mean it's good. On the other hand, variety is normally a good thing. You neveer tried then? Figures? You'd probably be too stubborn to enjoy it even if you did play it, because you just don't WANT to accept new things for Sonic. It's you tyoes that drag the world back into the dark age. Your type of specimens should be extinct.

  • @vgman94 *facepalm* The wisps were new i liked them.

  • @bardhi09 Wisps were power-ups. Overly simplistic gimmicks that don't make the gameplay feel fresh or new. However, If you like it, that's fine. It's no skin off my back.

  • @vgman94 Wisps were gimmicks the levels were designed with them in mind and also Black Knight isnt Sonic Gameplay it feels more like a hack and slash game with Sonic copy-pasted into it.

  • @bardhi09 How are Super Mario-esq power-ups okay, but sword gameplay is not? The Wisps were not "Sonic gameplay" either, but you accept them more than cooler fighting moves. It's ridiculous. You need to let go of your biase eventually. Any sane fan enjoys changes. Hack and slash was mixed with speed. Sonic or not, it was good.

  • @vgman94 The wisps added to the Platforming the sword just killed the entire game.

  • @bardhi09 The sword added to the combat. The Wisps just killed the entire game.

See how stupid that sounds? The sword didn't kill the entire game and neither did the Wisps, but the Sword added far more to the game than the cliched gameplay mechanic the Wisps essentially were. Slashing your way as a knight through hordes of undead knights is more badass than mutating into some freaky alien for 5 seconds.

  • @vgman94 No thank you.The sword ruined the platforming

    The Wisps added to it.

  • @bardhi09 Sonic is not a platformer anymore. Sonic Unleashed Day had no platforming. And considering the storybook series is an on-rails spin-off, there is no place for platforming on those games. The sword ruined NOTHING. Understand? The Wisps added to Sonic like my hair adds to my overall weight. It added nearly nothing to the gameplay. It made it just slightly more tolerable, that's all.

  • @vgman94 *facepalm* Sonic was a platformer in the Classics. And this is a major part why the games kept getting bad reviews and will always be getting if they continue that way.If you want to just run non-stop or beat enemies play a racing game or God of War or something and GTFO.

  • @bardhi Do you read? I said "anymore". As in he outgrew that pure platformer craze from the 90s. God of War isn't the only combat game out there, nor one that has all the positives. Prototype, Batman Arkham City and Crash of the Titans/Crash Mind Over Mutant have combat aspects that GOW doesn't have, which make them just as addictive as GOW or even more addicting. "If you want to run non-stop play a racing game". The hypocriy from liking Colors and Generations and saying that line is hilarious.

  • @vgman94 Bullshit Colors you run crazy only in 3D sections

Generations has lots of 3D platforming in Sky Sanctuary,Planet Wisp,Crisis City,Seaside Hill etc.

  • @bardhi09 Games like Spyro are far more suited for exploration elements than a fast platformer.

  • @vgman94 Bullshit the Classics and Generations had lots of exploration of course the exploration wasnt forced it was always an option.ITS CALLED REPLAY VALUE.I dont know about you but when i replay a level i dont wanna do the same thing and go to the same route i wanna try different ones.

  • I just wanna say one thing, Sonic´s half about fluid gameplay and half about Platforming, nowadays it´s to much Speed. Unleashed for example, high production value actually, but still was only half decent (daytime) and those parts were just way to fast to get the mix between speed and platforming right.

I normally don´t comment on Sonic related videos, but I guess it doesn´t hurt to say something for a change! ;) Anyway, just my 2 cents.

  • Sonic and the Black Knight ending up being pretty good actually

  • Sonic unleashed bad? Uh ok then.
