Vanille's may be the strongest in terms of possible damage (I mean, hey, 1-hit KO), but it isn't all too reliable. I've only used it for farming as much as I can remember.

@kuglefang It would be her magic stats, because you can only use this ability in the Ravager, BUT, when you execute the move and Paradigm Shift w/ Lightning as a Commando, it still raises the chain guage AND deals more damage.

@iiixySaTnAfLaNiF that's not true. Being a Ravager doesn't just use the magic stat just like being a Commando doesn't just use the strength stat. Ravager boosts the chain bonus as well has attacking enemies with elements. It's not limited to just using magic...unless you're using Vanille or Hope.

Justin you unlock the crustarium ability at the end of chpt 11 after you beat the final boss. You don't have to leave though u can stay in 11 just don't get on the ship

@justinM39493 lightning, hope and fang. you have the best ravagers in light/hope and best commando in fang with lightning as a backup. light/hope are both decent medics, fang is a very good sentinel and learns a good number of sab moves, hope is pretty average as a synergist until he learns haste, then he's really good. i would use sazh in place of hope but hope is so useful as a medic.

found some tricks using Lighting's Army of One that's great when mastered: her attacks will keep an enemy staggered even when it the stagger'll wear off untill her attack ends, when changing paradigms during the move other charaters will use moves in a new role right away, any other time they can't do that, and is a way to keep attacking while healing and/or adding buffs in a non-attack paradigm since she won't stop attacking if her role's changed: this also works with Sazh's Cold Blood move

Lightning : super saiyen

Fang: nuke

Vanille: CDI Gannon power (DIE!!)

Sazh: bullet time (ZING!)

Snow: "falcon...PAAAAAANCH"

Hope : nuke (Pious version)

@Krispygee19 you get then when stage 9 of the crystarium opens up. you get them like you would abilites during crystogeneiss. once you have them they can be used by the party leader while in a certain role (E.G ravager for Lightning)

each move can onley be used throgh to Abilites menu, and thus will not appear throgh auto-battle, forcing you to deicide when best to use them.

OMG NO!!!!!!!!! I always though Army of One was for the Commander Role on Lightning. Dammit. So.. Question to anyone, should i focus on training more Lightning on the Ravanger more than on the Commander? Is she better when she is Raveger or Commando. Confused i am, but i need help. Thanks!

@hectormagi3 ravanger. fang should be yer main comando in ur party at all times (unless theres a boss that needs other characters)

@hectormagi3 Probably Ravager since Fang and Snow end up with higher Strength than her - but she still makes a good Commando. I'd recommend a party of Fang, Lightning and Hope, and have a Com/Com/Rav paradigm for staggered enemies. Fang and Lightning can really dish out the hurt working in tandem, especially if you let the computer-controlled one Launch the enemy first.

tip to everyone: Fang's and snow's ability should only be used with 999% bonus shortly away from shock(or is it called stagger?) state end or as a finisher in a battle.

sazh's ability is better than lightnings, as it will miss less often, but i still prefer lightning.

finally no more yellow,orange, ugly clothing style like tidus,waka and no more immature main char like tidus, vaan. they went back to cool clothing like cloud, seifer, tifa, rinoa, aeris. finally atb like ff7/8 is back. one thing disapoint is ultimate attacks.... it dont look and dont sound so good as ff7/ff8.

I found them totally useless. Only good move is Highwind but others are just ok. I can deal more damage with Lightning normal attacks than using her special move.

@Dannst3r Its prefer to be used when its on Stagger. Lightning's specially. Becoz it can reach 999% Stagger quickly, than normal ways.

@Dannst3r Damage isn't the point with her special move. It's supposed to raise the chain gauge on Staggered enemies. It's the easiest way to get them to 999.9%.

Played all final fantasys, from my point of view, this saga is empty, since some of the original final fantasy staff left.

Awesome graphics without final fantasy spirit.

btw characters special moves are only an amalgam of explosions , colourful sprites and jumping damage numbers, were more impressive in other final fantasy games, (Tidus, Cloud, Cid, etc)

for lightning and sazh, if you paradigm shifted into commando right when you attack then you dish out a lot more damage,so say an army of one does 1.5k normally per hit, if you shift into a a paradigm with 3 commandos when you pull off the move you would do around 5k damage per hit which is quite a nice bonus.

You can get 'em before you beat the game, they're in the Chrystarium expansion after chapter 11. AoO is particularly useful for chain gauge build.
