So here we have a fiercely loyal, stand-up guy, who isn't afraid of commitment and is willing to fight or even sacrifice his life to protect the ones he loves or even just to protect those weaker than him - I'm sorry, what part of that makes him a jerk or a loser?

Sure he has flaws (like everyone) but he's a good man, unlike many characters in pop culture - characters who are often idolized.

This game should have been a first-person shooter.

....hehehehehe. The best part is I'm only half-trolling. I swear to god the number of psychotic unbeatable bosses that could only be defeated through an absolutely perfectly orchestrated feat of luck and teamwork was RIDICULOUS. And your characters always grouped up and would get raped by area-of-effect attacks.

That said, awesome game, wonderful cutscenes as per the norm with Final Fantasy.

What I really like about the animation in FF13 is, unlike in previous FFs, the lipsing of the characters were actually reanimatred to fit the english dialogue! COOL! So cutscenes don't look like a foreign novela dubbed in english. The characters in FF13 are actually speaking in english! I wonder how much budget in the production cost was invested in this. ;)
