@tylerxfire Before i had this setup i had magnapacks, stock headers and the magnaflow xpipe with hi-flo cats. Better than stock but not nearly as aggressive. I have a video posted of that setup as well. Just look through My Videos.

Have you had any tickets or problems with the cops for it being loud? I have bassani Lt's and O/R X-pipe and I'm thinking about getting the magnapacks unless it's just too loud and ridiculous. I just want something that's has a deeper tone to try and balance the raspy sound of bassani. thanks!

@krackhouse11 I'm in Ohio and have not ever been pulled over in the 5 years since I have had this on where they mentioned it (stopped for speeding and tint). Not sure if it was luck or something else. The last part of the video of the one while I'm on a closed course shows how quiet it can be. It CAN be rather obnoxious when it first starts and is cold.

I have been mixing and matching pieces exhaust wise to try to clean up as much of the popping as I can and my final setup is worse then all of them. Slp catted X pipe to slp loudmouths makes a real nasty pop. Wonder if getting headers would help clear it up.. Sounds good man

My first choice was a total crap shoot when I put this combo together in 2005. I was lucky since no one (at least posted on the Internet) had ever posted what it would sound like. For the money I spent I'm glad it worked!

Hopefully you will find something you like. Headers do make everything sound deeper but sometimes even more raspy. Good luck!

My 2005 has been good. The 2010's are supposed to be even better quality wise. I had one of the first ones off the assembly line taking delivery Oct 23, 2004 and I have been lucky to have avoided many of the first model year problems.

The previous owner let it go, which was really bad because it was a nitrous car...so yeah. So i really want to put myself into something more reliable with a warranty. Well, for reference, let's just say the stock set-up is a 5 on loudness. The Magnapacks with the hi-flwo cats were a 7.5 (but I didnt have headers then). My current set-up with headers and magnapacks and o/r X is a 9. I guess you can have louder running straight pipes or another muffler out there.

With my old set-up I wasn't as self-conscious starting it up at 6 am. I wake up the neighborhood with this one though.

the magnapack is an entirely different muffler. you can get the regular magnaflows and then the magnapacks. the magnapacks are much louder. I had the hi-flwo Magnaflow X pipe before I had the headers...check out my earlier videos and you can hear a real difference

That wont make much of a difference since they are shorty headers. Your standard Magnaflows are considered pretty quiet when compared to Magnapacks. Some people just cant stand the magnapacks.

My dude, if you want a loud Mustang, you could look into JBA long tube headers and SLP loudmouth exhaust. Magnaflows are naturally pretty quiet from my experience compared to other brands.

i just think a lot of people are kinda stuck on the "old rumble" and go with flows, where i've kinda gone with the times and respect the higher pitch corsa-ish sounds that the new muscle sounds best with. straight through has proven to make more power. not only that but they come all stainless and polished, and they actually get louder when u rev it. tests have proven the flows get quieter when stepped on.

Longtube headers is the way to get that really loud sound. The x-pipe vs. h-pipe does not have that much effect. I used to have stock headers, Magnaflow Tru-X with hi-flo cats and the same Magnapacks and it was not nearly as loud as this. The old set-up is on one of my other videos.

an off-road pipe does not have cats, and will not pass any kind of tests. hence the name, for 'off-road' use

Much louder inside and a drone at 2400 rpm. You just learn to avoid cruising at that rpm. It's definitely not for everyone. And it is an "offroad".

Not sure since this is the only set-up I have had with the off-road. Only one other guy that I can find has the Kooks longtubes and magnapacks. That guy has cats (and a blower) and it doesn't have the snarl when you let off. Seems very quiet to me compared to mine.

do you have a catless X pipe and Magnapacks?.. not many setups have that sound. i'm hoping my x pipe and stingers sound similar, and it should since they are the same style bullet mufflers. a traditional muffler setup and an h-pipe won't produce that smooth roar on the 05-08s

Look up Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act...if the dealer can attribute the failure was caused by your part...then they can deny warranty. Also depends on the relationship you have with the dealer. BUT...if you start to modify like this...you shouldn't have your hopes up for warranty work. You need to be realistic and know that something will go wrong...and you may have to pay for it.

Put it in full screen mode and you can see the right rear of the car dips a little due to the torque when I rev it. It was a brand new set-up when it was put on and it is solid...still no rattle at all.

no problems. you would probably need to turn off your o2 sensors...so you need a tuner anyways when you go with headers.
