Switch on Aero, then it'll use the graphics card instead of the CPU. Plus it'll look much better while improves performance.

It's not a lie. The 50-60% in XP was from the screen recorder, CamRecorder.exe (Cam Studio)

how the hell windows needs 50% the cpu-power req'd to run stalker clear sky in dx10 that's beyond me. I did not have too much lag 'issue' with mine... I just hated it. It sucks (WHERE is my midi dev, WHERE is my hardware support, directx10's pretty water effects is NOT worth the upgrade to 7/V OS in any way shape or form, and this is coming from someone who has two 260s SLI'd). I hope they keep supporting xp, and so do my tech customers. NO ONE WANTS A NEW OS THEY DONT NEED. I rest my case.

LOL mine is at 0 when i go over the taskbar but that may be due to my uber customized win 7 that looks like a clasic windows from the 90's
