moOswe It's more than a mere "name" I think, Ska (the earliest form) and Rocksteady are quite different to Reggae. Rocksteady was a transitional version of Reggae, rather as early sixties "R&B" is to late sixties Soul. The names were not invented for nothing!

Several Album covers from that time depict the Spaghetti Western theme.

This was called all sort of things when SKA became mainstream on jamaica... It was called rocksteady, ska, reggae and you name it, because thats all there is too it. A name.

Too me this is the sounds of my youth and I feel better about everything when hearing this music, it makes me happy and thats what we all should focus on, being happy and forget everything else.

I went to Brixton [from Gainsborough,Lincolnshire] to the railway arches to the record shop. Fantastic.
