  • scary.

  • were was this at

  • many i remember living in oklahoma and hearing these sirens all the time. We'd hide in closets in the middle of the day or get woken up in the middle of the night to go hide... it really sucked as a kid.

  • i can see why. we dont here this that often other than the test days. il remember the day i had just picked up my cousin and we where driving to my house and there is this crazy storm. i say at least the sirens arnt sounding. 2 min. later you here some whelens go into attack mode and im like oh shit! later came the hail. the hail was so thick you couldnt see the frount of the car. once the hail stopped you saw alot of downed powerlines and broken trees. there was also major flooding!

  • One time, the sirens went off at about 2 in the morning in May. I remember my mom screaming at my sister to get out of bed and go to the basement. My sister wouldn't budge.

She was grounded until the end of the school year, which was only 2 weeks away.

  • looks like a nice hail shaft there over the farm house

  • It´s like the German E57 siren.Still in Use for little village for Fire Alert.(Firebrigade).

  • Im not scared of wheelen but its scary when far away from it. you know... that whistle sound. whooooooow

  • The Whelen sounds creepy.

  • Yep, It sure looked like it too me too :) good eyes!!

  • Yea. I see it at 1:53 through 1:59

  • were you the one filming or driving?

  • actually it's a 2800. 2900s have a lower pitch.

  • You are right, Whelen has lowered the tone on all their new sirens.

  • Sounds like a Whelen siren

  • It is a Whelen. What kind of Whelen I do not know.

  • its a Whelen 2900 series,unknown how many cells but probably a 2900-10.

  • were you driving,walking,or biking

  • Wow, where were you located?

  • we were about 2 1/2 maybe 3 miles out from the storm...lol if we had gotten then about 10 minutes sooner we could have filmed the storm going overhead, oh and Theshiggityshwa, we were driving.
