Just a quick note: Only a licensed Physical Therapist can provide physical therapy. It is a protected term. Yoga instructors cannot claim to provide Physical Therapy unless they also hold a valid Physical Therapy license in that state.
she's not claiming to be a physical therapist! As a matter of fact, my YOGA classes have helped me more than physical therapy and chiropractic care!!
I didn't say that she that she is "claiming to be a physical therapist!" as you wrote. It is the description tagged to this video that is questionable. (It is a matter of terminology.) And if you look closely I didn't claim PT to be superior to yoga or chiro care. No need to get defensive...I'm just educating. Yoga cannot be termed "physical therapy" unless provided by a licensed physical therapist. (it is protected term.)
The treatment of physical dysfunction or injury by the use of therapeutic exercise and the application of modalities, intended to restore or facilitate normal function or development. Also called physiotherapy.
Try a medical terminology class before you give lessons. It's like saying you have to be a doctor to say medicine. Claiming to be a therapist would be fraud, but claiming something is part of your therapy is not. And it says she started yoga in PT.
Thanks for defining PT for me. I had no idea. However, you missed the point of the discussion. The term "physical therapy" is a protected term. Physical therapy describes the skilled work done by a physical therapist. In other words you can’t advertise that you offer physical therapy unless you are a licensed physical therapist, just like you can’t claim to practice medicine without a medical license.
These comments are not very yogic. Ahimsa.

Keep away from this club. The owner threatened and harassed me when I objected to her playing Satanic music by Led Zeplin. .

really nice. I love how she takes it slow, and explains how to do each position. this will really help in class.
