look guys limits and controls are the answer when it comes to fish stock not locking the door, ive been fishing in nz for nearly twenty years and fish stocks go up and down all the time, without fishermen there would be no studies done on the level of fish in anyone area, yes some of the older guys have had a who cares attitude to the life of stocks over the years, but they are mostly retireing now and the new guys in theindustry want a job in the future so we care about sustainability

The whole ignorant ideal behind marine reserves is ludicrous, the only life they'll protect is that of floral, or reef and grass. We need quota's for our fisheries worldwide ensuring populations. Since fish migrate, a closed area only benefits species with little or no migration. These giant fishing corporations which catch more in one haul than i harvest in a year are the major factors. Im tired of getting blamed for overfishing when a giant steel hull harvests 100 tonnes in a day!
