@KoolCordell This is a stock exhaust set up man! I only have a u-bend delete which doesn't change the sound. The deeper growl is mainly from the K&N intake. I added the HV3 insert and it sounds even better now. I have to post a video of that soon.
@red02GP nice i have the s1 in a 88 God i wish it was 2 years younger then i could have had a s2 :( i am trying to find a good exhaust for it all i want is a growl it doesn't even have to be like loud i just don't want it raspy lol
yeah, i got a 03 gt for myself, and i find it quick just stock lol. i find it easy too do long burnouts cause mine never came with traction control from factory, loads of fun ahahaha
to be honest you're reving too low my zzp pcm goes to 6600 just before 6800 which is the internal parts braking point. I do about 6.8s on my GT with no major mod inside the engine my greatest mod is shaving weight out of the car other day I weighted the car to 3300 which is 200 less than stock that will automaticaly increase your performance all my suspension is aftermarket including brakes and exhaust everything was picked lighter than stock including my radio and speakers. Yeah I am paranoic.
wtf are you talking about. the 1.0 pcm from zzp changes your shift points to just into the red; at or around 6200. if you were fucking going to 6600 you would still blow a freakin valve spring seeing as your internals are stock. if you do rev that high, prepare to get fucked
I had some problems with my valves springs some time ago...I changed them some months ago with some zzp ones is still kicking hard for a car over 115000 miles. Thinking in a new car to be honest. Duno which yet though.
i own a 2002 Pontiac grand prix gt and it's red. i really love the sound of my engine when i take off. i sometimes throw it into to neutral and floor it to hear that sweet rumble sound. i like the power too. the only think i dont like about the gtp is that you have to but premium gas so your supercharger doesn't go blow up on you.(combustion) i prefer my gt over my 2000 v6 mustang also red that i owned. i will post vids soon of my car.
yeah i know its slower but i like the gas mileage like you said. i wouldnt trade my car for anything else unless it was a 69 GTO or a G8 gtp. i love both those cars would be great to have them all but oh well not rich. but i love pontiac and im very sad that its gone now:(
69 GTO? haha me too. A man can dream. I love the Pontiac's, don't get me wrong, but the current buzz is the new Ford Taurus *cough cough. (They should have ditched the name for are new one.) ...Anyways, I digress. I'd like to mod my GT, but no money for that, yet :(
lol yeah. the taurus has been gone for some time but ill never buy one. god a 69 gto would be crazy though. yeah ive modded my gt a little. i put on a cold air intake, hollwed out my catalytic converters and im getting exuhast and tuning done to my car. my friend owns a body shop and owes me 200 dollars lol. i race mine at the drag strip here in florida and pul 16.45 which isnt bad for a stock 2002 gp gt. so hopefully when im done and get my f1 body kit im buying on my car. it will look sick.
16:45, definitely not bad for stock. You'll see the difference, I suppose, as you go along making each mod. F1 body kit? Damn. Make sure you put up a video of it when you're done.
i definitley wil post a vid of my car when i get everything done on it. i havent yet cause i want to get all themods on there first so i only have to make one video. but the f1 body kit only cost me like 900 and my friend who has the body shop is a painter as well so he is going to paint it for me and make my cold air intake work with the hood.
Theres more to it then just a supercharger between the GT and GTP. GTP has stronger internals that could handle the power better then that of a GT, and i believe the GTP has lower compression then that of a GT. But in my opinion, i think the GTP is a better car to work with. GTP will require less work then that of a GT.
@Pracerdohczx2 Not true... The difference is in compression, heads, intake manifold, placement and size of the injectors, timing, SC pistons have more space between the piston top and top compression ring than the NA pistons. The 04+ engines both SC and NA have Powder Forged connecting rods and Moly Coated Piston skirts. Block, crank and cam are the same...
People have been top-swaping - essentially putting the head etc. from a GTP on a GT - for years...
@miriveq ok? so whats your point in saying its not true? I said theres a difference between the GTP and GT motors for the series II type... 04 and up are Series III.
how many kr are you getting did i see that right 25? and are you using 87 or 93 in the video?

A GT with a supercharger is the GTP --a 60 horsepower difference. I have an 04 GT, slower than the GTP but has better mpg.
