I don't like those dark ritual games, it scares the shit out of me! I mean, dude! Look at those summoning candles! Please, stop playing that! You are only making apocalypse come sooner!
before you call it fake you should probably try it. call it crazy but this is one of the easiest things to test that people commonly think is fake.and, for the record, its real. the Wii remote looks for two sources of infared light on a horozontal plane. it judges distance by how far away or close together the sources are, so you should try to get the candles as close to where the lights on the sensor bar would be. doesnt work great, but hey, ok replacement for a broken bar till you buy another
lmfao you guys are idiots... if you understood that inside you're WII REMOTE is a Infrared camra.. then you would understand that CANDLES PUT OFF Infrared light.. AND you would know it works. you Noobs..
Go cut yourself, the put blood on the wicks of the candles, then light them, then it is garenteed to work. yes secret is, is that you need blood on the wicks in order for it to produce the IR lighting.
Nah it does work with candles as the flames emit an invisible infra-red radiation which is just like the sensor bar does. theres some videos of people setting tellys on fire by accident using them though so I wouldn't reccomend it.
you don't need to. Just make sure the candles are 10 cm apart. The Wiimote needs two lights as a point of reference so it can show you where the cursor is. The regular wii sensor bar sends out infra red light, thus why you cant see it. It works the same way with candles.
Would it be easier if the sensor bar was wireless. That would fix all my problems right there. Guess I'll try the candle thing without starting a fire...
actually no.. it detects the candles' small amount of Infrared because there is no other ambient light interfering with it. If there is even a minute amount of ambient light, it won't work. :)
No it detects the IR from the candles, ambient light is just that, light, and visible at that.. IR is heat, rather I should say heat is IR.
I have found it works best with two small oil lamps, I have two the size of those little tea light candles. Oil lamps ftw being refillable, adjustable, and the wick never drops below the side of the container(helps not loose sensitivity when placed on top of the tv).
@DaLooseGoose11 Did you know that it takes Nintendo about 50$ to make a Wii and its accesories and they sell it for 200$ The goddamn nunchuk costs them 1$ and they sell it for 20$
if it's fake then why are there so many different videos with the same thing happening................

I work at EB Games and this does in fact work.. many customers have tried it and came back with their success stories.

Wouldn't haing burning candles on top of a TV be slightly dangerous?
I mean wouldn't it burn thru the plastic on top of the TV.

you could try www.wirelesssensorbar.com, as you may have inferred, they sell wireless sensor bars.

I tried it and yes it does work well in bright light too it's awsome this is not fke I just did it a minute ago
mayhem052 5 years ago
That's like....so cool. LOL. So basically, if the sensor bar ever stops working....we're all set. Just light some candles!! Awesome!
aaronk000 5 years ago
Can you light candles in the light instead of darkness and still have it work?
Because they said in the dark.
So is there a possibility?
NguyenDu 5 years ago
Yes, it works in the light. Your sensor bar works in light, doesn't it?
Vibratic 5 years ago
actually no.. it detects the candles' small amount of Infrared because there is no other ambient light interfering with it. If there is even a minute amount of ambient light, it won't work. :)

actually, yes. not well, but yes. sitting on my bed 3 feet from my tv it worked fine
