  • if it's fake then why are there so many different videos with the same thing happening................

  • I work at EB Games and this does in fact work.. many customers have tried it and came back with their success stories.

  • I don't like those dark ritual games, it scares the shit out of me! I mean, dude! Look at those summoning candles! Please, stop playing that! You are only making apocalypse come sooner!

  • @AndreCunha1 apocalypse is not true

  • Comment removed

  • @qour200 shut it you probably don't even have a wii so i wouldn't be talkin moron

  • @Sonic1234z I do have a wii and i did infact do this but not with candles...

  • ive been in able to do this, in a flourescent lit room and can sit about feet away on my couch and works fine

  • I Didnt Belive it and i Tryed it , IT WORKS :D YAYY

  • amazing! my damn sensor bar is broken.. but until i get it replaced tomorrow.. this will do..

  • Just tried it... It works. Amazing!

  • aHUAhuahuahuhauhUHAUHauhUHAUhaA

  • before you call it fake you should probably try it. call it crazy but this is one of the easiest things to test that people commonly think is fake.and, for the record, its real. the Wii remote looks for two sources of infared light on a horozontal plane. it judges distance by how far away or close together the sources are, so you should try to get the candles as close to where the lights on the sensor bar would be. doesnt work great, but hey, ok replacement for a broken bar till you buy another

  • i dident believe it till i tryed it ,,,,,,,,and it really works hahahahah amazing

  • great now i dont have 2 buy another sensor bar

  • looks cool! thx for the post!

  • It Actually works...

So weird but it makes sense since im taking Chem :P

  • I got to try that!

  • lmfao you guys are idiots... if you understood that inside you're WII REMOTE is a Infrared camra.. then you would understand that CANDLES PUT OFF Infrared light.. AND you would know it works. you Noobs..

  • I think you spelt it wrong. D:

Also, call them idiots, not noobs. :D

  • you! ... =fail

  • try it mother fucker

  • thats awesome came home and forgot sensor bar this works great , life saver(not really) but yay :D

  • Go cut yourself, the put blood on the wicks of the candles, then light them, then it is garenteed to work. yes secret is, is that you need blood on the wicks in order for it to produce the IR lighting.

  • no, it cant! do you own a wii? if so i suggest you try it, if not then stop making claims about stuff you dont know about

  • its probably because you have bad candles AND the room wasnt dark enough.

  • yes i tri

    ed it

  • @crazy580 moron i have tried it so shut up

  • i wonder whats below your tv....

  • wut are you laghin at asshead

  • Very cool to actually see it in operation.

  • cool i like it a lot i'll try it wen i get my wii!!!

  • wii like to play with fire

  • thats totally fake. 2 sensor bars anyone?

  • Nah it does work with candles as the flames emit an invisible infra-red radiation which is just like the sensor bar does. theres some videos of people setting tellys on fire by accident using them though so I wouldn't reccomend it.

  • Lol, I just tried it, it actually works really well.

  • yeah! I've just downloaded the internet channel trial, god it's quick :) Its also playing that flash video ^_^ I'm not using candles though.

  • this work and is for the liht no for the infraliht , put a liht on the tv and this work ok noods

  • are you retarded? It's the infrared light that makews it work. Put a lightbulb up there...doesn't work. Yer the noob.

  • acutally almost all light sources put off infared

  • your fake!

  • it's not fake. I've tried it myself. Try it yourself if you have a Wii

  • how do you conect the candle to the wii???

  • you don't need to. Just make sure the candles are 10 cm apart. The Wiimote needs two lights as a point of reference so it can show you where the cursor is. The regular wii sensor bar sends out infra red light, thus why you cant see it. It works the same way with candles.

  • ...jesus christ I hope you weren't being serious...

  • buy a wii and try it, otherwise, stfu

  • thats lawl

  • wow how did u find this out

  • hmmm strange...!

  • Haven't you read all Console manuals???

Playin' with bare light may be dangerous for your eyes...

  • Wouldn't haing burning candles on top of a TV be slightly dangerous?

I mean wouldn't it burn thru the plastic on top of the TV.

  • wow! neat! how'd you find out about that?! that's awsome!!!

  • Would it be easier if the sensor bar was wireless. That would fix all my problems right there. Guess I'll try the candle thing without starting a fire...

  • you could try www.wirelesssensorbar.com, as you may have inferred, they sell wireless sensor bars.

  • I tried it and yes it does work well in bright light too it's awsome this is not fke I just did it a minute ago

  • That's like....so cool. LOL. So basically, if the sensor bar ever stops working....we're all set. Just light some candles!! Awesome!

  • Can you light candles in the light instead of darkness and still have it work?

Because they said in the dark.

    So is there a possibility?

  • Yes, it works in the light. Your sensor bar works in light, doesn't it?

  • actually no.. it detects the candles' small amount of Infrared because there is no other ambient light interfering with it. If there is even a minute amount of ambient light, it won't work. :)

  • actually, yes. not well, but yes. sitting on my bed 3 feet from my tv it worked fine

  • No it detects the IR from the candles, ambient light is just that, light, and visible at that.. IR is heat, rather I should say heat is IR.

I have found it works best with two small oil lamps, I have two the size of those little tea light candles. Oil lamps ftw being refillable, adjustable, and the wick never drops below the side of the container(helps not loose sensitivity when placed on top of the tv).

  • Awesome. Using brains for once to beat a billion dollar company! lol

  • seriously lol

  • @Leeming89 actualy...Nintendo is a TRILLION dolar company!

  • @DaLooseGoose11 Did you know that it takes Nintendo about 50$ to make a Wii and its accesories and they sell it for 200$ The goddamn nunchuk costs them 1$ and they sell it for 20$

Nintendo are a VERY smart company

  • @Leeming89 No! You are now paying over and over again for candles.

  • Pretty neat indeed!
