My opinion, this is the best duet I have ever seen on TV. There have been some great collaborations but not one has ever received the crowd response as this performance. Music industry please brings back this energy and magic. They killed this – in the best and most rewarding way!!!!!!!!!!!

Patti LaBelle is a powerhouse singer with a gifted voice, and not many men can sing with her because she has that type of voice that will drown you out if you're half stepping, however I only know two men that I've seen her sing with, that she couldn't out sing and that was Luther Vandross and Michael Bolton

Michael Bolton can sing with anybody, when you sing with the legendary opera singer Pavorotti, you better come with it, I saw the video of him and Pavorotti, and even Pavorotti was impressed with him. This blue eyed soul singer reminds me of the Righteous Brothers, they were two of the baddest blue eyed soul singers that could sing with anybody in the early sixties. Michael is a reincarnation of them. Give credit where credit is due. The boy can sing,

Michael is definitely a heavy weight singer, I saw him sang with the opera singer Pavorotti, and I said to myself you are out of your league singing with Pavorotti,even Pavorotti was impressed. This guy is definitely gifted,you can't deny this guy has an exceptional voice. He can sing with the best of them. And no Patti did not out sing him, even though she tried, he made her sing her part. You have to admit this is a bad blue eyed soul brother. He reminds me of  the righteous brothers.

Give Michael his props. He held the melody line during the improv, and that is hard to do. Besides he sang falsetto too!!!!!! Please,that was phenomenal!

He caught everyone by surprise. i disagree that Patti out sang him, they were perfectly matched for this duet, even Berry Gordy was amazed.

This is the type of performance that you will never see today's artist even come close to. This was off of the charts!!!!! For him to be a replacement and hold his own with PATTI!!!! Very few would attempt it and even fewer succeed. She makes you sing and makes no apologies for it. I miss REAL VOCALISTS:(

Hi ranhill, I thought the same thing too. "She screams too much"....and just "too much".

Then my friend got me to go see her live. Now I don't know if you've ever attended one of her shows. But I gotta tell ya, this woman made me my spirit jump for joy. She's like electric shock therapy for the soul. And I've never been the same since.

So if Patti's ever in your town, I highly recommend giving her a real chance. And let your heart be open. She'll make you see yourself.

You're probably right, there's nothing like live music and I'm sure that , as you and others I know personally have said, Ms Patti puts on a great show. Maybe if I see he live I will have a new found appreciation of her talent. But until then, I will have to pass on her videos and other recorded music.

I'm happy for you that you like her. That is the essence of art - we are all affected differently by it. But for me, she simply over does it. For me, there is a point where the vocal, lyric, and music come together, and one does not dominate the others. The result is a truly great song.

If you do a web search for Philly Radio station "WDAS-FM" you will see them perform live a few day ago, Oct. 13, 2008. They were great and did three songs from their new Album and an interview! It was hott!!
