  • I bought this decoder from your shop before. How much does it cost to install this dcoder to p42 with ditch light effects.

  • @TheHekoayujp please call 513-388-9000 12-6 PM ET on Saterday

  • lol now it's a EMD F42PHI :D

  • Where do you get this???!!!

  • the horn is on point but word of advice. got to your nearest amtrak station and hear a ge prime mover because it surly does not sound like that but still a great effort. I like the directional lighting and the horn was nice but if you would a ge 4000hp prime mover, it would of been perfect

  • what kind of track is this

  • @skylinrr34 It is ROCO with roadbed, it is discontinued was too expensive.

  • Where can I get this engine?

  • @wasteom From DCCTRAIN store in Cincinnati, OH Please call us 513-388-9000 12-8 PM ET.

  • @wasteom From our store. Need to wait new release then I will convert few engines.

  • i have the eng just got it to day do not have a dcc contral but can it run on a bochman dc contraler with out sound

  • Very beautiful model. Congratulations. 5*

  • Do you sell these locomotives?

  • Yes. Please call 513-388-9000 12-8 PM ET.

  • @dcctrain how much are the locos if i were to buy 2 and do u ship to CA?

  • @Addicted2Guitars They are sold out, new run will be available maybe on summer, I need to convert them with sound decoder only if you request it with payment upfront for everything. Price per converted loco is $250 you can calculate shipping on US Postal service website, engine weight 2 pounds.

  • Nice engines and liking the headlights but you got your self an EMD645 sound chip in there, the complete wrong sound for a P42. Thats a GE engine obviously. Nice sounds nevertheless, but get that EMD outa there and those will be even better!

  • Nicely done!

  • In the sound I can tottaly hear the whine of and emd turbo.

  • @atsf484number3751 P42s and all the other Genesis line are all made by GE.

  • very nice

  • Thats better.

  • really nice work.

    i like the marker lights

I thought i would try to buy these, but then I heard the prime mover. it's not right.

great work though, i've always thought about how hard it would be to put sound in those.

  • emd 645 in a GE P42. not too proto but it sounds cool none the less. this is really how amtrak should do it. replace the dumb GE prime movers with EMD ones

  • agreed

  • @jimmyp42002 Why would they do that? Also, why start up the classic EMD vs GE flame war? If you are an EMD fan, thats fine, but the railroads are the ones with the money and the resources and if they want to use GE, then let them. GE's get better power anyway. I work for the railroad. I dont talk without a reason. EMDs are nice for their Radial Trucks, but the power sucks and the traction motors take too dam long to load up. Im on coal trains alot and GE is what I prefer. Thanks.
