    Instead of this._x += 5

    you wrote this._ += 5

    Thats why it didnt follow you at the right

  • erm i'm sorry but the retards who are saying this isn't Artificial Intelligence are wrong it is because you are giving it a code to let it command it self to follow you this means you are not controlling it to follow e.g.(using a button or keys) its moving by its self

  • Wouldn't artificial intelligence allow the cube to decide not to follow the circle as it leads to no purpose?

  • Artificial intelligence is AI, that is where you give a NPC, Computer, Character, Scenery Object, etc. a mind of it's own. In this case pbj746 used a Math expression called Math.sqrt which was used to be able to check if the character was within the distance (100 pixels) squared of the enemy, thus making the enemy have a mind of its own by knowing when or when not to fallow the character. AI is simply any type of Math expression (Math.atan2, Math.sin, Math.cos, etc.)

  • when do you learn atan2, sin, and cos? I know what a square root is, but what about the ones you stated?

  • @FlashReknown Wow, that could not be more wrong. Sin, cos, etc. are basic trigonometry and have nothing to do with simulating "intelligence", artificial or otherwise.
