I have to say, the artistry that goes into makeup application is intriguing, in a peculiar kind of way. At least for me. At one time, this sort of thing was as interesting to me as watching water boil, but over time it's become more clear how much detail is required to make different products mesh well together.

You seem to have a good grasp on shade, contour, depth of color, and maybe I am just unfamiliar with this sort of thing, but it doesn't seem like too much (makeup).

I don't know if I'd wear it as an everyday look, with the darker eye *and* the darker lip. But, I could totally see doing it with a more nude lip during the day and the darker shade for evening. It's a gorgeous look. Thanks Blair!

you put a primer on underneath your eye shadow and it makes the pigment stronger and appear brighter. it also keeps your eye shadow on for longer, it kinda sticks it to your eye more :) hope this helps x

Primer for face or eyes is to make the colour of the eyeshadow birhgter and keep it from moving on your eye into a crease. Foundation primers make your fouandation go on smoother and stay on =D
