  • Amazing sound.... never heard in my life.... so nice...

  • why are they called “laughing crow flutes”?

  • on that type of instrument what does the price usually go from?

  • @acidfriend47 I'm afraid that is over 400 bucks...

Take a look to the bottom link of the video,at the description...

  • 10

  • Hey man, this would be great to have these tunes of yours on a hard copy. Do you have a CD? I'd buy it. It's great meditation/relaxation music.

  • @FimbulTar777 Thanks for your interest! Go to the main page on my channel & scroll to the bottom, & you'll see my CD "Under Watchful Skies" for sale on CD Baby. Strictly speaking, it's not quite what I'd call meditation music, but it is very relaxing to listen to. Most of the tracks are based around improvisations I did in these Korean tunnels. CD #2 should be out this spring. It'll be 100% solo flute tracks. Click the link on my website above for more info (News). Peace ~ Bruce

  • always sounds cool when one can get a echo effect goin..i play "Charles littleleaf" flutes, he is a premier maker for many high end flute players..you guys should check out his gallery some time..i have yet to see any like what he does, his head blocks are out standing, and they are solid wood not split so its a true tone with no glue to damper the sound..also its not blowing its breathing from deep within to play a native flute...all from the soul..sounds great here..

  • Incredible sound - lovely playing too.

  • i type in improvised double shotgun and i get this

  • Sounds great. keep it up

  • epic on so many levels, thankyou! I cant wait to get my paws on one of these flutes!

  • WOW I just fell in love with this sound.

  • Very beautiful! ******

  • Hauntingly beautiful

  • @sahar5br Why thank you! Richard's flutes & Korean tunnels are a significant part of the stew here, too.

  • dude... i never knew you do this with a shotgun

  • @AmBemol LOL!

  • Magic sound! Thanks from your videos, your instruments are prof!

  • hey piria, what are those guys tuned to in Hz? I tried playing along with my shakuhachi, but the pitch of your flute is a little lower than standard D. I meri'd it and it worked out though. :)

  • @axotrax : These flutes are tuned to standard tuning (A440). Hard to know exactly where the tuning will wander, though, in cooler environments such as this tunnel! Also, the pitch will change slightly depending on how hard I blow on it. It could very well be slightly below pitch here. Glad you were able to "accompany me" in the end, though ;) I'd love to see/hear your shakuhachi playing.

  • love the sound ...amazing my friend

  • Very fine, my friend! Yatahey!

  • most excelent flutes and playing! I have yet to get one of these big flutes made but am now on track starting with a PVC one with a 1.1/2" bore will see what I get

    mick

  • it sounds very funny :D

  • wow, that sound is spectacular and the echo of the tunnel just at that touch of mysticism.

  • amazing....peace...meditate,,, thanks again

  • You chose a great place with a interesting acoustic. A pleasure to the ears!!

  • Woooooooow!!!!

  • Piriajeoshi, you have the most amazing collection of flutes.

I will add to the previous comments: Every time you play this flute, not only are you blessing the flute, you are also honoring the life of Richard Laughing Crow. Hopefully, the joy you create takes back some of the pain he has lived through.

  • Wonderful sound in the tunnel~I agree you really bless this flute!~Thanks for sharing with us~

  • wow! amazing sound! love the resonant tone, how does the drone work?

  • Thanks for the nice comment! A drone is in fact 2 flutes in one. One side has no fingering holes and simply plays one note continuously while the other side works like a standard flute. There are separate mouthpiece holes so you can play them together or separately. The drone in this video is a shotgun-style drone. Some makers also make an "A" design. Click on my screen name and scroll thru my videos and you'll see a couple of these in action as well as a triple flute (actually a double drone).

  • Yes, it's a Laughing Crow flute. Richard really knows how to build a flute. In life, he's had more than his share of ups and downs, but I feel that all the hardships are released whenever one of his flute creations is played. Thanks for your (very humbling) comments!

  • Is this a laughing crow drone? I NEEED to convince my wife to buying me one. Richard has such a gift to providing us such beauty. You really bless this flute.
