I'm confused... Is this supposed to be better for image processing, gaming, or something entirely different? Is the mouse even moved that quickly in any of those applications?
Perhaps I shouldn't click random videos youtube "recomends" me.
Johnathan plays with a low sensitivity and he made this mouse pad for himself and to improve his gaming. He has talked about this in another video about how low sensitivity is better than high.
What I learned is that the better mouse pad provides more accurate positional information in the same amount of time and with the same type of jerky and rapid mouse movements. What you see as "more lines" are actually the same amount of lines drawn in a smaller area, most likely where the user intended. This is a visual proof of the concept. I guess you are home-schooled, or something like that.
The razer exactmat had way too much initial surface tension for me. I got it because I hated mouse "grab" when I was moving slowly. The last mousepad had no problems with speed, but on short precise movements, it took a bit to break the surface tension and caused jerking. The exactmat was slick, but it was too sticky before you moved and too slick once you broke the tension.
Inow use an everglide DKT soft pad. It's not grippy and not super slick, it's perfect and no unwanted grip.
now see, grip is called control, and that keeps you from getting your ass handed to you in games, i like it because it helps you get headshots, now you may like speed, but exactmat is strictly a control mat
My exactmat had two sides, a rougher control side that was still pretty darn fast, and the speed side. The speed side was smooth so it developed a lot more surface friction than the control side. The control side was pretty slick too though.
My soft pad I got from everglide has more grip or control than my exactmat control side did, but doesn't have that initial "Grab" when you want the mouse to start moving. It's more consistent all the way through the motion of your mouse.
i think it's the fabric of the black (not shiny one :P) mousepad that screws with the mouse, because it doesnt reflect back all of the image the mouse sends to the mousepad and the shiny one does.
The test is fairly valid, most of you are just failing to see what the result is, and that is not your fault. It should be more clear.
With one of the pads, the mouse would not track and the pointer would jump all over the screen. With the "better" pad the lines are grouped together because the mouse was tracking correctly.
He's is just showing that his particular mouse doesn't track well on that cloth mouse pad.

it looks like mouse smoothing....you really dont want that in precision games like instagib matches in unreal

get a razer exactmat, i got it on the controll side, the faster you can move it on the pad, the worse you will aim in a game...

it IS the dumbest test ever made
XR50ryder 3 years ago
@paranghelies its you, this is one of the best way to test mousepad. if you need to move fast (low sensitivity player) those lines tells everything.
toogi88 1 year ago
why are u faking the line shit are you trying to prove a point.... or sell something i dont think anyone realy cares.
bigpenis3473 4 years ago
You are clearly moving your hand faster for the smaller pad. Not that you might mean to, but you are.
CiaranLuke 4 years ago
If he moves faster it must skip early
sfour 3 years ago
If you look, on the cloth mats, the mouse will randomly jump up or down when his hand doesn't, that does not occur on the plastic mat.
ewilson92 4 years ago
the smaller mat is better in other words is it an icemat?
