  • The Aquarium (they made different claims it was the largest in the world and once they were challenged, they claimed they were the largest in water volume, in the amount of fish and dolphins and there they went with the hyperbolic fabrications) after killing 3 whales and a bunch of dolphins and penguins, it is the largest disappointment; one can 'explore' the Aquarium in 30 minutes or less

  • I really do not understand the advantage of living there. Unless you work nearby but even so I would be weary. I had to do some work downtown 3 yrs ago for 3 weeks and could not wait to get out of there. Downtown is a tourist trap: World of Coca Cola is a tourist trap, one time attraction, it is worthless unless the city needs a money mill, same goes for the Olympic Park that only brings memories of terrorism (the bombing markings are still there as if it was some kind of accomplishment)

  • Why do people who live in Atlanta always believe the lies of native Atlantans? The Westin is NOT the tallest hotel in the World! Nothing in Atlanta is the most of the world, what a freaking nightmare! I wish they would stop with the inflating claims.

  • @Anyushka73 No its the second largest look it up and I do not mean the largest hotel list on wikipedia

  • @Anyushka73 YOU A ATLANTA HATERS SMH

  • Atlanta is great! I went down there and stayed in the Omni Hotel downtown..and went to the World of Coca Cola and The Aquarium and it was all walkable (oh yeah I also went to the Hard Rock Cafe which was also walkable) I would love to visit again :)

  • @reneishajamesrocks all you did was tourist traps. I bet you wouldnt stand to live there

  • that's great. it seems Atlanta is pretty walkable.

  • @21centuryg NO it is NOT! That's why this lady lives in downtown where is menial compared to other metros.

  • @Anyushka73 Jesus Christ, you don't have to have a stick up your ass.

  • Im from NYC , my family moved to Atlanta like 3 years ago. And have yall ever wondered why so many people move to Atlanta? Its because Atlanta is the Mecca of the south. Atlanta like the only city outside of NYC and LA with a huge music and acting scene. And its cheaper than NYC and LA. Outside of LA and NYC , atlanta has the largest celebritiy base. In about 5 years the only American cities that ppl will really tlk about will be NYC, LA and ATL. Watch and See!

  • @DipsetBack09 my condolences. You are right ppl are already talking about Atlanta, record unemployment, saturated market, sprawl, and THE drug trafficking hub of the South.

  • @DipsetBack09 BUT ATLANTA WILL RALLY BE DA MAIN BECUH WE WILL HAVE ALL THIS STUFF LIKE THE SHUTTLE ,ATLANTA BELTLINE AND WE HAVING ALL THESE PEOPLE COMIN TO ATLANTA AND OUR POPLULATION IS GETTING HUGE N NEW BUILDINGS OCCURING AND IIT HAS MORE ARE THAN EVER

  • Nice video thanks for the info, just moved to Jonesboro, GA

  • @Dntworrybnappy my mother used to work in Jonesboro, GA

  • This was a very interesting video. I just moved to Jonesboro, GA and don't go to ATL that often but when I do go this type of information is very helpful. Thanks...

  • Thanks for doing this video. I'm considering moving there and this helped

  • I really love this city. I just wish people would stop asking how safe it is...its no worse than any other major cities in the US. I think people in Atlanta were quite friendly. :D

  • it's funny how she says the tabernacle isn't an arena or anything, only because philips arena is right across the street haha! i dunno i just thought that was funny. :)

  • I live in monroe, about 30 miles east of atlanta

  • Atlanta is the best city in the U.S and the world.

  • thank you :)

  • atlanta rules ..^^ it´s the new new york...XDD

  • Forget about downtown, I rarely go down there. I live in midtown Atlanta and I believe it is much nicer and safer than downtown.

  • @dmoton314 Yeah Midtown is a lot safer. its also considered a more "gay" area xD

  • I live in Atlanta and I love it !

  • @Jasmine123878 do you live downtown? and if so how is it? and also how is the crime rate?

  • @Jasmine123878

    Me too!

  • Oye mi gente what you want is Nueva York!

  • @Jdr770 yes

  • During the February 2003 NBA All Star game, Tavern management knew the restaurant would get a large influx of black patrons so it hung up two large "Welcome Rodeo Fans" banners and instructed its musicians to play country music, Chris Pappas, a former operating partner of the Tavern, testified. Even though a bull riding event was in town that week, this was done to deter black NBA fans from entering the restaurant, he said.

    GOOGLE "atlanta-tavern-accused-of-discrimination-again"

  • wait, was that a dude? I'm reconsidering moving to Atlanta now......

  • @WMachismo1989 You dont wanna live in Atlanta. Ghettoville, USA is what it is..

  • peachtree plaza is the 17th largest hotel in the world. 2nd largest in the US passed only by Detroit's Renaissance Center by only 4 feet!

  • tallest hotel is emirate tower hotel.

  • i leaving tommorow morning for my trip to alanta, ermmm

  • that fattie likes her coffee and cake I see XD

  • Oh Its my dream to leave ins o beautiful country in so gorgeous town

  • Chicago's the way to go. But this is a nice video.

  • i miss atlanta :(

  • my aunt went to atlanta and she told me that when she was there a few people people whispered around her "oh she's not white" and my aunt told me one dude called her chinaman.

  • @tc123123 No offense to you or your aunt in any way, shape,or form but I doubt the validity of your story. People here are very accepting of one another and due to the overwhelming majority of people from different nationalities people here know to accept and not judge people from other cultures and backgrounds. (FACT: 1 in 10 people who live in Atlanta were born outside of the United States)

  • @crocrolegs trust me , my aunt alwasy tell the truth. im guessing she was in the white nerighborhood.

  • I know Atlanta is a predominantly black and white city, but are the citizens open to other races (like Asians)? I don't want to sound racist, just curious, because I've always been enamored by this city, and hope to move there someday.

  • @pk4062 Oh definitely. My recommendation is to find a nice surburban city to live in. There are many white people like myself who are live in neighbors that have many Asians. We are pretty welcome to them actually.

  • @pk4062 Actually the northern suburbs of Atlanta (Gwinnett and Cobb counties) have a HUGE Asian populations. They even have the Atlanta Asian Festival every year around May 15. I love living here. I think as an Asian you would too.

  • I live in Atlanta :D

  • ATLANTA .. WOW GOTTA LOVE IT :) . MISS MY HOMETOWN

  • Atlanta is a beautiful city i dont care what no one says.

  • Atlanta is to the South as Wellington is to NZ or Sydney is to OZ. It's its own little world.

  • I'm so tired of people saying that Georgia is filled with redneck hillbillys. They don"t seem to realize that in Atlanta there are no rednecks.

  • @thetristonator yea right

  • @thetristonator yes but there are ghetto people to compensate for it.

  • i thought ATL was ghetto?

  • @Avalita07

some parts are, some parts aren't

  • @Avalita07 it is. She showed the nice parts of downtown and believe me, it is not that nice

  • Thank you very much for this video. I'll be next week looking for the dinner and beer place!!!!

  • lol i agree teaxs is full of stupid redneck posers who can't be themself or stick to their own kind. pyschos, esepcially dallas/austin. @loldeathboy

wendy dear, u did a great job! this is sooo cool!

  • We're all from North Decatur, been away for 3 years now, man do we miss it...

  • atlanta rocks!!!!!!!!

  • Dont visit BUCKHEAD, if you'r "differernt". BUCKHEAD BASEBALL is KICKING OUT "UNDESIRABLES" (non white folks) OUT OF A CITY OF ATLANTA PUBLIC PARK! And using the APD to do it!! And it's been going on 4 YEARS! YouTube "BUCKHEAD BASEBALL" to read the comments section. And i thought Atlanta was "too busy too hate". BUCKHEAD VIOLATED THE CIVIL LIBERTIES OF TRANSGENDERED FOLKS! And anyone else who is "different".

  • Dont go on the westside, simple as that.

  • it luks very modern , wat are the other american cities that luks like this one like new york etc ?? :)

  • Never been to atlanta how is this city?

  • There are panhandlers everywhere in downtown Atlanta-the new mayor's Kasim Reed system is not working!

  • dman i had a filed trip there yesterday (i live in douglasville) and it was so cool im gon move ther when im 18

  • Woo! i live just outside the city limits i love atlanta!

  • I stayed in downtown atlanta, and it wasn't bad at all. people mind their business over there, but are still sociable. All that talk about ATL being a dangerous place is false.

  • how

  • @nrg1901 DERKA DERKA!!!!!

  • my first walk through downtown atlanta, a guy asked for money to go get a cheeseburger or whatever, and gave us directions to go to the tabernacle he gave us wrong directions even though he knew where it was, there's alot of hustlers that walk around downtown, i still liked it though.

  • yeah i can relate to you, except the guy i gave change to told us the exact directions towards the ampitheatre.

  • lucky you huh.

  • one time is was walking in atlanta and this homeless black guy ran up to me and started screaming to the top of his lungs. his voice sounded like lil jon exept screaming.

  • it really depends on where ya go too

  • you kidding. atlanta is more dangerous than alot of cities.

  • Hey! Dha ATL is not dhat bad. Im oriqinally from Greensboro, North Carolina (So borinq, a place for people who like the freaking surburbs && who don't wanna live in a proqressive BIG city) but I currently live in ATL && i like it soooo muuch better.!!!!

  • My family was about to go on the elevator but my mom chickened out >:(

  • soulja boy live in ATL

    i live in BELGIUM

COUNTRY OF THE WEED CANNABIS MARIHUANNA

  • Atlanta's a terrific city, but sadly so few people actually live downtown. Like LA, most people who say they live in Atlanta actually live in a boring suburban box house "community" and it takes them 45minutes - 2 hours to actually drive downtown.

  • Fairlie-Poplar, eh?

    I'm jealous...I couldn't afford to live in such a neighborhood. T_T

    Oh yea.

Mary Norwood is up for election tomorrow, so go vote!!!

  • Yo, growing up in the Atl was not bad. For those you talking about how bad Atlanta is...hell they have better hospitality then the folks in the Midwest. Come to Ohio. It's funny how people hate on the same when you grew up in the south..lol. Country Grammar all day.

  • too many panhandlers in the city, this city ain't nearly as bad as detroit though, but it's bad, my last trip to atlanta i accidentally left my keys in the car door, i ran back after about 20 minutes or more, and the keys were still there, if it were detroit i think i could have kissed it goodbye.

  • pretty lame video...id like to hear more about mechanicsville, west end and south east in general... i think those places were the most intresting when i lived in atl

  • southwest that is

  • its my home to now and IT SUX ASS i wanna go back to chile

  • wrong. not the tallest hotel in the world. 2 tallest in western hemisphere

  • there are more caribbeans in the north, particulary the tri state area (ny-nj-ct) but some in georgia but mainly florida as well outside the tri state

  • They make you pay to go on that elevator now lol. Also alot of the windows got destoryed by the tornado :(

  • I'm sorry for this weird comment but why is everyone in atlanta black? it's very weird to me :| I've never experienced something like that!!!!

  • during the black flight a lot of poor african americans went to the south, primarily to georgia and florida

  • My dads from Macon.

  • cool story, bro.

  • Macon sucks

  • I go to school in Atlanta. It's horrible. G.S.U is right around the corner from that CocaCola sign in the video which is right across from Woodruff Park. STAY AWAY FROM THAT PARK!!! The racism is blatant and crass from people whom sit there ALL DAY LONG with nothing better to do than to harass students.

  • Then leave the city of Atlanta is not holding you hostage...

  • Oh, ok. Thanks for letting me know. I was worried there for sec.

  • texas is crap!!!!!!!!! full of deserts!!!!!!!!!

    everybody hates deserts

i h8 texas atlanta is better than texas

  • why would you come on an atlanta video and put down atlanta you fool!

  • @LALDEATHBOY insted of sayin atlanta is better than texas u should of said atlanta is better than houston.

  • @LALDEATHBOY i live in texas haha and i wish i lived in atlanta!!1 :((

  • @LALDEATHBOY watcha mouf

  • @LALDEATHBOY Who even said anything about Texas? Obviously someone has some anger issues. Texas is NOT all deserts, FYI. Ignorant much?

  • The Westin is not the tallest hotel in the Western hemisphere, The Marriot at the RenCen is.

  • Isn't Atlanta a mostly a black city? I'm not saying this to be racist, just wondering who lives there. The only thing I know about Atlanta is by watching "Gone With The Wind".

  • I live in Downtown ATL. Its a good mix. Ten years ago maybe. Now Black, White, Korean, oh yeah and mexicans we all live together. Sometimes things get a little out of hand. All in all its a good city with a bad drug smugglin problem. You should come check it out dude.

  • You're correct. A lot of the ghettos have been torn down in the recent years to build town houses. You deffinitely need to know where it's safe to go and where to avoid when visiting. It's nothing like "Gone With The Wind" though lol.

  • You watching a movie that was about a civil war? And you expect that ATL is still like that?

    No disrespect, just askin'.

  • Westin's tornado damage is still visible. You can see the missing windows.

  • They have to get different windows for every room now apparently because the company that produced the windows no longer do. Also, all the weathering screwed up the windows so it would look out of place with new windows and the old ones as well. Although, it's going to cost the Westin a bunch of money million dollars +.

  • ok, here's my take on atlanta, way better than any other american city, everything is BEING built, its in a state of development, its growing and getting newer, like tokoyo, no old shit like nyc, and no ugly desert landscape like vegas or la. there's room for expansion, wouldn't be suprised one day atlanta becomes the biggest city in america. on a downside though, atlanta has very little, ahem.. ethinic diversity, a little white, brown, and yellow to offset all the black please.

  • FUCK ATLANTA! LOLOLOL Sike na sike na sike na! lololol... Its a great city yo... But I rep the greatest city of em all and dats NYC! BX Pelham Parkway to the fullest!!!! But I love ATL... Real talk yo...

  • at 1:50 SOL MUNKI is to the left building

  • Guys dont stoop down to this anti-Atlantian talk. I was born at Northside hospital here in Atlanta and have lived here for about 90% of my life. I have been to more than 20 US cities and I always come back to Atlanta. I live in Roswell currently, which is about a 20 min drive north of Atlanta and have for most of my life. All of these racist rednecks most likely live outside of Metro Atlanta, so there opinion doesn't count. LOL.

  • your such a racesist! thats so mean.

  • sorry.

  • fuck u biitch fukk with me if u want it zone 6 lithonia where u can find me fukk with it

  • hmm didn't know atlanta had a town called zone 6..... is that a zoo?

  • atlanta doesn't have districts we're not new york.

  • My homeboy lives on Bouldercret Rd. He told me Atlanta was 100% Black. Only whites that can be seen come from the suburbs.

  • well, your homeboy was wrong

  • Nice video

  • SHit!! Anyone else from Ga knows, Atlanta isn't part of Ga. It's literally its own world

  • true

  • @MyhardPwner So is Savannah. I'm from Atlanta and I vacation in Savannah every summer. It's totally different.

  • Another note: We're not all straw chewin' hicks either. We're mostly all laid back easy going people, with alot of southern pride. ( don't mistake that for hate either). Some of the nicest people you'll ever meet are from Ga. So don't get it twisted.

  • Well said

  • shut the fuck up you backwood cousin fuck

  • how would they find me if they don't even know me you stupid, ignorant, living the 1960's racist. You be on the internet to much that you believe that you is still in the 1960's. Wake up and get a grip its the 21st century 2009. First black president Barack obama!!!!!!

  • OOooooOOooooOOoooooOooooOOOo a stupid cousin-marrying inbred-retard hick might cum git mi! Whatever will I dooooooo?

  • the south will rise agian and the league of the south is working for a new Confedracy I would like to come back to Atlanta when all these scum are sent back to the north and they real confedrates can live in Atlanta Ty Cobb and other southrons from the 20th and 19th century and Atlantains that fought in the cival war that are dead would roll over in their grave if they knew that the once great Atlanta is filled with coward yankees get out of dixie you yankees deo vindice the south will riseagian

  • Damn dude you really are a sorry sad case of stupid-fuck-itis.

  • you are not an atlantian the confedrate flag is not a hate symbol i know this even thogh i am racist if you dont like southron culture dont go to the south the southern way to spell southron is southron

  • You're right, I'm not from Atlanta. I'm proud and happy not to be from the most undereducated city in America.

  • atlanta sucks until the yankees get out and the southrons come back atlanta is a shithole filled with morons and cowards and jackasses i would fly a confedrate flag in atlanta even if you yankees dont like it

  • YAHHHHHHHHHH TRICK. ugly azz white ho.

  • The SOuth is either one of two things, and ONLY one of two things: 1) Predominantly white OR 2) Predominantly black; the south (with the exception of Louisiana) is like this as a whole as well. Its not my kind of place and plan on moving back up to Jersey once I finish by B.S

  • Im in college at Georgia Tech (Im a 3rd year Materials Engineering major) as of right now, that being said, THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS DIVERSITY HERE IN GEORGIA. Im originally from Paterson, New Jersey- New Jersey and New York (the whole northeast in general) are known to be the mecca of diversity and culture.

  • I live in Midtown only a few blocks from Piedmont Park and it is a very diverse neighborhood, both ethnically and culturally.

  • WHOA!- I think you are delusional!, jk. Atlanta is ONLY diverse within the context of the south. Ethnically? Culturally? Look up numerous statistics posted on the web and/or internet.

The reality is that Georgia TRULY is either predominantly white OR predominantly black (again, look up the statistics). Im biracial: my mother is Peruvian (latino) and my father is Guyanese (West Indian; our ancestors came from South India to Guyana in the early 1900's).

  • In New Jersey EVERYONE is mixed with something different and there is almost this unified bond among most people (even people whom have just come from different countries). Atlanta (Georgia in general) has some very specific places that may be diverse (for example a county may have a high Indian population; however they will just be the county with the biggest Indian population and STILL be outnumbered to whites and blacks).

  • You saying that the area where you live is "diverse" (whatever that means to you) is like me saying that my classroom demographics are "diverse". For example, in my political science class, we have 100 people. 55 of them will be white, 42 of them will black, the ones remaining will be an asian, an Indian, and a hispanic. Georgia is an immitation culture/state.
