Yeah it was an amazing experience watching this documentary, I also hope for those who didnt get to see it, it will come out on DVD. I would definitely go out and buy it. I don't really get what the objective of this thing is? Are some of the the proceeds from the documentary supposed to go to help these starving people in other countries or do they just show them suffering and then play Hillsong music in the background?

Oh, that's definitely a good thing. Everyone should be aware of what's going on in the world around them instead of blocking out third world countries or putting world poverty and hunger so far in the back of their minds that they never even think about the suffering that's going on. I just wonder where the $14.95 ticket price proceeds go. It seems rather hypocritical for Hillsong to make money off something like that.

After you take out the price of production, the hours and hours of video that needed to be sifted through from 2 years worth of film, marketing, and all the things like that the "profit" is hardly Hollywood film standard.

Which is more effective? Hillsong Church/Hillsong United doing all the work? or using their influence to inspire a generation to make a difference?

its something to help us to think, because truth is some of us don't know what's happening and some of us are unable to find out what's happening because of geographical differences (distance)

i believe it was made with the best of intentions...i don't speak for Hillsong but yes i believe that most of the proceeds will go to help the people,because that's the kind of church they are...

I dislike the way white people look down on those who they bring "mission" to. Im asian but my white christian friends who came back from mission trips treat me different than those who didn't... I don't get why they feel like they are the ones who have to make the great change.

I have nothing against christianity.. I am a christian. Its just a n annoying thing I sense.

I've been to mission trips before.. building houses,orphange,etc. I also volunteer at the MS every christmas,thanksgiving.When I'm not busy I'd go to old folks home.. Thats not sitting on my ass and complaining right?

Jimmy, I was born in Africa, a country considered one of the poorest in the world. This is the country that everyone thinks of when they want to mention poverty, so I know exactly what you mean. But you have to learn to let go of those feelings you have. Sometimes those feelings are: simply put: Pride. Pride makes the efforts that someone people do seem condescending, when in reality sometimes they are being honest and are overwhelmed by the poverty. God bless you, and pray about it.
