God Bless America and all that have fought for this Country..to all the idiots out there who want to make less of the sacrifices the men and women of our armed forces who have unselfishly gave and continue to give....I won't waste my time ; not with one of you..either love this country or leave it. Simple..what is it about this you still don't understand.
The Message is Clear to me, GOD BLESS AMERICA. & I Salute every American Serving OUR Country, Past, Present & Future! My Father Gave the Ultimate Sacrifice to OUR Country, to ALL of us Americans. RESPECT IT, RESPECT & SUPPORT OUR TROOPS & Thank God for Those Brave Enough to Stand Up for OUR FREEDOMS, OUR COUNTRY & OUR FAMILIES. GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS!
This is a silly song. Of course a cemetery would be exempt from this as cemeteries give homage to fallen soldiers. Govt buildings do not. America was founded as a secular nation and no amount of revisionist history will ever prove the opposite. Our pledge was written by a minister and even he left any reference to god our of it. Our adoption of the phrase god was done not out of a sense of religious faith but opposition to communism. At least know where it comes from before you argue for it.
to princesso8788: yes, pagans fought, so did jews, muslim, native americans. each denomination, if the soldier designated a religious affiliation, has the appropriate symbol on the stone.
@bluebobi Jews do get The Star of David in Arlington, I don't know about Pegans, but it's not about what they are buried in, it's the ppl who have died, they all died for the same cause, protecting your freedom. So really, don't bitch about stones and be thankful for what we do for you
@bluebobi Excuse me I am a frickin veteran. So dont go telling me what i may and may not bitch about you mindless twit. The best and last way we can honor those who have served and died is to honor their last request and bury them under the religious symbol of their choice. To do otherwise is a slap in the face to their memory. Oh and last I checked they died so I have the right to bitch as you put it. Including my fathers daughter who rest in Arlington. So shove it you jackass
pagans sacrificed their lives as well. They deserve the right to have what they choose to have on their stones. In loving memory of Sgt Patrick Harris.
@princesso8788 Jews do get The Star of David in Arlington, I don't know about Pegans, but it's not about what they are buried in, it's the ppl who have died, they all died for the same cause, protecting your freedom. So really, don't bitch about stones and be thankful for what we do for you
@nkent127 If I recall there are only three symbols sanctioned for use in military cemetarys, the Star of David, the Cross and the Crescent Moon. I believe Winnans are trying to get recognized as well. So far they've been able to get Wicca approved as a Chaplined faith.
Yes what about arlington if you take the crosses down is disrespectful to all those who died so you may be free that is about the dumbest thing you can do to them! And to all those who think they should remove the crosses you do not understand what this song means so dont comment on here!
its all true and thats that simple we just need to be glad that we have for them and pray for for the ones fighting and i'm 15 but i plan on going to arlington for ungreatful sons of bitchs that sit on there asses all day and bitch about how poor they are when we have thousands of soildiers fight for them
Kinda Ironic! The men and women lying under those crosses gave their all so even idiots have a right to openly comment on forums such as these! Reminds of something an old sailor told me once: he was real quiet, so we didn't know if he was smart or dumb. Then he began to speak and then we knew for sure!
i dont give a rats ass wardog if its a 21 gun salute or not or how many crosses there are at arlington ok jack ass it is about what the men and women buried there have done for us if it wasnt for them you wouldnt be able to got on here and complain about this song and eric 5906 you need to pull your head out of your ass and look around at what you have it is all because of people in the military that have fought and died for your freedom and if you have a problem with that you can leave.

Anybody giving money to these people is foolish. the ACLU *defends* the right to have a religious symbol on the tombstones at Arlington. Anyone who buys into the idea the ACLU is against religion has no idea what the ACLU is about.
that's an idiotic comment. It's a screenname. *rolls eyes* And coming from someone called "Weezymagee" even dumber. Here's an idea: learn to do some research for yourself. It's not about believing *me* regardless of my screenname, it's about trying to figure out the truth.
If you don't like saying "ONE NATION UNDER GOD" Thats your right, I have the right to say it and always will. If you don't like seeing the 10 commandments at the court house, DON'T freaking look at it. I have the right to see it and believe in it....
You have the right to see it and believe in it, you don't have the right to put it on federal courthouse lawns. If you don't know what your rights are, don't speak out about them.
Anything given by God(the entire USA)is the right and honor of every true American and not the right of the people that are simply moving here. Your so called rights were given to you by men and women that believe in the Lord and His Son, Jesus Christ.
Your freedom/right will not get you to the Lord or make you a True American, only service, sacrifice, and a willingness to die for something bigger than yourself will. You didn't earn those rights, you inherited them from me, my father, and my grandfathers. I don't ever want to see your mindless trash on this site or any place in the world or I will crush your bones and eat from your skull. >:X Got that child! !!
Its pretty bad when the countries we helped liberate during WWII have more pride and respect for our fallen heros then some Americans. The ACLU can kiss my ass, right along with the stupid ass idiot from Oregon who bitched about the WWI Memorial in the desert.
What founding documents are you referring to? There is not a single reference to any religion in the Constitution. The first line of the Treaty of Tripoli, however, which was drafted in 1797 under the Washington administration states: "the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion." This document was signed by John Adams. Thomas Jefferson and Ben Franklin were also vehement governmental secularist. Read your history.
By the way, the Tea Parties are about protest against confiscatory taxation and Socialist governmental policies. I went to the 4/15 Tea Party in Boston and it is an exciting and promising movement. Are evangelicals planning to highjack those, too? As long as it is controlled by the far Christian right, true conservitism in this country is dead.
This country was founded and our Constitution written by "the far Christian right".
50 State Constitution preambles honor our creator. We're a Christian nation that allows people to worship freely.

"True Conservatism" is not owned by faith-free Libertarians, but sanctimonious rhetoric usually is.....
Your opening statement reveals that you're ignorant of the facts. You are just plain wrong. Fundementalist evangelicals invented the notion that we are a Christian nation. Read Jefferson's letters. By the way, thank you for your service to our country. Please be advised that all those who disagree with you on matters of religion are not liberal, anti-American or communists.
What does the date of my birth have to do with the fact that Washington, Adams, Jefferson (particularly Jefferson) and the rest of the founding fathers were strong governmental secularists? You are absolutely correct when you say I don't run this country, but neither will ignorant, fundamentalist Christians like you. If you want to live in a theocratic society there are many to choose from. Iran comes to mind. I am on the side of our Constitution and you sir, are dangerous to it's ideals.

As tough as it is to swallow, I will stand with the ACLU on this one.
