I got a prob ...how did u join your genesis up ...line in or xlr Mic in ....i got mine hooked up through a ua solo 610 and the output from there is a xlr Mic line running into my interface xlr in ...but the Mic signal is very low some people cant hear there selves threw the head phone while beat playing to record should I go from my ua solo xlr output to my interface line in Input

Oh, and another point, (for the uneducated buyer who disapproves this Mic) you can't buy a Mic because people say its nice. Know why its nice. Know why you need the Mic. Just because a Mic seems to be cleaner sounding doesn't mean its better. It could lack warmth and body. Know the difference in between warmth, clarity. Mic hunting is can be a tedious process. I personally study a Mic months before I buy it. Specs, tone, and different applications (male,female,rock,rnb,ect.).

This Mic is amazing. I've recorded for a very time. I can tell this mic is the truth. Yes, it is better than the bluebird. Remember, having a recording chain is so important. Combinations are key too. I ran it thru my groove tubes SuPre and it sounded great for that nice warm vintage tone. Tube going thru tube. I'm gonna try my Focusrite pre for a more clean tone tonight. When buying a Mic, you have to know how to shop for a Mic according to need.

Yeah, I just ordered mine with an m audio interface. Im  stuntin the mxl .009 usb at the moment. Which is also a great mic but two issues i have with it is cpu load and lengthency. So I took care of that problem.

I just purchased a Blue Blueberry, I really like this mic. I am running it through a presonus eureka. If you are looking at the 400-600 range I would get the MXL. Espcecially for rap vocals and R&B.

I bought the MXL 009 and i can hear it and everything but it will not record. I have all the settings in windows set to the mic and i have all the settings in my DAW (Acid Pro 7) set to the mic but still it records nothing....??? any one else have this problem? I even tried using the program called reaper that the company recommended and still nothing.

@Ramiro562 MXL doesn't pop as much, I found that the bluebird is very sensitive. Genesis is RAW.

This MXL mics are american, Right?....but they were made in USA too?. I mean...I dont want to buy a mic like the new akg models that they were manufacturaded in Austria but they finally were "Made in china".

No lie this mic was made in china, but after 8 months of using it I havent heard a better mic than this one. I bought two of them and they sound great hooked up with a focusrite preamp.

mxl is crap chinese. damn microphone sweat shops in china seriously need lessons in soldering, i took a look at an mxl mxl mic that i got when i first started recording (i now spend from 1.5k to 6k on a microphone now :D) and i wanted to know why that mic broke. TERRIBLE ASSEMBLY, pcb was burnt, chicken leg solder lumps, etc. jesus...

@Timzsk8 Rode NTK is real warm, it takes a bit of eq to get it where I want it. The MXL really cuts through the track. Although I am also using a Blue Blueberry, and this thing is Dope.
