@tmisch64 This was recorded off the British version of Fox Kids and Nat Geo, other than that I can't comment on whether Nestle makes cereals in the US.
There were two versions of NGC, the one you see here was on Astra from 7pm to 1am after Fox Kids. The other one replaced NBC Europe in July 1998, that broadcast from 11am to 5am (7pm-1am having the same schedule as Astra), 5am to 11am was CNBC Europe. I think regular Nat Geo programmes ran on NBC Europe.
At the time Fox Kids and NGC shared channel 7on the Astra1A satellite at 19.2degE in PAL Videocrypt1 as part of the BSkyB Multichannels package. Sometimes on analogue cable there was a messy jumpy transition of the switchover when channels handed over to each other.
BSkyB isn't fully NewsCorp, it's only something like 38%, so the rest of that are the other shareholders as it's a PLC, but they're both in the same boat.
Oh then it was just that Fox Kids continued running until 7pm every evening although they were on a seperate transponder.. don't know when it's gone full hours, anyways I don't think it didn't last to broadcast until that early for a long time on Sky.. by the way, thanks for the infos!
Oh thanks for having put it again! Anyways this handover between Fox Kids and NatGeo if I'm right continued on satellite too, but I'm not sure.. do you know if they had and when they've gone both 24 hours on different transponders?
Indeed it did, they even ran a National Geographic preview one evening on Sky 2 to promote it, believe it or not. When NBC Europe closed down in 1998, National Geographic replaced it on (European) Satellite, so they got an added boost there.

Since when did they sell Nesquik cereal? As far as I know, there aren't any Nestle made cereals in the US.

When did you get digital?
myanthony1 3 years ago
We got NTL Digital in 2000, but I'm a bit of a techno head, I would have gone for Sky, if it was up to me ;)

It became 24 hours in 1998.

Ops, with "satellite" I meant of course digital satellite
Weekrulez 3 years ago
On Digital Satellite/Sky Digital it didn't, they were on seperate channels NGC basically went all day broadcasting when Sky Digital started.
